If you paid for overnight - and they do not ship overnight, I would open a dispute with the credit card issuer for the overnight charge, that you are likely to win.

They may actually ship it overnight, but that doesn't mean you'll get it the day after you order it. While overnight to me means I get it next day but actually means we'll overnight it once we complete processing the order and it is ready to ship. So, yes they overnighted it to you, even if you did not get it the next day.

Education discount is better than the military discount :)
Where do you see lower education prices? On the military US store, the MBP 15" is 80 - 90$ cheaper, iPad pros aroound 30$ less, than the educational prices. They also appear to have discounts of 10% on items not discounted on the education store, such as Apple watches, TVs and and accessories

I got mine from Adorama yesterday (ordered i9, Vega 20, 32GB, 1TB on Cyber Monday). Delivered in perfect condition from DHL and in the process of getting everything moved over from my old MBP!

Looks like they are back in stock and the $225 off code still works. I may take the jump and order soon. Also offering free 2 day shipping through Shoprunner.

You can also get Adorama 1% cash back if you run the order through ebates.com, I forgot to do it but it should work.

True. They said backordered up until today I believe. I'm trying to decide if it's worth the risk to order from them and save $500 or just go to Apple.

For the 2018 MacBook Pro, I would order only from Apple.

Too many people are reporting issues which would make me uncomfortable not being able to return it.

That's because Adorama lies. It's in stock at Apple, just not at Adorama. When I ordered mine originally it said in stock too.

Shipped out yesterday. Guess it was just delayed information.

Received mine just now. Mint condition with no damage to box or MBP. Now the wait begins for my restore. :(

Check your screen uniformity while you're on macrumor. make sure the page fully encompasses the screen, and look to see if theres a color shift on the left side VS the right. I noticed mine was had a pink hue on the left while green/blue on the right.

Actually you may want to try Apples military pricing. It's cheaper than Apple, and its basically the same price as Adorama. Compare the price. You don't need to show proof either just like the education store.

Nothing that I can see.

Interesting. Why does Adorama have so many issues if they order directly from Apple? It is beginning to sound like maybe saving $500 using them isn't worth the hassle if I get a damaged machine and they won't accept returns.

I meant that the number of possible issues with the 2018 Macbook Pro seems pretty high (T2 Bridge OS errors, keyboard errors, etc.) no matter where you buy it. The chances are very good that you will have no issues with your 2018 MacBook Pro (I recommend buying one) but, if you do purchase a lemon, it's nice to be able to return the computer within the 14 day period.

If you purchase somewhere other than Apple, read carefully their return policy.

If there's a defect and you didn't purchase from Apple, Apple won't do anything about it? I don't know as I have never bought from anywhere but Apple.

I know with Adorama, it sounds like once you open the computer, they won't take it back.

Apple is responsible for repairing it but they will not take returns from purchases at Adorama.

In the case of repairs, Apple service has some things they try to elevate T2 Bridge OS crashes (if you get them) but currently have no guaranteed fix for them. Since the crashes are intermittent, it's reported it can be tough to get a computer exchange from Apple service.

If you feel comfortable about having Apple service fixing a new computer and you want to save some money, order from someone else other than Apple.

Otherwise, order from Apple and return it if it has any issues.

I CONCUR. i canceled adorSCAMA and went with apple. fdx delivered package damaged. apple is as sending a new one in a few days. highly doubt i would of accomplished this with those people.

I can only imagine the headaches it would be to exchange with Adorama or B&H if there was a small chip on the machine or a screen that wasn't very even or was dim, etc...I bet they would push back on you trying to exchange for those kinds of things whereas Apple takes it back no questions.

From the sound of it, I'll just order from Apple using an education discount. Not worth the risk of getting a defective machine and having the retailer argue with me over it once I open the box to inspect the product.

Still waiting for Adorama to refund. I just got into it with them today and told them I am doing a charge back if it's not done by the EOB today. My CC already sent me the bill and interest being charged now that I have to pay because it's taken Adorama 2.5 weeks to cancel/refund my order. Ugh. I'll never use them ever again, no matter how good the deal is. Sending stuff back to NewEgg is night and day difference vs Adorama.

Nor will I ever use them again.

I ordered from Adorama 11/25 and just received it today, took 17 days. I wasn't aware of their policy of No Returns once the box is opened, it's not right. I don't think I'll buy from them again if they don't change their policy. So far mine is good a 2018 i7/16GB/1TB/Vega 20 and saved $600. Now in the process of wiping the SSD clean, doing first aid check for errors, partition, etc. and will install boot camp and the latest Mojave, glta.

Apple is one of the few places that accepts open box computer returns which is why they charge more.

Thank you for the tip. I remember seeing Adorama’s rewards program but didn’t think much of it. I have 0 points now but will check later if it goes to 3,324 for the cost of the MacBook Pro.

Adorama should do the same, sell some as new open boxes instead of punishing us to not allow returns once the box is opened.

After my previous experience with Adorama, I will never use them again. I bought a MBP that cost around $4k, and they didn't show it was backordered when I ordered it. After that, I tried to cancel the order. They charged my card immediately when I ordered it btw. They said they canceled it, but I had no confirmation email. The item suddenly shipped a few days later. I had to call them and yell at them for that, and they blamed it on Apple. Once I received it, I got a return label to return it. I sent it back. It took over a week for them to confirm they received it back (after it was already delivered), and me yelling at them multiple times on the phone. Once that happened, they finally initiated the refund. It finally did come. But, they did not refund the shipping like they promised. I had to call them again and get them to refund the shipping too. It seems their customer service people have no clue what they are doing plus they have to be constantly reminded on actual doing their job. After all this stress, I will never order from them again. It was a nightmare.
