same here. locking and unlocking brings it back and it still kills all the BG apps. it works, sort of, and hope to see a fix soon.

I don't worry about the status bar, was surprised that I wasn't getting the bug and then suddently it was happening everytime.
I downloaded it from the BigBoss repo.
Look into PKGBackup. Not sure if it's compatable with 4.2 (YET); I've used it successfully with 4.1

Can someone explain to me what the diff is between RC5-3 for MAC and RC5-2 for Windows? Does the 3 have more bug fixes in it or something?
Also if and when the Windows version of GP is updated can I just over install the new JB over my current RC5-2???

The Greenpois0n site is now showing rc_b4 for both Windows and Macintosh. Supposedly, this new update will jailbreak the Verizon iPhone in the U.S.

My iPhone 4 was jailbroken but NOT unlocked. It was a tethered jailbreak via redsnow. Then I ran GreenPois0n and untethered it and it worked flawlessly.
My sister has a 3GS and it is tethered jailbroken with redsnow and unlocked via untrasn0w and has the iPad baseband of 6.15.
If I run GreenPois0n on my sisters phone, will it do anything to my current unlock?

Quick question re: 4.2.1 JB
I am currently tethering to access the net using my iPhone. Am i still able to JB with greenpois0n, or will I have to have another active internet connection to enable me to JB?
The reason I ask, is that I have tried and been unsuccessful several times "Failed". I tried the terminal method, but again "Failed".
Any help appreciated.

Hold on, now that I think about this. You shouldn't.
You need an Internet connection to d/l GP. You can do that with your current tethering arrangement.
To run GP, all you need is the USB connection from your phone to your laptop.
Once GP is done, you will be able to d/l Cydia via the cellular network.
So, I've changed my mind.
The README for GP says you need a working Internet connection, but once you d/l GP, I don't see why.

You definitely need an internet connection when running greenpois0n!
greenpois0n downloads a file from somewhere in the middle of the jailbreak which will fail if you're not connected to the internet. I found out the hard way.
Interesting. Thanks for the information. I wonder what that file is and why it's not part of the GP download.
Well the original JB for windows started with RC5-2 now it's at RC5-4....what was the 3rd and 4th release for?
I'm just wondering because if it's for bug fixes I may want to re-JB....also can someone confirm if it's safe OR not to install the RC5-4 over top of my RC5-2 jailbreak??
