Recieved the ipad pro 9.7 today from dpd but was annoyed at the delivery time i mean 2;45?! Does dpd know most ppl would be working at this time and not be at home ?

Fingers crossed indeed. Of the two of us you deserve to have yours delivered much quicker than mine.

I hope the Agent is true to his word. I've a feeling he will be, personally.

Not saying Apple customer care is 100% all of the time but whenever I've dealt with them they've always been exemplary.

Nice of you to say, but I think we deserve it equally fast. I just got contacted by them again to let me know that they can't choose the courier. They'll just go with who delivers it the fastest.
Guess we will see how that goes.
No movement from "processing items" yet.

Nice one, Mark.

So overall, what do you think?

What iPad are you coming from?

Is it what you expected, or more/less?

Really like it, it's a solid upgrade. The display is amazing, the speakers are also really impressive. Coming from a Mini 4, but I've had a Air before as well.

It's about what I expected to be honest. That's not a disappointment, by the way. I knew it was going to be a lot faster than what I had.

Wish it had 3D Touch though.

Same questions to you?

My status changed in the early hours of this morning so I imagine when we wake tomorrow we should have some progress.

Shame Apple couldn't dictate who was delivering your iPad after UK Mail's fiasco!

Edit: just had a text from Apple, mine is being delivered by DPD so I really hope yours does too!

I think it's ... ok.

I think I was expecting too much, though?

To be perfectly honest, I think it's going to be outdated fairly soon. The next model will definitely have 4gb of RAM, then developers will be coding/designing with that in mind.

I think this iPad could be the new iPad 3, if you know what I mean?

I actually think I'm going to return it.

But I do tend to make hasty decisions!

I know what you mean. I don't know why but right after the keynotes I am so certain that I'm going to purchase this device and love it, but after receiving it everything feels like a minor update

Do you think you may return it?

Spending £619 on a new iPad, I really wanted to be amazed.

Especially as my iPad 4 is really quite ok.

It's a bit laggy, and heavy (now that I've held the Pro) and the screen looks really BLUE, now!

However, is it really worth £619 to me?

I'm really concerned that the next refresh will have 4gb of RAM (and it will) which will then be the standard.

iPad 3, all over again (which I was stung on, and I've held onto this 4 ever since) ...

I think I'm going to keep it, because I previously had an Air 2, which then I heard about the Air 3/Pro 9.7 coming out, and I was set on the quad speakers so I guess I got what I wanted.

It wouldn't be fair to say that this device isn't amazing in terms of camera, processor etc but I do agree with the whole 'iPad 3' situation. Give it the 14 days and consider returning it if you really don't feel it's a worthy investment. :)

Have you enabled Night Shift at all? That'll reduce some of the bluer tones, especially at night.

Just disabled it on my iPhone 6s Plus and anyone would think I've smashed a Blueberry over it, haha.

As for the lagging you're experiencing put that down to iOS 9.3. For whatever reason performance seems "poorer" on iPad than it does iPhone (despite iOS 9.2 for example) being "top notch".

Mine came, got it out the box, turned it on, saw a very noticeable dead pixel and also some sort of spec of dust making a weird bright sparkle spot, sighed at the predictability, put it back in the box and arranged a replacement. Will take it to UPS drop off tomorrow.

Exactly the same thing happened with my last iPhone. I was convinced this would happen :(

But at least Apple don't quibble at all. Both the Irish lads I talked to said "of course it should be perfect".

Guess it'll be Monday or Tuesday till I get to play

Good morning everyone,

My replacement order must have changed from 'processing items' to 'preparing for dispatch' over night.
Shame it's not 'dispatched' already :D

Is everyone happy with their iPads? I assume this thread is pretty much dead, now that most have gotten their iPads?

Granted it'll be two days' late but I reckon you'll have your replacement tomorrow myself.

Pleased your status changed overnight though :)

Thanks, yeah, I was happy to see that it moved.

Tomorrow? That would be nice, I think neither DPD nor UK Mail deliver on Saturdays though or am I wrong?

Why bother with all this delivery when one can walk in and get one from the store today? I mean I would understand if you guys would get it before hand, but it's not the case...

Easy answer: because here in Italy the iPad Pro 9.7 will be available on the 4th of April (Monday) but I work from Monday to Friday that means that I can

Hey, Here I am :)
Still waiting for my iPad ... and It should be delivered next week (between Monday to Wednesday) so I'm still here.
Bye

I'm pretty sure where I work has had DPD Deliveries before on a Saturday (and I've also seen them driving around the town too).
I just looked it up. It's a special service for them to deliver on a saturday (more pricey) :-/
I'll contact apple in a little bit and see what the status is.

I've just noticed that the iPad Pro 9.7" keyboard is available only in 1/2 weeks and is not yep possibile to get it in an apple store ... (Italy of course).
Looks like to much requests or too low availability.

Interesting offer on the apple pencil at argos, if used with or without QUIDCO cashback.

if you use quidco you can get 10% cashback on the pencil, you only have to pay in store.

also, argos has an offer at the moment (online and in store), if you spend over £50 you'll get a £5 voucher, or a £10 voucher, if you spend over £100.
this would make the apple pencil only £66.10 (if you have use for the voucher, of course) not bad at all. might go buy one tomorrow.

Mine sadly has a chip on the screen at the left hand bezel. Not a big deal for using but potential for a crack to start later so it's going back. Bit underwhelmed with it too (I have an Air 2) so I probably won't replace it at the moment.

I'm really sorry to hear that.

I haven't had an ipad since the ipad 2, which i sold years ago.
I think if you dont have a use for the pencil support, you're probably better off with your air 2!
