I don't find the 6+ being too big. It's actually narrower than my Note 3. I'm not a tall guy but I don't have a problem using big phones. You get used to it and won't ever settle for a smaller screen.

See, a chick rolls up in here, kicks down the MacRumors door, and pulls a ROADHOUSE on all the babies in here complaining the phone is too big.

Seriously, this chick likes it big and is not afraid to admit it. Wink.

The next time a human that is a self-described "man" comes in here complaining the iPhone 6 Plus is too big, show him the exit to Baby Man land.. it's right next to Cry Baby City and 22 miles down the highway to I Wear a Jock Strap Under My Skirt-ville.

Except women have purses with them to lug it around. Unless you're carrying yourself a MAN-ly Purse.

For many active people it's too big. It would be uncomfortable or distracting to use in the gym, almost impossible to run with, and hard to pocket unless you wear baggy jeans or cargo shorts.

I'm sure it's enjoyable to use if you're sedentary or sitting in one spot most of the day. It's when it has to be used on the go that it becomes a problem.

To everyone who got a 6 Plus yesterday and wants to swap it for a 6, how are you going to do this seeing as there's such limited stock? I was debating this yesterday when I got my 6 Plus delivered but the normal 6 has a 3-4 week waiting list on the website. Anyway, just wondering... :)

Another ridiculous thread. The 6+ is the most beautiful iPhone ever made and I've owned them all since the 3G. Hands down. Sure, it's certainly striking when you unbox it, but once you pick it up, put it in your pocket, etc., it's still an iPhone. If anyone thinks this is TOO big, either they have girly hands, wear girly black spandex, or just aren't used to handling anything larger than a woman's compact.

I bet you think white iPhones are for girls too, right? Lord...

I was that guy who made fun of a friend of mine last year who had a Galaxy Note 3 with the typical "Is that an iPad Mini?!" jokes. Well, now I'm having to remove my foot from my mouth, because I actually see the appeal of the size of the device, having received my 6 Plus yesterday.

I never thought I'd be a person who'd really want a phone this size, but so far, I'm really loving it. Even with my 5s and previous iPhones, I tended to two hand type (left thumb, right index), so one-handed usage was never really a concern for me. I played with my friend's 6 (cue jokes here) last night at dinner, and it was actually weird how small it felt in comparison, but it works for him, so there it is.

I knew what I was getting into since I've been using a Note 3 as my work phone. I am very happy with my 6+ and do not regret it one bit. My wife got the 6 and she's happy with it and does not want any part of the 6+. The 6 is a nice size, but I love the functionality of the larger screen.

I feel like a lot of Apple people have no idea what they're getting into with the 6+ and will regret it once they start using it. Just use it for a couple of days and you will get used to it.

I went with the 6 because I didn't like the plus' size either. AT&T personnel told me yesterday they are expecting a good percentage of returns on the plus from pre-orders.

There's no doubt it's a great device and a lot of people will love it. But I am already in love with my 6. They're going to have to go some to beat this one..

What country are you in? In the US, online orders for the 6 are showing a delivery estimate of "ships in 7-10 days." It's the 6 plus that has a 3-4 week shipping date.

I received both phones yesterday, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, and I will admit, when I first took the Plus out of the box, I was thinking I had made a mistake. The 6 is the perfect size for a phone. Feels great in the hand, especially with the Apple leather case, and all the features are easily accessible.

HOWEVER.. I am already in love with my 6 Plus. We went out last night and I was following my kids around while using the 6 Plus with one hand. At first (say the first 15 minutes) I was terrified I was going to drop it. After that, I was perfectly comfortable with it. I prefer to use two hands to text and type so I continued that with the 6 Plus and I can text SO much faster now. The larger type and the extra buttons on the keyboard (period, comma, etc) make it so much better.

