Could care less about increased water resistance as my 1 year old first gen. airpods seem to deal with sweat just fine. Noise cancellation is the feature I want and would likely make me consider upgrading.

I lost my AirPods back in April and have been dying to get new ones. Been watching sales but holding off.

Now, do I wait even longer? Fall is so far off...

Between this and the new MBA, what are we on a 8-10 month refresh cycle now? What the hell? The new Airpods only came out 4 months ago.

Man I actually just lost my first gens - I was hoping for a more compelling upgrade than water resistance (which the first gens kind of had anyway). Noise cancellation would be bomb, Sony just released theirs with noise cancellation.

My first-gen AirPods still work great and fit perfectly, and I don't have anything that wirelessly charges just yet (save for my Watch Series 4).

Will wait and see, just as I have my phone (still an iPhone 7).

I always joke that I wish my first gens would die to give me a reason to upgrade. Still going strong too so I’m stuck with them!

Can we hurry up, lost my damn gen 2 AirPods and holding out as long as I can. Use them for work calls and now stuck using my beats. Would love a way to track in find my app when pods are in charging case. I mean, how hard is it to enable WiFi/Bluetooth tracking for when you are in range of case so you can find them.

Glad I waited on the 2nd gen ones... hopefully my battery holds out.

I'm at just over the 2 year mark with my airpods and I estimate my battery is at about 50 percent now. I get a max of 1 hour calling.

I don't care about waterproof, but fingers crossed they come with noise cancellation of some type.

First minute purchase for me. Love to be able swim to music if such a thing is possible.

Also, have the case have usb-c charging. The days of lightning cables need to come to a close.

I actually want to wear them in the shower! I use a Bluetooth speaker now, but family complains if I get a little loud. I also have a long walk from my parking lot to work, and frequently get caught in the rain. Water resistance would be very useful for me.
I don’t care about noise cancellation, but as long as it can be turned on/off, I’ll take it!

EarPods and AirPods can’t really be compared when it comes to the fit. I was holding out on AirPods because EarPods were uncomfortable for me, but I regret that since they work just perfect. They're not for everyone of course.

Some of it is (imo) due to dangling wires affecting how solid the fit remains during use. EarPods always fell out for me (especially when running), but AirPods basically never do.

The new Sony WF-1000MX3 look like they are going to be a hit. Thus far, I have refused to purchase AirPods until they do their primary task with a modicum of competence i.e. the sound. Hope Apple is able to hit it out of the park with any new iterations coming later this year.

Water resistance would be welcomed, however...

Within a few minutes of putting my AirPods 2 into my ears, my mind starts to become anxious, I feel antsy and my eyes have trouble reading lines without bouncing around. This does not happen as quickly with my Beats... I have read that others experience the same with androgen issues.

First in line for these! My original AirPods are hobbling to the finish line, unable to take Siri commands and with the left one dying out in half the time as the right. They still work so I’ll wait. Hopefully available after the September event.
