It seemed you used CheckPoints quite a bit. I used to have that app and it's a battery killer, esp. for the constant GPS.

:apple:
I did, yes, but this has been an ongoing issue before I even had that app. I currently have a case open with AppleCare and am probably going to get a device swap. Hopefully that helps.

PhoneArena seems to claim 6 Plus is 18% better than 6 based on screen on time (SOT) usage.

GSMArena gave 6 Plus 79 hrs endurance rating which is 31% better than the 6's 55 hrs which includes screen off time usage like 3G talk time.

I see people proclaim the iPhone 6 to have impressive battery life with their screenshots but where it loses out is standy time and SCREEN OFF TIME usage. And it could very have the best battery life since the iPhone 4. But it drains faster while NOT using the phone or if the screen is OFF as seen with 6's inferior 3G standby/music (250 hrs/50 hrs) vs 6 Plus' (384 hrs/80 hrs).

The iPhone 6 Plus may have received only 1 GB RAM and those Bendgate issues. But better battery life than the 6 is the one of the feathers in its hat.

13.5 hours usage, 2 days 1 hour standby.

Last night I tried to run it to 0%... it was stuck on 2% and then 1% for what seemed like an eternity. And I was watching a movie on Netflix. I would probably be getting even better numbers if I didn't stream Spotify so much.

Not sure if I love the battery or display more on this phone.

I noticed it was at 85% yesterday when I glanced at it. I would estimate I used it for half an hour afterwards and it was still at 85%. Thought there was something wrong with the meter. :)

Trying to run my new iPhone 6 Plus battery down to 1% so I can charge it all the way up for the first time. 12 hours in under heavy use, and I'm still at 16%. That's impressive, especially given the gazillions of notifications I get.

Wait till you use an iPad charger to charge it you will be amazed!

Battery life is unreal, screen size and battery are the main reasons I went for the 6+ over the 6

This is a screener of my 6 Plus. The battery keeps impressing me.

Had to charge up so I could run some errands later or I would have had over 10 hours usage pretty easily. VERY happy with the Plus battery! :D

Never seen anything like this with any previous phone. I'm purposefully not charging my battery to see how far I get. This is moderate usage for me. First day was all LTE. I jumped on Wifi last night updating apps. Back on LTE today. In-frikkin-sane!!

its fine. 75% for 2hr 30 minutes approx of use works out to 10hr battery life total

2hr 30minutes is 25% of 10
100-25% = 75%

25%x4=100%

2hr 30 x 2 = 5hr

x 2 = 10hr

enough math for you to feel secure?

It doesn't seem stand out compared to everyone else's battery in here though that's the issue

----------

And thats with everything even parallax turned off

Why is everyone getting much better then?

Different users get different mileage because of different usage, cell signal strength, screen brightness and a myriad of other things.

You're on pace for 10 hours of use. That's very good. Don't sweat it. ;)

it could be apps you have installed as well.
the other week I decided to remove a ton of apps from my iphone 4 that I haven't used in over 6 months. I removed about 30 apps. Ever since then my battery has been lasting ~50% longer. Most of these apps were just games that didn't even use data/notifications.
My friend iPhone 5 was barely lasting 10 hours with battery, but he had like 300 apps on it. I suggested he try removing all the apps he never uses anymore to see if it would improve it. He removed about 100 apps and got about 30% longer battery life.

Look at that one circle of T-Mobile signal you're getting. If you're constantly in a low signal environment, your battery will degrade more quickly.

Last 24 hours is my typical usage. Couple of days ago after my last full charge, I had it streaming from Twitch for over two hours (not typical).

The battery life is very good.

If you want to extend the health of your battery then don't drain it down very often if possible. Lithium ion batteries love being topped off. Remember, there is no memory with L ion batteries. If you are in your car. Plug it in. If you stop at the office or it's convenient plug it in. The less charge cycles you have the longer the battery will last in the device. 1 charge cycle is a complete discharge from full. Also, the "calibration" of the battery only refers to iOS and the battery meter. Something that really does not need to be done but once every few months or so and does nothing for the battery itself. All it does is make your battery meter slightly more accurate.

Oh really? I thought the less charge the better
