i contacted apple, they said theyll write them so that uk mail can advise them, but that it would probably take 24hrs to hear back.

uk mail both depot and normal phone were, like this morning, extremely rude and refused to help and werent even sorry. i even told the lady the name of the driver and that apple had advised me to contact them.

To be honest the problem has come from Apple cancelling. As I said I guarantee they told you they couldn't cancell it, but in the background the system has. Thus causing this network of chaos.

I'm surprised your getting that kind of response, most carriers need to find out what's happening otherwise a charge put in place.

Well actually UKMail, DPD & UPS are some of the best.

Yodel, Hermes and HDNL are some of the worst.

DPD are great yes but UK mail we get 3 or 4 complaints a week about items not turning up and we only send about 15 a week!

yeah, it stems from the cancellation. i wouldve been fine with it, if apple hadnt told me that even though i didnt want to cancel anymore theyd send it out. so, to track all morning and then right before it was my turn, to see that it has been cancelled was a bit meh.
i got an email from, i assume, someone with a bit more of power from apple, who told me he spoke to uk mail and that they will now deliver tomorrow. do i believe it? yeah, not really. it's just too big of a mess for both of them i guess.

nope no cancellation request, same thing happened to my apple pencil on tuesday and i still haven't received that

I ordered from the app, I wonder why normal tracking doesn't bring up the map?

Edit: found the message, such an idiot! And I have a MAP! Okay that is quite nice being able to see Keith on his journey! No clue why the normal tracking doesn't show this?! Sad news is he's on delivery 48 and I'm 108, it was better when I didn't know the cold hard truth :p

They should do if Apple have got there system straight there side, UKmail driver will take the parcel back to the depot,s can in it, then it gets flagged to delivery tomorrow. Then the process starts again.

OMG the iPad is awesome with the pencil and Notability app, this is what I bought this for :)

Notability and the pencil will make or break the iPad for me, but it sound like you are impressed! :) How is palm rejection? And is it easy to organise notes in multiple "folders" or whatever it's called in Notability...

No issues yet with palm rejection.

I've not had to do any organising yet, so have no idea how good/bad it is :)

I have to agree with this. 4 people and not a single one was helpful or in any way friendly. i get it, working in a call centre is probably no fun, esp. when rude customers call (im always friendly though), but if you cant be human..go somewhere else.
the guy i spoke to at apple via email has passed on my feelings about the people at uk mail and he will actually talk to one of the managers so that it doesnt happen again in the future.

...it will probably happen again, but it was nice of the guy at apple to be helpful and understanding. anyways, im hoping for a delivery for tomorrow now, two requests have been put in by apple to stop the cancellation.

fingers crossed for you as well. its not nice, when youre looking forward to something and then it doesnt happen.

I have two Rose Gold here, both the same as your picture.

I wonder if that's supposed to be like that? On the Apple website they clearly are colour matched, but then would andodizing the connector would prevent electrical connections?
