He didn't use an app, it's a stock phone and his photos are demonstrating how the screen changes colour temperature depending on the ambient lighting where he is at the time.Wich app did you did that screen color?

So in the interest of an easy comparison, here's my phone under fluorescent light (left) and incandescent light (right). Same phone, same App, different ambient lighting.
As you can see, there is a big colour temperature difference on the screen. I suspect this is perfectly normal but for those that didn't understand, now you know.
With a pure black image I cant see any problems.
So here are two new images. As you can see the left side of the screen has a warmer color temperature.
It really annoys me every time I look to it.
On the second image I cut the right side and paste it on the left so you can see it better.
What do you think I should do. Thank you

So I *MAY* have found a solution. I've just set it up. I've not yet been able to see if the ambient lighting thing kicks in and screws it all up, I'll report back. But so far I was able to get my screen back to a whiter tone that I like.
You MUST have a mac for this. I don't think I can help much if you get errors, as I just followed this video. I did have an error about icon size, but it did eventually install the app on my phone, which is running 9.1. Someone else may have linked to this earlier, and if so, thanks.

Once you get it installed, go to the COLOR option. What I did was set my sliders like so. I imagine it will change based on your existing screen temp and your personal likes.
Red - 9.39
Green 9.39
Blue 10.00
The key is to keep the Red and green the same. Try different numbers for your own tastes. The sliders are really finicky however. This has taken the yellow tint off my phone. Will it stick when the temp changes? Who knows. But it's a start.
It ain't the glue that's for sure. No one wants a yellow screen b/c white then becomes yellow! We all know what white should look like. The yellow being presented on these screens is absolutely not a kind of yellow. It's straight up not white. It's luck of the draw.I doubt this will go away... I mean it's not that ugly and mostly notable in side by side comparison... But as always... It's hard for me to accept this... I like the blue one better..
I don't know why they use two different display types
very strange but I've noticed this too with the F serial numbersYou have a serial # starting with "F". These tend to have more yellow screens. You want a D or a C. The "F" serial #s all come from the same factory. Don't know why but I've noticed the F screens all are way more yellow. I'd just simply return it and rebuy. It's not your imagination.
You cant use now the application. Because the app is going offline.
Hey guys, I'm new of the topic and I found the yellow tint "issue" on my iPhone 6s space gray 64 Gb storage. My serial number starts with F, hence with the letter that somebody supposes to be related to the warm screens. Maybe this rule is true. Can we check empirically putting hear our reply?
Thanks
I can't tell in the first image and in the second image it looks like you took the photos in different lighting conditions. I believe you though, and I highly recommend you return your phone if the tints are even. That is unacceptable.
Here you are. Please let me know what you think and your first letter of the serial number. Can you post a pic or two?
There is another pic where you can see it better. I went to the store where I bought it and they don't accept returns. They said that they will send it back to apple to check if there is really a problem and I need to wait almost one month!
They said that Apple doesn't allow them to make returns!
What should I do?
Here is the pic

But what about the screen temperature? I mean, is it more bluish or yellowish? Also mine (see pic above) is quite uniform but the screen is warmer than my iPad and my previous iPhone.Hmm, for what it's worth, my first 6S had a serial starting with F and it had an uneven screen where the top half was way darker than the rest. My new, second 6S has a serial number that starts with a D and has a glorious, uniform, perfect screen. I never thought I would get one of these unicorns in the apple lottery. They do exist.
there is nothing wrong with your phone. do you stare at a blank screen or do you use apps that have various colours and stuff?
you're looking for issues that are non-existant.
holy **** this forum is frustrating.
What? First of all calm down, and if the forum is that frustating for you, why don't you just leave? More free space for people that really want to help.
How can you say that i'm looking for issues that are non existant? Did you read my post? You should know that this image is pure white.. like email app.. message app.. reminders.. notes.. and lots of other apps that everyone uses a lot

Here is also a comparison with my previous 4s. No doubts that in terms of screen temperature my old iPhone is more accurate.
All in all the real problem for me is not the screen color but the principle of the lottery. If I pay (even more considering the price), I should have the opportunity to choose or modify the display color. For the rest, pretty happy with my device.
