Most likely this is true and would make sense.

Well there's still hope for the iMac, but the Mac mini and Mac Pro...

...are a mess. It's very arrogant of Apple to still be selling the Mac Pro (and Mac mini) at the price it was at it's original release.
Yeah, they tend to do that and it's not working anymore. It is partially the reason why Macs are seen as absurdly expensive now. They always have been, but it's more apparent that Apples prices haven't moved with the time, and they no longer offer value for money as they once might have done at that price.
I guess the reason why it's worse is Tim Cook. It is definitely a tactic he deployed and it likely works, but they displease Mac fans. The average consumer buying a Mac mini, for example, may not research how outdated it is.

Pretty sure he/she partially just meant the spacing between icons is way too large on the iPads with IOS - especially the larger iPad Pro. There may be other complaints about IOS suggested in his/her posting, but who cares - get Android or whatever works for you. I agree, let me have more icons on the iPad launcher, but it's a minor nuisance.
I don't think the "large iPhone" thing is about spacing. It does not make sens. The difference between macOS and iOS is how you do things, not how much you put on screen.
About the spacing, one mistake would be to cram a lot of icons into the screen, making a mess with the launcher.

I think they will keep the iPad Air 2 instead of the 9.7 iPad Pro. There is more profit for Apple and more opportunity for channel partners to sell at a discount.

The iPad 2 had a heck of a run. I expect the iPad Air 2 will be similar.
It could even be an iPad "SE", mixing iPad air 2 and pro specs

But the lack of sales is proof that no one wants them.

Catch-22

Courage!!

I want a Mac mini! :D

What I really like is a Mac mini before the 2014 version. Just upgraded with no soldered components. But I know that's likely not too happen.

Yea it's unfortunate that the average consumer doesn't realize how out-of-date the Mac mini is. I mean they're technically the "latest and greatest" in the Apple world, but not in the outside world.

The Mac Pro pricing is such a shame. I realize some are still buying, at least according the Mac Pro section here. But it's obvious Apple doesn't care about their customers when the price on outdated hardware is still the same. Course one could argue it's good business, which in a way it is. But not so good for customers. Course if they tick off pros, they end up leaving the Apple eco-system and then sales go down. That and when others ask what sort of a computer they'd recommend, they're likely not to recommend Apple anymore.

2 yrs 3mths & counting; could'nt fault my Air 2 . It just works, however the 10.5 inch beckons :D I am so pre-order ready

that would be neat

Along with a File System to make the iPad functional rather than a consumption device. iPad its a computer, well sort of, we only limit the basic requirement of a file system.

Create a file system instead of calling it "Finder" call it "iCloud for iOS" that can store files locally on the hardware. Once internet connection is obtained it syncs with iCloud and it serves as a current back-up system. Have this open for all apps and the iPad has the basics down for a productivity computer. Until that time, all Apple is doing is throwing various sizes of iPad at the wall to see what sticks. Apple has become Google/Alphabet.

A 10.5 inch iPad Pro makes absolutely no sense to me. It is way too close to the 9.7 and really does not differentiate itself enough to warrant a new SKU. If you really wanted a size in between the two pro models why not truly go for something that is an actual in between size, like 11.3? That makes much more sense to me. As someone who owns and uses both Pro sizes (12.9 and 9.7) extensively I think something so close to 9.7 would be a waste.

Apple in Q1 of 2018 (after rolling out a 10.5 inch iPad Pro in Q1 of 2017): "And now for a truly magical idea: a fourth iPad Pro model with a screen size of 12.1 inches! It truly fills a gap in our magical line of iPad Pros!"

Maybe at the end of 2017 Tim Cook will get zero income.

Yeah, i'm finding it increasingly hard to recommend Macs. I really want to but a lot of the time they just can't be recommended for a lot of people. But maybe i'm wrong, as they have sold very well (although that's not considering the returns).

A 10.5" iPad pro Actually makes total sense. If Yu believe the rumors, it
L be the same physical size of the 9.7"....so in essence it will be replacing the 9.7". The rumors say that the 9.7" will be the low cost model. Perhaps non pro?

Yawn.

Currently for me, I have no reason to buy any new Apple products. I have Apple products that I use, but everything else is other stuff that I use on a daily basis. Apple no longer gives me a reason to use their products when there are potentially better alternatives.

I thought resolution meant pixel density?

Resolution is the amount of pixels in a bitmap image or screen. Pixel density is referring to the PPI (Pixels Per Inch). So something that is 1000px x 1000px and is 10in x 10in would have a pixel density (PPI) of 100PPI, which is pretty low.

I think at 10.5 getting a keyboard for it might be worth it as don't think it is on the 9.7 one. loved the keyboard on my 12.9 verison.

I have not read any of this thread so may be duplicating other posts.
However, an edge to edge design is idiotic: Apple seems to be abandoning accessibility.
Why? Well, how do we hold the Bleeping thing? The old, original iPad design had wide bezels to simplify handling. This worked. However, things changed. My 9.7 inch iPad Air has side bezels that are a tad too narrow; my fingers tend to creep over the screen with resultant erratic things happening.
Edge to edge? No way!

I love my iPad mini. But I really want to use the Apple pencil for sketching. So for my next ipad, I'll either get an iPad mini pro(if they make it) or this rumored 10.5" iPad pro.

This is looking sexy! Saying this, iPad I believe needs bezels for a much better holding experience.
