Having the same issue. No lag, but unlocking the phone, the status bar disappears for about 2 seconds and then comes back. I can't do anything on the phone until the status bar comes back. I tried iOS 9.1 beta 2 and the issue still there. I have restore the phone many times and still does it. I have a 6s Plus. I hope there is a fix coming out soon.

Geekbench scores also reflecting this slowdown. Core speeds and frequency are much lower than they should be. I'm beginning to think it's a hardware issue instead. Can anyone else post geekbench scores?

Hardware issue with yours maybe...not sure why your device is running at 434 MHz...shouldn't be.

I did that last night. So far no freezing but I haven't really used it much today. My battery life isn't anything near what my 6 was. I'm hoping perhaps it just needs some settling in?

YES. It's fine now 24 hours plus after I ran it down to 0%. I tested it first thing this morning and a few more times and it's been fine. Interesting that so many people have been able to resolve it in so many different way. Yes, I'm not thrilled about the battery life. I was hoping for 12 or so with the 6S+ but only managed 10.5 after about 3 full charge cycles. I'm sad Apple shrank the battery. Enough with all the thinness. I'd wait until at least 10+ charge cycles to really judge the battery life.

The low geek bench scores seem to be from low power mode. Remember from what I heard you enable or disable manually but does it not come on automatically when battery reaches certain percentage?

Either that or there was many apps loaded in background running during benchmark.

Apple cant code sht, Craig Federighi should be fired

My phone is freezing on each unlock wtf??

I'm not understanding all these battery life issues. My 6S+ battery life is every bit as good as my old 6+ ever was and actually beats it, presumably because my 6+ was almost a year old. There must be something amiss somewhere, either to do with a backup or settings.

My unlock lag finally did disappear after a couple days. Mines been totally smooth the last few days.

Just wanted to add to this thread that I'm also getting the lag/touchscreen unresponsive/pausing issue. iPhone 6s+ 64GB ATT started from new, actually the phone has never been attached to a computer even once yet.

Additionally, I've had an issue when scrolling down through the app store, the screen stutters up and down real bad. Also, on the home screen, I've noticed the apps stuttering left-right instead of smoothly moving if I slowly swipe to another homescreen page.

I'm hoping this is a software issue, but my girlfriend got her phone at the exact same time as me (and, according to the serial number checking site, ours were made in the same factory during the same production week) and she claims it never slows down or becomes unresponsive on her.

Meh, I disabled Spotlight Search on my iPhone 5 because it slowed it down, but this shouldn't be this bad given they've had this feature for a while now and this is their fastest phone yet - Apple wouldn't seriously add a feature that is liable to significantly slow down even their fastest phone, would they?

If anyone is having LAg or issues, I personally also believe it's not due to the chip information we do know, it's due to IOS9 and its problems.

Have a new mini 4 and there are issues in apps and IOS9 B340 that are not present on IOS 8.4.1 on my mini 2 and IOS 8.2 on my Air 1. They have less ram and older cpu/gpu yet most apps I use were developed and optimized for IOS 8 and work smoothly with no bugs, glitches, hitching or lag which includes games and productivity apps.

Same apps on newer hardware which is faster with more ram, these games and productivity apps are lagging off and on, hitching (stuttering frame rates during animations and transitions) and we got the delay from touch clicking them to load and then loading slower itself. Also the CC, task switcher, pull down thing i.e. And spotlight search always lags off and on if its already in ram loaded or not.

None of these issues in IOS 8, every time I do a full charge from shutoff dead mode on my mini 4, after I get it to 100 percent and let it charge a little more, I do a shut off and restart, and then you can really see the IOS 9 issues after it reboots into the homescreen while it starts everything in a fresh state.

Once again IOS 8 does not do this. I know it's frustrating and troublesome but all we can do is wait for Apple to sprinkle some ferry dust on the software, release updates and let the OS and apps mature. Hopefully one day it will be smooth sailing again in calm waters on a nice spring day.

Yeah, in several months' time...and then the whole buggy cycle will start again with iOS10:D

For the record, zero lag with my 6S+. Are you guys sure that you didn't buy a 6+ by mistake?:p

9.0.2 is it. Let see if that helps those with issues. Mine was laggy the first 24 hours but has been super fast. Since many of us are seeing improvements I am sure its not the cpu lol. Its clearly software.

To everyone who says their unlock lag was present and has now disappeared, are you still seeing the status bar disappear but come back immediately? I had the unlock lag too; it's gone but the status bar still disappears.
Mine does it also 6S plus 128 AT&T.
But I've also noticed it on my old 6 plus also.

My 6s+ lag/freezes often enough that I bothers me. Usually as soon as I unlock the phone, I have to wait before swiping screens. Today my screen froze and I had to back out of everything and start over. Last night I was trying to press icons on a webpage and it wouldn't do anything. On another 6s I purchased for someone, everything ran just fine. I don't know, but it is a little cumbersome seeing that we have spent all this money and the phone lags like this to the point everyone(for the most part it seems) is having issues.

Sometimes nothing is responsive. Literally can't click a thing. This is a serious issue.

i have this problem, sometimes nothing is clickable and i have to turn the phone on and off or just toggle the sleep/wake switch

No status bar lag.

Try disable iCloud Drive and Siri Suggestions.

You really shouldn't have to disable anything. Mine works fine with everything turned on.

You can turn them back on... the bug probably has to do with a process not working properly and resolved through toggling. I don't use Google Drive so I just left my Google Drive off but I have Siri Suggestions back on.

No lag here at all on my 6s+. Hasn't lagged since I got it on launch day. Love it so far. Updated it to 9.1 beta 3 today and it's still performing amazingly. Battery life is also lasting me through the day easily. I've had to TRY to kill it by the end of the day. Best phone I've ever used and I'm coming from the 6 which was nowhere near as smooth as my 6s+ is.
