Always the way with every Apple product. I wonder how many have ended up at my local CEX. The only reason scalpers exist is because people are impatient and are willing to pay way over retail to get the product straight away. If people stopped buying from scalpers the problem would go away but unfortunately that's not likely.

Can someone explain why are people so excited about these headphones?

I'm being serious not sarcastic. We've had wireless headphones for years and now people line up as if it was the first iPad.

Using those existing BT headphones can be extremely frustrating, so I'm excited about the W1 chip.

I'm also very excited about no longer having to readjust the cord that rests on my neck when I'm working out or wearing a winter coat.

At news that new product releases by Apple still sell boatloads and that there are people lining up to get them. Jealous at their success basically, which is pretty much a hard pill to swallow for Apple haters that keep praying for the company's demise and/or wishing their favorite brand could generate as much enthusiasm.

Sound is materially better than EarPods, especially the deeper base.

Honestly, pretty much anything sounds better that the earpods...

Yeah people don't make much sense anyway. I feel the same about the new Mario game. I love it and think its the best pricing model for mobile but people would rather be nickel and dimed to death or wait for timers rather than pay $10 for a full game. Skip a couple lattes and enjoy Mario!

Yes, just Imagine! haha. Big deal...... They do sell replacements - I guess they thought of it. Probably you could even get your lost earbud back if someone found it if they want to "lock them down" with tech.

Here's a perfect example of fake news: people who have never used AirPods saying they have terrible sound. Pretty much every review I've seen so far says the sound is good, and certainly better than EarPods. Just because they have a similar shape doesn't mean the sound is exactly the same.

Bluetooth audio devices are not supported on PS4 is what my PS4 told me But I wasn't able to get my PS4 to sync with my Bose wireless either, so not expecting it to do this.

It's more of nothing is fact unless you can back it up beyond "my friend says..."

It could be more that he isn't as sure in his friendship and hasn't been offered such perks by"his friend".

I just find it highly odd that 10-20 people were in line at 6:30 AM got their names on a list for pick up later-but couldn't appear at 9:00 when the doors opened to pick them up-

I went this morning at 7:30 am to Menlo Park Mall Edison, NJ store opened at 8 am was third person online, picked up 1 pair everyone else was grabbing 2. I am guessing by now there gone.
And i was lucky one to per order first thing at 9:06 am so that arrived to my office as i walked in.

Of all the FUD, this is the one that I find most ridiculous. Losing one earbud? What are you doing that you won't notice something fall out of your ear or that you can't pick it back up?

Don't do calisthenics while standing on a sewer grate, and you'll be fine...

I guess that is one way to answer someone's concern.

What happens if you lose one?

Answer: just don't lose it, and you won't have to worry about it.
