Exactly the same colour temp, ie slightly cool, but it doesn't do that annoying switch to a washed out smokey yellow in dim lighting.
The screen is cured in that regard. I just knew it was faulty!
I'll take a photo later...

I had this with my replacements. All was good for the first day or two and then the same colour temp shifting in different lighting returned.

Edit: Typo

Retail or bar replacements ?

I think my current one is best too, most uniform potentially too.

First two had yellow blotches in upper left. And some bookspine going on the first.

All retail replacements within the 14 day return period. All displayed the same characteristics as I outlined in my previous post.

First was the worse. Second was a better but still intolerable for me. Third one is better still. Uniform backlight but still has this colour temp shifting in different ambient lighting.

I've looked at 12 Apple Store demo phones and all bar 1 exhibited this.

It seems to be par for the course for the 6S Plus at the moment.

Well I hope my new one doesn't start doing it because I've just swapped a perfect (other than this fault) TSMC phone for the Samsung chipped variety which I haven't in any way put through its paces yet...
So a voyage into the unknown begins, albeit with a seemingly good screen.:D

Setup another exchange with Apple Support, fingers crossed! Hate this dam screen lottery....

Apple needs to improve its Quality Control as every customer expects a perfect iPhone. And for the price we're paying we should get it

Let's see the replacement you got!

Warmer/ cooler than the last?
I've taken photos with the screen very dim and in low light, the old phone would have looked awful in this lighting.

Indeed. They all have faults but this is one of the better ones.

They all have slightly darker edges, a dark corner or the right hand side being slightly bluer than the left.

I see all three in these screenshots. It's very mild however so this should be a keeper.

My 3rd replacement is like this and it's a good phone.

Well done Sunking101, hope you enjoy

The top left corner of my display is darker :/ I didn't notice it until I read this thread...and now I can't unsee it anymore.. Should I take this to replacement now or next year.. (The apple service centre is very far from me tho)

Mine looks almost exactly the same.

The color temperature however is fine in reality (looks a bit strange in that photo). My old 5s had a yellow tint in comparison to this 6s.

If this were my first device, i would exchange it in the next days. But actually, this is already my third 6s - the first 2 had to be exchanged due to other issues with the home button or the screen. Unfortunately, these replaced 6s both had a better screen uniformity than my most recent 6s, which in turn is flawless in all other regards. I really try to not be ocd about this, but these issues are real... What happend to apples quality control?

First two iPhones had a yellow screen. My third had a good white point but dark spot in the top left corner. Waiting for my 4th iPhone now!

Ugh I'm debating whether or not I should swap my 3rd 6s+ for a little earpiece rattle in situations when I don't have it wedged against my ear/ but not on all calls.

I dunno that I wanna waste another hour for a gamble of a device. I mostly use earbuds to chat anyways and don't use the phone if I don't have to haha

1st yellow blotch upper left or I would have kept

2nd yellow blotch as well and screen looked more uneven/ less bright / more sensitive to different lights, it also didn't have the headphone jack snap into the port in place it was a loose fit.

This one mostly looks good with color profiles fairly warm without it but the earpiece thing. Can never win.

Still jealous of how pure sunking's screen looks

You really can't.

My first 3 iPhone 6S went like this

Number 1- my headphones fell out of the phone for some reason
number 2-the phone just kept restarting
number 3-the vibrate stopped working completely

I gave up on ATT and got a sim free one. Finally got a TSMC chip which I've noticed better battery life than my prev 3 samsung phones. Best screen, vibrate and headphone jack but the home button is loose. Not gonna exchange it, done with going to that dumb apple store lol.

Haha for the better probably.

Considering I have to have jailbreak if it's an option the window is still open on 9.0.2 but we're talking an hour at the store then another setting up my JB stuff.

Next year I'm buying two and keeping the better one unless the first time I nail it.

That's another thing this phone is tsmc and I'm not sure I buy all the hype but not sure I wanna be testing it out my first 6s+ battery life was sorta meh never knew what chip it had but that's probably yet another gamble even manufacturer aside is just battery longevity.

Yeah and rejailbreaking and restoring is incredibly annoying. Add the gas we waste keep going back to the apple store and suddenly the phone becomes 1000$ + (well for me since my car gets 15 mph lol)

I did buy 2 phones this time and returned phone btw.

dang that sucks.

I'm so relieved I didn't go through iPad hell like ipad3. Never again. Never.

My air2 nailed it first time , happy (enough)

same here. My iPad mini 4 has a very good screen (nothing is perfect imo) and the home button is awesome, not loose. Ive never seen any iPads with loose home button but many iPhones with loose buttons.

Just my luck. What are you gonna do?

I feel bad for anyone.

Perfect s people will just be trading up in a year

Non perfect have to deal or go to swap hell where there's no return satisfaction wise or deal for a while. It's a ridiculous endeavor.

But I will be buying multiple iPhones next year and only pluck if not happy.

Shame on apple.

I've got a new 6s. The color is much warmer than my 6, but the screen is even, and it's got the non-samsung chip, so I'd like to keep it. I can deal with the warmer hue, but I swear sometimes in low light, it gets really yellow. Like the entire display changes. Right now, it's looking just fine, but last night I checked email in a darker room and it was way more yellow than now. I played with the light adjustment slider, it just became a brighter yellow. 95% of the time it is fine, but in some low light situations, it looks totally different. I held it up agains something white and it was super noticeable. If I do it right now, it's not bad at all, so I am sure if i take it into the super bright Apple store, it will look just fine.

So is there something changing in very low light that is making it do this? It's weird.
