Hell, if Microsoft can be sued for integrating and/or bundling Internet Explorer into Windows, why the heck not?

Good!! :D

I love my Apple products, but I think Mr. Jobs is acting childish when it comes to Adobe...

Even though they're (Adobe) going to lose in the end! It's worth a try!!

So you acknowledge no laws have been broken, but you want the legal system abused as, what, a way to punish Steve Jobs? Seriously?

Are they going to also sue for Apple not including Shockwave? Get a life Adobe, just because the anti-Apple zealot nerds are on your side doesn't mean the law is.

While I don't like how Apple is being so controlling and anti-Adobe right now, I'm not sure what law they are breaking. I doubt they could be considered a monopoly. Are their actions anti-competitive and could that be a legitimate lawsuit? Is it illegal to prevent software from running on your platform just because you don't like it? Not sure. Should be interesting to see what happens.

The smell of death is in the air, the adobe shareholders really need to sack the board before its to late, fighting this is madness, as i said apple are quite entitles to make what ever terms and conditions they want on there own product, Adobe have attached them selves to apple like a leach and now apple have had enough they dont like it, relationships between companies change, get over it, they blew it years ago let alone publicly slating apple regarding flash and the iPhone, we all know how Steve loves that .

If Adobe are to survive they either need to stop moaning and move on or a change in leadership is needed to repair the relationship with Apple.

Agreed. This is going to take them in the exactly opposite direction they should be taking, as far as their relationship with Apple goes.

Good for Adobe, although i fail to see what exactly they're suing over.

If I were Adobe, I would also halt sales on products to the Mac platform.

This is not about facts, it's about PR. The issue is ethical, not legal. Apple is being accused of changing the rules for submitting apps to it's store specifically to block the efforts of Adobe.
This wont go very far in the courts, but the media and technocracy will eat this up and further sour Apple's image.

I'm 100% behind Adobe.. and I hope Unity and Appcelerator joins in.

I love Apple products but this DRM/App store lock in really has to end. It's downright anti-competitive not to allow others to have software on there.

They could simply have a slider in prefers to allow non-app store apps.

Everything going as planned, Steve must be asking, what took them so long.

Very exiting new productive products in the near future. I hope Adobe doesn't pull back on this suit, since :apple: is counting on it. :D

Apple's share of the mobile phone / browser market is large enough that the suit may be similar in some ways to the Microsoft Windows antitrust suit.

I'll believe it when the suit is filed. Even then, it might be grand standing. Maybe there is some slander, but I don't know if Jobs or anyone at Apple made any statement that wasn't true.

The relationship between Apple and Adobe has reputedly been pretty poor, I don't know how a lawsuit would improve it.

I'm glad, but I'm a bit worried now.. @ Adobe.com you cannot pre-order Adobe CS5 for Mac =/ only the PC??

There better be CS5 for MAC!!!! I've said it many times before but If there isn't Apple is loosing me as a Mac User.. and I'm sure other Designers aswell..

I'm 100% behind Apple. They have the right to shield their platform from something that they believe will hurt it.

This is like filing a suit against Sony because they decided that the PS3 wouldn't be able to read HD-DVDs. Ridiculous.

You know, what I'd like to see is internet users at large suing Adobe for making the internet a significantly more rubbish experience. Imagine if the internet users won and flash would be banned.

Hmmmmmm........ this fantasy is so wonderful

It's in the developer license agreement that Apple can deny any kind of project for any reason they want, right? At least something along those lines, at least. Regardless of where you stand on the issue, I don't think you can seriously argue that Apple is doing anything illegal.

No.

The difference between a legal monopoly and an illegal monopoly is not determined by market share.

I don't think Apple's image looked good before Adobe announcement.
This suing thing won't make any different...

I've never experienced any problems regarding Flash with my browsers.. it only happens on Safari.. =/ I've tried Firefox and Opera and it seems to be fine on those..
