9.7-inch iPad Pro and iPhone SE Both Have 2GB RAM

Semantics aside - at $599 it's not far off a real laptop/ultrabook - wouldn't have thought loading 20 tabs is such a challenge; without the 3-4GB RAM - I just have hesitation to think of the 9.7 Pro as anything more than a consumption device that's all.
Oh boy. No 3D touch, still using an iOS software on the device aimed for PRO's, and only giving these iPads 2GB, as opposed to the 4GB, for PRO's.

Now is the time I wish I had small fingers. The price and specs are good, can't make it on a 4" phone though.

I do have small fingers so this is a tough decision for me!! The design on the SE is brilliant too.
IOS devices don't have swap memory like Windows, so you do have to code your apps differently on iOS for 4gb vs 2gb devices. This just fragmented iOS hardware and app developers will just develop to the lowest common denominator, limiting pro apps to 2gb ram.

I am not supposed to say anything that may be seen as trollish. But I really want to know why people stick with this company when their specs are so sub par. Just locked into the eco-system? Love the design? I don't get it. Anyways, I've almost sold all my apple products. I'd let the door hit me on the way out but the new doors from apple only have 1 hinge and are 50% slower than normal doors so I should be able to avoid that.
I can understand that. I am glad there is another choice. If I had small fingers I would consider it a viable choice, however I have thick fingers and have problems with 5.7" phones. Seriously. Sometimes I think 6 or larger would be better for me. Rhumatoid Arthritis doesn't help either.

The difference here is the lack of swap file anyway. I wonder if with the flash interface improvements on A9 devices, Apple couldn't try out just a smidgen of a virtual memory swap file, or just implement it for Safari for the tab-complainers (would slow things down when it was needed, though)."Their specs"? Some of the stuff I will stay with. I got rid of my iphone and went to the moto x pure. I like it a lot better, in a phone I like android. Will look if I want to go 6s plus after the 7 comes out. Right now I love android for my phone and it runs excellent. I didn't care for marshmallow so went back to lollipop as I like it a lot better.
Ipad. I went to an nvidia shield for a while and I don't think android tablets are ready. Back on the ipad. Might consider windows in the future but when it comes to tablet right now it's hard to bet an ipad, well at least the air 2 and mini 4. I might also consider a chromebook as an ipad replacement.
OSX. I like the ui of osx a lot and I like running both systems, osx and windows 10, but don't know what the future will bring. Hopefully it will be a couple of years before I decide and apple will change directions.
So while I am kind of straddling the brands nothing is cut and dried.

Question: in a blind-test with everything but the screen covered up - would most people be able to tell the difference between A9x w/ 2GB RAM, and A8x w/ 2GB RAM?
Multicore score wise A8x isn't far off A9x due to the tri-core config; okay the single core performance is different and file /RAM performance difference will be probably noticeable.

Why get so upset over people making choices of what to do with their money?
I wouldn't hold my breath, some take everything said about apple personal. They consider forums like this for only cheerleading. I will never understand it.
