Because I'm really surprised that it skipped from 12:10 to 5:30. I don't even think that's cool to be honest.
it's no secret that the 38mm is far less popular and in demand as the 42...people are ordering and receiving them within a few days.
That's actually never been the case. In fact, there's been little to no updates on the 38mm the last couple of days.
Look I'm sorry that the 42mm are delayed and I totally feel but please stop being so antagonistic about me posting here. I legitimately felt like it was unreal that the gap was so large between 38 and 42
k can we get back on the 42mm topic now that zaneliu94 has shared with us that the 38mm was shipped.
Got charged early this morning (and now "preparing for shipment")
I got a notification from AMEX that I got charged for my 42mm milanese loop watch! I'm in the Boston area.
Notification came in at 2:36AM
I ordered the 42mm around 3:04AM EST on the 10th, got my confirmation email around 3:06AM EST.
I still have another watch order outstanding (space black 42mm) that's coming but this should tide me over until that one arrives!
BTW- I should mention that I emailed Tim Cook this weekend and that surely must have been what did it, right ? Whatever ... I'm psyched!

I'm in the Portland area, and my email confirmation is 12:07 as well. Still processing for me too.
Is the confirmation email time even relevant? I've heard it depends on the credit card company and apple themselves. I guess it's a good estimate of your place in line but I think relying on *:06 and *:07 etc is a little over the top.
To be fair, I have been checking MR and the Apple Store App way too often... I need help. Or my Watch.
It's clearly not an exact science, but it's pretty much all we have. And, orders seem to be moving roughly in order of confirmation e-mail time.
From the other threads it usually means you would receive it the following day if it ships before the afternoon the day before.
...and thats what make this whole thing so bizarre:
My email confirmation is 12:08, AM PST, but people that received order confirmation email way after that time (hence receiving May-June timeline) start receiving the watch, 42MM SS Milanese loop included!
And yes, mine is still in processing mode...
TBH, I am getting less and less excited about the watch after watching the video review, mostly on the lag issue. Eh, it's a good thing I guess.. I am not rabidly checking the order again and again and if I don't like the watch, I'll just sell it for profit.
It's relevant in the general sense. But there is a *large* error factor. Apple doesn't set the time on the confirmation. Your e-mail server does that, and it's influenced by other third party factors as well (i.e. where does it transit?).
I like some of the "bumped up" news I'm reading on this thread, and don't know if it's a long shot, but I want to get a "Preparing for Shipment" notification for my SS Milanese before the 14-day return policy is up on my Aluminum Sport watch.
Update: I got a shipping notification a short while ago. They say it's arriving *tomorrow* ... This is interesting because I **think** that means it's getting shipped from a warehouse in the US (rather than coming directly from China, unlike other orders). I suppose it's possible it'll be on an overnight flight but the timing of it all suggests to me that orders are being doled out differently than when, say, you order a build-to-order machine.
Anyway, it's almost here! Hoping everyone else gets their watches real soon!
