4.3.1 Jailbreak Untethered by The iPhone Dev Team Released!

Yea but i'm hearing so many options like redsn0w, sn0wbreeze, ultrasn0w...

That's where I got confused and didn't know which one to use..

Is this a straight forward process or do you recommend me to wait a few weeks ?

oh really... thanks. Doubt I would have used it anyway... but I'm sure I've read people saying they have it:confused:

What about Airshare/Airplay?? did they remove that too... the only change i've seen is the locations services in settings.
 
Just upgraded from 4.1 to 4.3.1 and jailbroken using redsn0w. All is fine now, but I struggled to update to 4.3.1. Had to manually select the firmware file, as the phone wouldn't come out of the restore loop, even when trying tinyumbrella.

All good now though. :)

Same thing is happening to me except I can't even get my phone to vibrate at all. Did you use redsn0w or pwnage?
 
After successful jailbreak of my iphone 4 (neverlocked) with redsnow, now I am on 04.10.01 and MC603FD. Unfortunatelly, I don't see any new functions of ios 4.3.1 like Personal Hotspot, AirPlay, AirPrint etc.

Help please.

You are not going to see Personal Hotspot unless you've signed up for it from ATT or installed TetherMe.

I was under the impression the only place you 'see' AirPlay and AirPrint are in applications that support it, e.g., YouTube.
 
can't get redsn0w to work on my Windows 7, I don't have xp mode on my 32-bit version. snowbreeze worked great no issues. Aptbackup is the best thing ever, easier jailbreak yet.

Redsn0w here too. I don't think doing the jb on another computer is going to make a difference though. I think it's some type of bug in the software. I'm surprised more people aren't reporting this. I'm now getting one very brief vibration when I get a text when my phone is in silent mode and one long vibration when I get a text when my phone's ringer is on. I thought I read that the phone is supposed to vibrate twice now when you get a text message.

The reason is I have vibrate set to off on silent in my Settings -> Sounds section and have vibrate turned on for when its on ring.

I'm sure you've already thought of this but thought maybe it might help anyways -- have you checked your sound settings for when the phone should vibrate?

For those of you having the 1 bar and no AT&T logo, Did you use Pwnage to JB? I did and had the same issue, 1 Bar and no AT&T logo. I have the BB of 04.10.01. I restored back to original settings and then JB again using Redsn0w. Worked like a charm and had no issues. I would recommend that.

Did the same, signal bars are back !!

But, still with the silent mode button issue !!

EDIT: I tried the silent button BEFORE JB and no problemas at all, after JB it starts failing, definitely a JB problem (both redsn0w and pwnage tool)

I'll assume you're IP is not locked for another carrier. When using pwnage ONLY to jailbreak and NOT TO unlock it, you must select the expert mode, and under "general" you MUST uncheck "activate". If you do this, you wont have the 1 bar and no logo problem.

I see the option for the Personal Hotspot in "settings" but tells me to call AT&T - so it does show up.

I also see AirPlay in apps that support it - such as iPod
 
I keep trying with redsnow and the pwtool and nothing . I keep getting stuck in the middle of the restoring and my iphone freezes up on the logo.
What am i doing wrong.>?
