You might need you restarted after jailbreaking for cydia to show up (lucky you it untethered and awesome!!)

Some people are getting this... What's was your stats before trying greenpois0n? (iphone model, iOS version, jailbreak or not, tethered or untethered)
Didn't even get into the greenpoison part to be able to jailbreak... phone went to DFU, then 3 files failed, (bad location in commands), then says greenpoison initializing... then just sits and does nothin... this sux.
It's normal, read my post above.
IT's normal to just sit at initializing? How long do I allow it to just sit there? And what do i do to kick it out, or will it do it on it's own? I let it sit for 5 mins then gave up.
Dunno. This is what p0sixninja said. I can't try, my mac is at repair and I am running Windows.
That was an error while downloading that sometimes resulted into a corrupt .zip file. Nothing wrongs with the Greenpois0n.
Wrong. It's an error while running the JB. See all the posts above![]()
yeah not sure who said it's normal, it's obviously not
Anyone's Cydia working? I installed it from Loader and it will not launch. Crashes on launch. Rebooted multiple times, no luck. Anybody getting it to work? Or is the version updated for 4.2.1 not installing?
I'm on the tethered jailbreak and not only is it stuck on that screen / not working for me, but it is telling me when I try to restore that Apple can't verify my version or something? So I can't restore my phone?
To get past the issue of "Initializing GreenPoison" do this:
Step 1. On your Mac, go to your Applications folder.
Step 2. Now navigate to the Utilities folder.
Step 3. Launch "Terminal".
Step 4. Type "sudo nano /etc/hosts" (without quotes) and hit return.
Step 5. Enter your password
Step 6. Use the down arrow key to find the gs.apple.com entries. Once the cursor is in front, make sure you comment out the line(s) by entering # in front of the text.
Step 7. Save the file by pressing CONTROL+O.
Step 8. Exit the nano editor by pressing CONTROL+X.
Now re-follow the steps of running greenpoison and you're golden!
