It's NOT an indexing issue. New phones fresh out of the box as new do this. Not anything to index.

I would say that the issue could be any of a million things, but I would be wrong because there are probably 10 million things that it could actually be.What do you think is the issue then ? Let's hear it
I've been having issues on my iPad Air2 since IOS9. Freezing up. A lot.I very much doubt that a corrupted backup would cause occasional lag and freezing. It sounds like an iOS9 or dare I say it 6S+ problem. Bear in mind that many failed to see any issue with the 6+ so take those who claim buttery smoothness with a pinch of salt. The 6+ had major problems, period.

Never buy a "day one" product. phones/tablets/video games or consoles/ even cars. just wait a month or so. unless you are dying to be one of the first owners. I hope your problems resolve I know how frustrating it is when you buy a new thing and turned out to be bad.
It cant be an iOS or indexing error otherwise my 6 Plus would be showing the problem. So if I get this right ~ if I do the encrypted restore on my current 6 Plus everything is fine (I know it is as I did it only yesterday).
However, if I place that same encrypted restore on my 6s Plus when it arrives there then could be an issue with lag/freezes etc.
Surely this can't be an iOS 9 issue but points more towards the new phones?
Gotcha, so 10 billion different things then. It's not hardware but software

Process of elimination points to a feature on the new 6s & 6s Plus that clearly is at odds with the current iOS.
It will be interesting to see how long if any Apple deem it enough to look into.
Actually it's only at the login screen for nearly all so maybe only a couple of thingsGotcha, so 10 billion different things then.
Maybe but launch day is always filled with some errors that will be fixed later. so buy laterIt's not the product is unusable. Once the 3 seconds are over. The issue is gone for most. Hyperbole much ?
The fact that it goes away for most users deems this an indexing issue
The fact that restore makes it go away deems this a software issue
The fact that it is not affecting majority 6s users deems this not a hardware issue
The fact that the lag for 99% of cases is an animation lock at the end of the Touch ID login as opposed to opening every app deems this a login software issue
Going by all those facts this is an issue with iOS 9 . If it was a hardware 6s issue it would be happening to everyone
How hard is it to understand that hardware issues don't happen to some, that only happens when something is happening in software
I am gonna present my case regarding my case of unlock lag issue
- issue occurs randomly when phone is left idle for a period of time
1. I am on a 6s 64GB, upgraded from 9 to 9.0.1 and restored a backup from iphone 6
2. restarted the phone, reset all settings, reset network settings. disabled 3D Touch and issue PERSISTS on 9.0.1
I got my phone a day ago and NO its NOT indexing!!! After unlock, the phone runs buttery smooth
How i fixed it..
1. Upgraded to ios 9.1 beta 2 public release. that solved ALL of the lag. tested it multiple times, ran dozens of apps in the background. No unlocking lag
Those that are getting cheesed off, just install it here https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/
And NO, phones don't take 24hrs to index and waiting for a top notch phone to finish indexing is plain ridiculous!
I'd love to try it and so far I think you have been lucky but I'm positive one or two people on here said they tried the beta and it worked fine at first then started doing it again too. I'm tempted ti give it a shot myself just to see first hand but I'm pretty positive someone said they tired this and it eventually went back to doing it on 9.1
i will continue to monitor this. i tested it over at least 3 hours, unlocking the phone every 15 minutes.
i am sick of those that keep saying that the phone is indexing. don't you think its ridiculous?
i gonna believe its indexing for the first hour, after that dust settles in. no phone indexes for 12 hrs!
Agree! Thanks for testing it out man. If you report back in a couple more hours that you have no more issues then im all for trying the beta. Thanks gardiboy!
