Adorama Black Friday MBP Sale Backorder Thread

I ordered an i9, 32GB, 1TB, Vega 20 last Monday and just got my tracking info from Adorama (had to ask via chat). Looks like it should arrive by Thursday/Friday of this week.
 
Here we go with another Adorama excuse. Instead of a few days canceling my AppleCare and refunding me, now it will take 1-2 weeks. I told them there will be a charge back if its not done sooner.

Please be advised that the cancellation of your AppleCare has been
requested. However, since the AppleCare is already registered it mat take
1-2 weeks to process the cancellation.

I will let you know once your Apple Care is cancelled.
 
I went to my Apple Store just across the state border...NO TAX. Cancelled my Adorama order, up yours Adorama! The transaction section of my order on their website has changed. Before cancelling it said my card was only charged for AppleCare now after cancelling it says the full amount for the MBP and AppleCare was charged to m card. A bit odd so I checked my credit card account and nothing has been charged, strange?

Anyway, I opened up the box the laptop was nice and clean. I check the build, no gaps between panels, no dead pixels etc. I am setting up the laptop and installing of my apps and data. I Will run benchmark tests to stress it.

PS: I feel liberated having bought from Apple and having a good return policy, if needed. Was dreading breaking that perfect seal on the perfectly packaged MBP and possibly dealing with Adorama if I found any slight defect.

My i7 Vega 20 arrived today from Shangai bought from adorama in november 26. I need to wait until saturday to pick up and open this luxury laptop.

I save more than 500 dollars so hope everything goes fine because they ordered direct from Apple

I just want to know problems with kernel and keyboard.

I will buy next month applecare

i did the same.. liberated from a piss poor company to the best in the biz.
i canceled this passed saturday.. ordered from apple and it arrives coming this friday! faaaast!
i7 32/500 vega 20.

I guess there are just consistency issues as I've had a great experience with Adorama. Their support has been helpful/friendly and my order is arriving roughly the same time that Apple estimated on their order page.

No it’s not. I calculated my same build I did and I saved another $50 or so bucks with the military one over education one.

DHL sucks as bad as Adorama. The tracking still showed it in Dallas. They just delivered to my house the laptop. I won't even open the shiping box because its that apple pull tab. And put the return paperwork in the clear pocket on the outside, and put the shipping label on the box. On their return instructions they specifically say not to tape anything to the manufacture box including the shipping label. I laughed and said DHL did, I have to tape it to the box to return it. LOL.

Off it goes to UPS Ground and wait for my new one from Apple tomorrow.

Nope. Try again. Here is a screen shot. left to right. Military one is almost $100 cheaper than Education.

I'm glad you provided a counterpoint, even though I've had a bad experience with them. I guess people are more apt to post the negative as opposed to a positive experience. Unfortunately for me once I'm burned it is difficult to cut a company slack by doing business with them/recommending them. I'm glad it worked out for you with no issues.🙂
 
I was so happy to see my Adorama status today "In Progress - we're preparing your order for shipment".

I ordered an i7/16GB/1TB/Vega 20 on 11/25 from them to save $600. I was planning to Christmas wrap it to myself from my wife and surprise her when I open it because she doesn't know I'm getting it, but now I can't wait to open it lol Congrats to all others who received theirs already and enjoying it!

Yes i live 15 min away and gave them an option to refund now or i come to store and raise hell.. i was bluffing of course 😉

lol! I got all the paperwork after I threatened them with a charge back. They did a refund that day. But I still haven't seen it on my card yet.

Update on my Apple order. UPS got delayed due to weather in the KY area. Sadly. It isn't going to make it to me today unless I can some how pick it up at the UPS warehouse when it gets here from Dallas today. UPS Chat told me I can't. But I've done it somehow before with other items in the past.

Odd. Shows in stock on Adorama's product page, yet still shows backordered on my account.

i received the delivery today from fedex. box came crushed on one corner. looks like they where playing Frisbee with it.. yup disappointed... also had a noticeable nick on the back left bottom side corner of the mbp once i opened to examine the damage.
called apple they offered to exchange.... now what?
