I just put my phone in DFU and reinstalled 14.1 - then 3 minutes later there's news of an update to the beta... FML.
And about 10% of the people should read the whole thread before commenting then they'd realise there's iPhone 12 owners running stock iOS who are also experiencing this.
fixed with todays actual update
Many users running iOS 14 beta are reporting that they are seeing a dialog box pop up repeatedly asking them to update from the latest iOS 14 beta.

Threads in our forums, Reddit, and Twitter are reporting the issue. The dialog has been appearing for a few days now, but as of tonight has started appearing more frequently, every time an iPhone is unlocked. There's been further discussion in our iOS 14.2 Beta 4 thread.
Previous betas have reportedly seen the same issue, according to postings in our forum.
Update: There's a new golden master version of iOS 14.2 and iPadOS 14.2 available to developers and public beta testers, which fixes the issue.

I would like to have seen the build number of those iPhone 12 iOS 14.x’s. If there was a letter at the end, it was a beta.Ahh, glad we got an update, and turns out my guess was wrong about it being server side.
Those that were reporting the issue in this thread about it affecting their iPhone 12’s that were not on the beta, are you still seeing the bug?

As I mentioned earlier, my wife’s iPhone 11 Pro was (is) on iOS 14.1, not beta, and she has never seen the pop up.
Actually, pretty sure you were right that at least part of the issue was server side. We had beta 4 for 10 days, but the problem really only became very onerous over the last couple of days. (and some people downgraded to beta 3 and still had the issue). I think Apple made some server-side changes to the catalogue servers that only showed up in the last beta builds - this update fixes the change in configuration for the clients.Ahh, glad we got an update, and turns out my guess was wrong about it being server side.

I did the same only to realize that all my watch data from 9/7 on was gone. I ended up reinstalling 14.2 beta and then restoring from back up. At least 3-4 hours wasted. Once all my apps re-downloaded, the 'fixed' beta showed up.I just put my phone in DFU and reinstalled 14.1 - then 3 minutes later there's news of an update to the beta... FML.
That would be based on an assumption that it is supposedly just something like that and not something else that it can very well be.This just screams of developers not knowing what the heck is going on. It is very simple, Beta software times out after a certain date. Apple WAS SUPPOSED TO RELEASE A NEW BETA BEFORE THIS MESSAGE. It is because they didn't this is happening. Simple programming if date after this then do this.
This just worked for me!!! I’m glad I seen this cause I was going insane!!! Do you know if apple is coming out with and update tomorrow where it will fix this issue so we can change out date back to normal? If you turn off in settings automatically set date, and change the date to OCT28th or before, this issues disappears.
Worked for me
Read this happened in 2012 because the end date was coded improperly. I removed my profile from the beta group and attempted to downgrade but Apple has blocked users from trying to do so -- not sure if they are preventing authentication signatures with their servers but that's what it appears and I have seen in other forums. Was a part of several public betas on Andriod, left one because of bug that lasted 3+/- days - settings > factory reset. Apple > watch a dozen videos, read a bunch of forums, contact a non-existent customer service team and wait for next full version update to push to your phone...otherwise disable date/time settings.Seeing as there were people reporting the issue on Beta 2 and 3, I suspect it's server side, not a bug in Beta 4. Could be that the Update Server has responded to automatic update pings from our devices saying that public release is out and they want everyone off the beta. Once that flag is set on our devices, it notifies us, and the longer we go, the more often it nags us, thus why some of us had it only happening once/twice a day until last night. Also explains why it's happening to people on Beta 2/3, as well as iPhone 12 users on 14.1.
Therefore, any fix would be on Apple's end, not an update sent to us.
My phone is an 11 Pro Max, I was on the 14.2 Beta 4, and I got it on the phone and on two iPads, that is, the latest Mini, and the latest Pro 12”.Yea, I know the 11 and before were not getting the issue, it seemed unique to the 12’s on 14.1 out of all the devices not in the 14.2 beta cycle.
Theoretically, all the 12’s would be on the same build that was the GM, as that’s the point of GM. Shame we could establish what the common thing was other than being a 12.

Both my iPad and phone are getting this. So annoying.
Was extremely annoying all day yesterday woke up this morning in Ireland (5am) I’ve an update so hopefully it will solve itOmg it’s getting worse and worse

You seem to be misunderstanding my posts. I know that any device running the iOS 14.2 beta were having the problems (including the 11 Pro Max), as I have an 11 Pro Max and I was getting the issue. I was asking about the people who were NOT on the beta WITH the 12 & 12 Pro who were reporting the issue as well, as that was the anomaly. My phone is an 11 Pro Max, I was on the 14.2 Beta 4, and I got it on the phone and on two iPads, that is, the latest Mini, and the latest Pro 12”.
Again, my wife’s iPhone 11 Pro didn’t get it, but hers was and still is on 14.1, and has never had a beta build on her phone.
So, it wasn’t just the iPhone 12 series.
Just reporting here so other people who might be interested can be aware that all iOS devices are affected. Is it beta software if so what do You expect if not lodge a report with Apple.
