4.3.1 Jailbreak Untethered by The iPhone Dev Team Released!

So if I'm right with redsn0w you always need to download the IPSW from the iClarified website, it's not like with limera1n that you would restore directly from iTunes (no custom IPSW) and only after you would run limera1n.

Mine seems to have a few bugs in it, whenever I launch Cydia the screen starts to flicker between Cydia and the screen where it shows the Apple logo with a white progress bar underneath, like when you're updating the firmware.
Ok, I jailbroke using Pwnage tool, everything is restored... well non-cydia stuff, but I don't have any network... Can't detect it. It's a factory unlocked phone... any ideas? Thanks.

check which version you are trying to install, this JB is not working well on 4.3, only on 4.3.1
Download iPSW (original) and than use RedSn0w, no custom iOS is needed.
Enter Cydia, update everything there (changes tab) and restart your iPhone
Having the same problem... Not a factory unlocked phone, ATT phone. Only 1 bar, doesnt say ATT, 3g or edge.
Tried opening cydia (which was already on my phone? I guess no loader from Pwnage tool?) and it said no network detected. Went ahead and started restoring from my backup now for lack of any other ideas.
I am getting error 1013 but my gs.apple line already has a "#" and I don't know why it's not saving the file... any help? CONTROL+O isn't working and CONTROL+X to close..

Moshe1010, thanks for your answer. I'm running iOS 4.1, and my iPhone is factory unlocked, I don't care for preserving the baseband, so should I first update normally through iTunes to get my baseband updated and then jailbreak using redsn0w or should I just jailbreak directly using redsn0w?

I had same trouble with the instruction in the past but figured it out back at 4.2.1. Make sure you hit enter after control+o. Look at my post couple pages back it tells the missing steps.

Hey there, sorry for not reading the rest of your replies but are you trying to preserve your baseband? If so, then that's the error that you usually get. Go to the TinyUmbrella website and download the Windows or Mac Recovery Fix. Have your iPhone plugged in and run the 4.3 recovery fix. It'll do some stuff on your phone and eventually the Emergency Screen will pop up.
Now, MAKE SURE that when you're on that screen you ACTIVATE your iPhone by running iTunes. You don't have to restore from backup, just make sure that you get a signal going on. Check by going on the net or calling your iPhone. After this, close out of iTunes and Tiny Umbrella if you're running it and then run Redsnow and jailbreak your device. All should go smoothly from now on.
Thank you. I fixed it following a YouTube tutorial... I didn't bother saving my baseband as I am factory unlocked, so hoping using just redsn0w will help jailbreak and keep my network this time around. Just so time consuming LOL.
Sorry saw your reply too late. Thank you so much for the help. I thought I wanted to preserve it, but since it is factory unlocked, I figured it would be ok for me to update it through iTunes regularly. Jailbreaking right now with redsn0w and hoping everything goes smooth. Will report back. Thank you again, you are all very helpful.
Edit - update: all is well. Got my iPhone jailbroken using redsn0w. Too bad I couldn't keep my baseband... messed up my upgrade using pwnage tool I think... ah well, hope it doesn't effect me too much in the long run hehe! Thanks. Now to restore, and recover all my Cydia apps/settings. Hope this goes well hehe!

And yes hbhg, that's pretty much what you want to do.
I was running 4.3.1 and while I backed up my phone and did a synch, I didn't lose anything and did not have to do a restore.
Also, I've upgraded iOS versions at work without losing anything.
I'm getting this also!! Flickering screen and a progress bar with apple logo!! Can't get a screenshot as it doesn't capture the logo and progress bar!