I am upgrading from a 4S too, so the jump from 3G to LTE is amazing. I was thrilled with I found my 6 Plus still fits in my car mount, and I turned that baby in landscape and the kids were watching Spongebob in seconds. Everything is easier to access, easier to read, everything is just better. My only complaint (and this has nothing to do with Apple) is that Amazon hasn't yet updated their Kindle app and I can't access my books. I am sure it's on the way though.

Love my 6+, don't love my Spigen case which sets the size over-the-top. I intend to change to a skin as soon as I see a really good one released.

I'm in Berlin, Germany. According to the Apple website, all models are 3-4 week delivery. I imagine if you wanted to return a website order you'd be better off getting a refund and taking your chance in a retail store in the coming days.

I was making a point, genius.

"The G3 and Moto X (2013) are perfect examples of phones that are very manageable for their size.:

Reading comprehension is your friend.

And the 4.7 iPhone 6 is very manageable for its size. What's your point?

My point is that the Moto X is MORE manageable at the same size. My point is that the iPhone 6 didn't need to be as big as it is. My point is that you could have a phone only marginally larger than the 5s with a 4.7" screen. Derp.

I was afraid of this. The 6+ size is awesome, but cases will put it over the top. The thinness of the device is what makes the size manageable. The Apple case is nice but offers little protection.

Oh well, naked + AppleCare...

It needed to be as big as it is because of the scanner.

I have a Moto X, the iPhone 6 is not less manageable for me personally.

I'm not sure that's true. They could have at least trimmed some top bezel.

I'm not bashing the iPhone. I have a 6 Plus coming and I like big phones. But it's ludicrous (and blind fanboyism) to insist that they couldn't have made either of this year's phones smaller with the same screen size.

The plus is .22 inches longer than the Note 3 from top to bottom.

The note shouldn't be compared to any iPhone. It's plastic junk running a operating system comparable to windows vista with a coat of ugly slapped on top. I don't care what the specs are on that phone. It's just a Honda civic with a 100 psi turbo thrown in but still drives like poo. The iPhone is a Ferrari that brings together form, function, beauty, usability, and desirability.

I'm a woman with tiny hands,I left the iPhone after the 5 and went to android except for my iPad air, can't live without that, the 5 s still had the 4" screen when all other phones were going larger,it was too small.I love big phones it's perfect. You really want to see a big phone check out the Sony Xperia z2 plus or the htc one max now those were some honkers. I preordered 2 iPhones one space gray one silver, didn't know which I wanted kept the space gray and put the silver up on eBay,it sold in 20 min at $400 over what I paid so not bad. I'm a very happy girl right now with my BIG iPhone 6 plus❤️

I'm sorry if I offended any women with my post, that wasn't my intention. But your post just goes to show even women have no trouble with the 6+, so if you're a guy and you do, you must have problems.

I bet you think white iPhones are for girls too, right? Lord...

Why would you think that? What does any color have to do with gender? I've always owned white iPhones btw. That said, saying men have bigger hands then women is not a generalization.

Been using the plus all day. Have both. Not sure but I think I may prefer the 6. One'll have to go back.

I played with the 6 plus in the store and compared it to my galaxy note 3 - and decided it was too big for me. the 6 is in the Goldilocks zone.

FWIW, I have owned every model of iPhone and about 9 different Android phones of different makes and models and I can say with no reservation that the iPhone 6 Plus is the by far the best phone that I have owned! Now, it won't be the perfect device for everyone, and actually nothing is perfect, but it is exactly what I have been looking for. I used to carry an iPhone 5S and an iPad Mini Retina, but I am now able to replace both devices with this new iPhone. Apple has finally released the device that I have been waiting for!

I've owned every iPhone as well; I went with the 6 because I commute by train and need to be able to use the phone one-handed. I have an LTE rMini as well, so I use that when I'm actually able to snag a seat.

Anyway, I'm thinking next year I'll dump the rMini and the 6, and just get a 6S+ or whatever. Kill two birds with one stone, like you said.
