ukmail have said for the last 3 days that they have rung my buzzer and i've not been in which isn't the case as i've waited for 3 days inside for my apple pencil and now iPad pro. called them up and the woman was rude to me insisting that it was not even conceivable that the driver was going to the wrong flat block. I actually can't believe how bad they are and the depot is an hour by bus away
The WORST and i'm originally from germany, where we have no idea of good customer service.
Years ago apple used UPS and DPD for me, having to deal with UK MAIL really is the worst that can happen. I knew when i saw the reviews that this was bad news. Hopefully you'll get your items soon!
Just had to catch up on about 5 pages of this thread! 
So happy for everyone with their iPads! If yours isn't with you yet - hopefully very soon! My window was 12:31-13:31 and it's arrived! I can't open yet though as I have a busy afternoon - It'll be opened the second I step foot inside the door tonight! Just glad it's here and can stop worrying haha! The pencil arrived on Tuesday so that's here to open too!

My iPad has been delivered and I'm just now going home to open it up and play around with it! Hope everyone is happy with theirs and if you haven't yet received yours I do hope it comes quickly.
I like to do that once in a while. My Air 2 was set up as new, figured it was time given I think the backup had its roots in my iPad 2, and possibly had vestiges of ancient jailbreaks on that and my iPad 3.

The Restore in Progress screen does look nice, although I don't think I can judge the True Tone display from that alone, heh.

I received it all looks fine. Just thinking - do I need an Apple Pencil ...... I would use it mainly for hand-writing notes. What app will be most suitable (fast accessing) for such daily, handwriting notes?
Like you I'm hoping the pencil will replace a paper notepad, I've heard good things about Notability, but I wil let you know what I think in 2 hours when it arrives

Won't be buying it for a short while yet but do like the look of it (plus using the Lightning connector to charge the Pencil).
My first impressions of my new iPad in comparison to my original Air - Screen is certainly much improved, colour is richer and things pop on screen!
Just an update regarding my situation, in case someone is experience the same with uk mail.
They're not going to deliver tomorrow, they're sending my ipad back to apple (cheers!)
But apple has marked me as urgent and will send out a replacement ASAP (1-3 business days). They also marked it not to use UK mail via my request. So yeah, we'll see how this goes. I'm not particular excited anymore, after all this hassle. I will be happy once I actually have the ipad in my hands, tracking doesn't excite me anymore.
