yes you can cash drawers are held in their hidden cabinets under product displays/tables.

Well - At least then we'd know who all the scalpers were!
(those insisting to buy 2 for him and "his wife" with cash)

Those same people "don't have an Apple ID" somehow, despite loving Apple products and having an iPhone and iPad to use with their new AirPods!

wink wink wink

I have Beats Bluetooth latest headphones and they sound pretty good, but they feel tight on the head a little bit and make my ears sweat after a while. That's one of the reasons why I want to try these AirPods. I am curious to see if I will be able to use them for running and road cycling actually. I guess the only real question I have is whether they will work for "me". Every ear canal is probably a bit different, so I am wondering if maybe the fit will be depending on what kind of ear canal shape a person has. I'll soon find out I guess.

I'm sure the AirPods will be good.

For what it's worth the Apple standard headphones and other makes never stayed in my ear at all - would near instantly fall out. So I went for Bose which do actually stay in. So I was very pleasantly surprised that an Apple designed headphone would stay in. I hope you have the same result.

Update - I'm not so sure the battery is going to last 5 hours. I'll see tomorrow when I use them in my normal way.

Just read two reviews saying the microphone is garbage.

Hasn't Apple figured this out yet?

It's why Siri sucks and Alexa is amazing. It's all in the quality of the mic.

I use my Earpods for phone calls all the time because they actually use a decent mic.

With the garbage mic, airpods went from a must have to a won't buy for me.

Sigh. I was just about to order them.
Can tell you right now, there can be fixes via firmware updates for any sound or mic issues that might currently be in the product. Apple isn't stupid, the fact you can look up the firmware information via your phone is a clear indicator that updates will happen at some point. I wouldn't listen to any reviewer for a product such as this. Sound products are a 100% subjective. Just because I say I like beats for the sound.. doesn't mean you'll like them for the sound. I would say give them a chance and try them for yourself.... or just don't get them and get something you really would like.

Anyone know if stores get daily shipments or will it be once a week. Would have liked a pair before Christmas for my daughter-in-law.

hilarious that people line up to throw $150 away when you can right now buy a better pair of bluetooth headphones for $15 on amazon

Ok - But that was a "promise" that was way late from the original "promise"..

lol

The goalpost moved there my friend...
In any case - glad you love them!

Seriously dude? What goalpost was moved? In my OP, I specifically said that they delivered 2 days early as the reason why Apple 'over delivered'.

This is why I usually stay away from forums like these. They are the bottom of the barrel of the Internet and humanity in general.

Easy tiger - I was just pointing out that Apple originally said the AirPods would ship way way earlier (like months). That was all I meant by "The goalpost moved".

You're right...the delayed EarPods did finally come up for order and they gave you a ship date and slightly beat that estimate.

I'd appreciate if you don't insinuate that I'm "bottom of the barrel of humanity"

Can we try to be kind?
I was not being rude.

I want an actual in-depth review of the sound quality. Not the "I just paid 160 and they sound amazing." Too much purchase justification.

I did a voice memo test between the two microphones. AirPods and iPhone 7 mic.

AirPods definitely sound clear but not as clear as the iPhone microphones. But I wouldn't blame it on bad microphones. I think apple has done something with the software in these (noise cancelling, air beaming, multiple microphone inputs) which as a side effect causes the slight loss of audio quality. That being said during initial use I haven't had siri been unable to understand me...yet.

I would even buy these without the microphone, they're pretty great.

I'm using them now. You can control the volume. Siri. Thus far I've just used my phone because it's been in my pocket, but if it wasn't, I've used Siri to do it and it's perfect. Siri understands me better with these inside a noisy mall than in the quiet of my house on my phone or watch.
Thanks, would you mind trying something?

During a phone call, can you see if Siri can adjust the volume?

Waited at our Apple Store before work. I was the 3rd person in line. A guy comes out and lets us know that they received ONE for sale. ONE!! But they had plenty on demo for us to try....

It makes me wonder if Apple employees got the rest for themselves. They either get it for themselves, their relatives, or scalp and resell them on ebay.

Apple doesn't ship just one unit. They ship them in cases or boxes full of them.

I wonder what new thing Apple could release that people will not stand in line for?

I'm sure there's been a recent example?
Were there people in line for the new book when it came out? I can't remember if there were, but wouldn't shock me if there was.
