iPhone 6S Plus - 128GB - Touch ID - Status Bar Lag, Exchanged handset 13/10/15
via @youtube
You exchanged your iPhone for that? It's obviously a software issue. It happens on my 6S Plus too, you must be stupid to exchange it for that.

My 6S lagged a lot every time I unlocked it, but the more I use it, the less it's happening.

Thats the replacement, the phone should not do that, have you seen

Received my 6S+ 128G yesterday and the setup was a nightmare.
Unlocking with freeze/lag, froze on the most comon task.
Had one fingerprint.

So i deleted the finger, made a hard reset and let it stay through the night without instaling nothing and touchid disabled.
Wasn't recharging. Woke up with 50% battery.

So after this, i registered 4 fingerprints.
And until now, almost 4 hours the phone is behaving properly. No slowdown/freeze/lag.

iOS 9.0.2.

Haven't noticed any freezing or lagging. Just some minor gfx glitches like the fact that the clock/battery bar disappears during animated transitions e.g. going from lock screen to home screen, and that home screen folders are black for a split second after swiping from search back to home screen. None of my other iOS devices do either of these things.
Not broken, but definitely a tad half baked.

That is the exact lag everyone is talking about here. When going from lock screen to home screen the battery, clock and carrier bars appear 1-2 seconds later. During that time screen is unresponsive and whatever you press would not work until that bar comes back.

My old 6 plus 128 with AT&T does the same thing 1-2 second delay. Received new 6s+64 sim free and 6s+64 with Verizon and same 1-2 second delay with Touch ID with both phones. Without Touch ID they open up smooth no delay. So this has been going on since last year. Don't think a lot of people realized it with last years phone it was happening.
I ain't going to worry about it. Nothing we can do.

Side note......Hey is anybody experiencing problems with auto/manual iCloud backup with there new phones? Have Verizon 6s+ for wife and it takes forever to backup and when it's almost done it says couldn't finish backup. But with my AT&T 6s+ it backs up right away.
With Verizon iPhone I reset it cleaned it erased old backups and still nothing won't backup current backups. Just wanted to see if anybody else is experiencing this with a Verizon account.

I had the same exact 6 plus model updated to iOS 9 before upgrading. Didn't have the lag problem with that device. Just the 6s plus.

I don't know I'm lost with these small issues.
But I do know for the money we spent on these devices they should work flawlessly not even a burp. But I guess will have to wait and see if iPhone 7 and iOS 10 fix the problems. It's only 11 months away.
If only Steve were around?
He'd probably have us on 3 1/2 inch screens still with rose gold.....LOL

Lol yeah. You're correct about the money we spend on a device you expect certain things. Not wait, and wait for fixes. ¯\(°_o)/¯

The only lag I experience on my 6s+ is the jerky animation when going into the app switcher.

Only way I think to fix it if they slow down the Touch ID. Opens phone to fast. Cpu or whatever doesn't have time to catch up.

Maybe not to slow it down, but properly correspond to the hardware so it wakes up faster...

Yep, add me to the list. I've had maybe 5 iPhone 6S models now due to terrible screen quality, yellowing, darker section in top left corner, Apple logo on back heavily recessed, etc, and they all exhibited lag.
This latest one requires a longer press of the power button to power on. Very odd.

I've had my new 6S for about 36 hours and am getting the lag sometimes when unlocking. Sometimes have to wait for almost 2 second for the title bar to show up. Otherwise its right away. Clearly a software bug I just don't know what the culprit is. Im on 9.1 B5

Are people having this lag with other phones besides the 128GB? All the ones I've seen here tend to be the 128. I wonder if its having trouble managing the memory or something?

Same issue with me 6S+ 64gb sim free use it on ATT and have one also for Verizon 64gb. But it doesn't do it when you use a pass code only happens when Touch ID is enabled.

I may try the reset all settings next. What exactly does that reset?

Edit: looks like that may reset all my notifications for each application? Also will I have to go through the entire apple watch repairing again.
