People that are getting good replacements, lets hear the production weeks you are getting. Mine is week 38.

Ha I was just coming here to post about this. My new 6S vs the 6 has a very different display hue. Is there a solution? will swapping it out at apple make a difference.?

You can always try playing the exchange lottery but know that when you do, you might get something that may be worse then the one you have.

I'm also noticing the sound on the phone is not as nice as my 6. I watch netflix a lot and my daughter noticed it right away. The casing is slightly thicker on the 6s and the sound quality has dropped?

Finally got an OK screen but guess what cpu it is...
I can't play this game anymore, I'm very disappointed by apple. This company doesn't equal quality anymore to me.

how many phones did you cycle through?

I don't count anymore 6 may be, some had scratches and apple employee replaced them without questions.

Customer service is good but it's not fun to deal with so many defects and lose 2hours in shop. Anyway this year instead of enjoying my phone I'm here reading threads about screen defects and chipgate this is ridiculous :)

I got a week 36. I think this is the earliest I've had.

Think it was 37 and 38 before that.

Previous was TSMC this one is too. Not sure about original didn't have the app to make it happen
I now have a week 32 perfectly white screen tsmc, must say, after the few days i spent with the week 36 yellow screen, it grew on me a bit, the yellow screen is easier on the eyes when reading in the dark, both phones are same spec, same chip same factory C7 just 4 weeks apart and diff colur screen. I will post a pic later.

Just bought yesterday iPhone 6S 64GB, week 39. Perfect screen, no yellow tint.

Not even a single darker area near top left ? It's very visible on white background and even more fullscreen with apps like dead spotter. There is hope then to have a good one :)

No every 6s has something wrong with it. One of mine did but this one looks pretty good to me.

My 6S+ has a warmer hue than the 6S I returned, but I don't mind. It's mostly apparent at lower brightness - 50% and above and the whites get cooler. This display gets much brighter than my 5C or Air2, so thumbs up for that!

blue is week 32 C7 factory c7 6s 128 GB TSMC

Been using them side by side all day, the yellow is growing on me, easier on the eyes in the dark, pictures look brighter, but white background webpages look better on the blue.

Apple needs to put settings adjustment on their phone screens This way everybody would be happy.
The Macs have them so why not the iPhones

Just compared a nexus 6 and the yellow 6s using full brightness on the MR home page and the nexus waaaaaaay more yellow than the iphone. I used to think the yellow screen is a defect, i dont think i do anymore.

Keep thinking that the next time someone shows you something on their crisp, white iPhone screen. :D

May be because it's amoled tech ? always hated amoled screen because white pages always seemed to be yellow to me.

As you mention an android phone, I went to compare few of them just to be sure i wasnt to picky with this backlight issues on iphone and all displays were perfect, LG g4 was my favorite.

I'm lost now terribly disappointed by this year iphone was supposed to be awesome with 2gb of ram and instead we have a chipgate, and backlight gate.

Yes I'm aware that some people would like to exchange my worries with their :)

AFAIK there is nothing about AMOLED that makes it yellow. It's all how the display is calibrated and this can vary from unit to unit. I've got a Galaxy S4 and a brand new Sony Z5 Compact here and comparing them side by side the S4 is really yellow and the Z5 has a slight blue tint. Before this comparison I had not noticed the issue on the S4 for the last 2.5 years but can now clearly see it. Sony's version of Android has a display white balance adjustment setting that can be easily used to correct the display tint. I downloaded a software for that to my S4 and fixed it there as well.

This is really something I would love to see on all phones as it would allow the user to fix the problem or alternatively adjust the tint if they prefer a more yellowish tone that can be easier on the eyes. While displays should come perfectly calibrated from the factory this doesn't seem to always happen so allowing the user to correct it themselves would be welcome. Now people will be replacing their phones trying to get the perfect sample.
