I have been using a 4.7" galaxy s3 when I first got it it was "big" compared to my 3.5" iPhone 4 not the galaxy feels small in my hands so I want to get the plus

I will obviously check them out in store before deciding

I also typically am a two handed user for typing and web browsing so I don't think the size will be too big for me, we shall see

----------

I think some men are simply intimidated by size because they'er not used to seeing what 5.5" looks like in hand....... Others are fine with 7.9" in their hand while still others are used to 9.7" or more.

post of the year right there

I've been using the 4.7" iPhone 6 for 24 hours and I find thats too big. 5 and 5S was the perfect size imo.

The 6+ is a phablet, it not a bloody one handed device!!!!!!!! What is it with Apple fans and using stuff one handed. I use my Nexus 5 two handed most of the time and it only has a 5" screen, im fine with using two hands, With that said the 6+ is an awful design, the huge bezels make it stupidly tall and Apples obsession to make everything thin means it slippery to hold. The LG G3 really puts both the new iPhones to shame when it comes to design.

I don't agree that the 6+ is an awful design - I think it's very sleek. BUT, I do agree entirely that people need to change their expectations when they use these big devices. They're not meant to be used with one hand. Trying to do that is just inviting disaster and a lot of frustration. Either you get used to using it with two hands or you just stick with the iPhone 6.

Did you fail to add in the screen dimensions as well? Here, let me do it for you.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 dimensions: 5.5" 151.2 x 79.2 x 8.3mm, 168g

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 dimensions: 5.7" 153.5 x 78.6 x 8.5 mm, 176g

iPhone 6+ dimensions: 5.7" 158.1 x 77.8 x 7.1mm, 172g

Umm unless I am missing something the iPhone 6+ doesn't have a 5.7" screen. That would be the GN3 and 4. The point of my post was the devices physical dimensions, not screen size.

The plus is .22 inches longer than the Note 3 from top to bottom.

Yup I took one look at the 6+ and said "no way to big" I cancelled my 3 week out "preorder" then and there on the spot and got a 128 gig 6 instead.

I may give that a try. Her name is spelled out in my contacts and I got Siri to pronounce it right, I just think when I am dictating it doesn't realize I am talking about her so it goes to a default.

Another ridiculous thread. The 6+ is the most beautiful iPhone ever made and I've owned them all since the 3G. Hands down. Sure, it's certainly striking when you unbox it, but once you pick it up, put it in your pocket, etc., it's still an iPhone. If anyone thinks this is TOO big, either they have girly hands, wear girly black spandex, or just aren't used to handling anything larger than a woman's compact.

Really? Because I'm typing on my 6+ right now with 1 hand with ease. Guess that shoots down your theory. Have fun with your 6.

Very well put.

I can't believe I almost changed my order to a 6 instead of a 6+.
All the posts saying it's gonna be too big were starting to get to me but now that I have the 6+ in my hand...I'm loving every pixel!

I was shocked how much bigger the 6+ is than my son's LG G3 which has the same size screen.

The 6+ is strikingly big and I believe a lot of people who ordered it sight unseen are going to be disappointed and return it.

Checked out both today at ATT. Was looking to get the PLUS but it looks to big and was heaver than the 6. Held the regular 6 and it felt prefect in my hands.
I suggest everyone try them both before you buy.

People say they can't use the phone one handed. I'm typing this holding the phone one handed. I think I got back and forth using it one and two handed. However, the pros out weighs the cons for me of the larger phone. Battery life and screen are the two most important pieces of a smartphone for me. This covers both. To each their own.

Have to say that the pictures made it seem smaller than what it is. No hiding it... It's a big phone. I'm glad I ordered it, but I can see where some might have reservations.

I don't think height necessarily provides an automatic "yes/no" as to whether the 6 Plus will fit your hand.

I'm 6'1 and I can't fathom using a 6 Plus with one hand. My hands are pretty modestly sized for my height -- holding the phone in my right hand and trying to stretch my right thumb from the bottom up to the upper left-hand corner of the screen to hit Back is pretty much impossible. I could barely do it on my iPhone 5.

6 Plus is for plus sized people.

No joking here. This would be an excellent study once the dust settles.

There is some out there that actually believe that larger phone lovers are more prone to obesity.

Interesting.

One word "Reachability".

I am 5'10" and have been using it most of the night one handed. Granted not for typing post or anything but then again I always typed in landscape on my iP4 and iP5.

----------

.22 inches is a big difference.

Well, if it is too much for you stick with the 4.7" or 5S. Meanwhile, I will enjoy my new iP6+ that I've been using most of the afternoon and evening with out any complaint. Have a nice day.

Interestingly enough, the plus feels better in my hands when I hold it one handed to text. Feels harder to text when I hold it in landscape. The new predictive keyboard helps a LOT for one handed use. Came at a perfect time.

When you are used to handling 8.5" from time to time, handling an iPhone 6+ is not a hard task. I find it fits in my hands just fine- but I have big hands as I'm 6'1 215lbs and do have above average sized hands. I think the iPhone 6+ is suited for bigger men and the iPhone 6 for girls and small, underdeveloped men.

To each his own. Some people like to drive Smart Cars some people like to drive full sized vehicles that don't look like baby shoes.

This could be the dumbest thing I have ever read in the history of the internet. Humanity just shed a tear today.

I'm a woman with tiny hands,I left the iPhone after the 5 and went to android except for my iPad air, can't live without that, the 5 s still had the 4" screen when all other phones were going larger,it was too small.I love big phones it's perfect. You really want to see a big phone check out the Sony Xperia z2 plus or the htc one max now those were some honkers. I preordered 2 iPhones one space gray one silver, didn't know which I wanted kept the space gray and put the silver up on eBay,it sold in 20 min at $400 over what I paid so not bad. I'm a very happy girl right now with my BIG iPhone 6 plus❤️
