That looks really good from the photos! Could you perhaps try a test for me? If so, here's what you should do:
1. Get an image of pure black from Google, etc.
2. Load this image in the Photos app or your preferred viewfinder.
3. Set your display to max brightness and make sure that only the black screen is visible.
4. Look for any obvious spots that are brighter than other areas.
• My 6s had really bad patches that almost looked yellow near the top right.
Thank you for those photos!
Ok, did the test you requested with the an all black background. As you can see, there's no discoloration or yellow edge on this phone. No patches as well. I hope this helps. There's phones out there with nice screens but it really is about luck. It shouldn't have to be like that though.

Care to explain further?
All of my 6S+ displays change from blue to yellow depending on the ambient lighting. Sometimes they are very blue (way too cool) and at other times a dull, washed out affair.
So if I used an fLux-type program it would be no good in the long run.

Ok, I thought maybe I was the only one that saw this. I swear, when I'm indoors my screen leans towards being way more blue, when I'm outdoors and it's sunny it tends to be yellow and the same when it's cloudy. Other than observation, I wish some one could find code in iOS to support or deny this.
I've also noticed that time of day seems to be a factor. I've never mentioned this before because I've not seen it metioned and knew it would be met with skepticism and I can't prove it.
I don't know if it's so much of an issue as it is an intended feature. It's absolutely software driven. However if your display is uneven then that's hardware. Have you tried reducing the white point? It's definitely as issue. At times my screen is so blue that it's highly fatiguing to look at.
My display isn't uneven. Why would they program the screens to be bright and blue late at night? That's exactly the time you want a dimmer, warm tint.I don't know if it's so much of an issue as it is an intended feature. It's absolutely software driven. Your screen is absolutely fine. Enjoy your new iPhone and don't even give it a second thought!Hello, my first post here on the macrumors forum.
Here are two pics of mine. I would like to know if you think it's uneven or have any kind of tint.

Thank you!
Edit: Maybe the notes are not the best place to take a photo since its background isnt pure white, but i think you can have an idea.
Its not software changing the screen temperature, its the ambient lighting. My screen goes 'bluer' in fluorescent lighting and warmer in incandescent lighting.

So you're saying ambient light magically calibrates my screen temperature without software code when the sensor is triggered or that perception of color temperature perceived by the human eye is different depending on color of ambient light?
No. Your screen isn't dynamically colour calibrated on the fly.
For some reason, ambient light seems to change the colour of light given off by the screen. It's not unfeasible. Look up White Balance in the context of photography. Similar principle.
Maybe the defuser in the screen reflects part of the ambient light back to the user????
That looks normal to me.Just to provide an example of what I'm talking about, here's a photo of my screen I've just taken. This is on a London Underground train with fluorescent lighting. Look how Blue the screen is! It's not like this under different lighting. Sometimes it looks grey!
I'll share another shot of the same phone under incandescent lighting when I get home. View attachment 599499

It's hard to tell from photos. I suggest downloading an image of pure black and view that image at max brightness in a dark room. You can easily spot any uneven patches that way. Good luck!
Wich app did you did that screen color? So in the interest of an easy comparison, here's my phone under fluorescent light (left) and incandescent light (right). Same phone, same App, different ambient lighting.
As you can see, there is a big colour temperature difference on the screen. I suspect this is perfectly normal but for those that didn't understand, now you know.
