Already did, 11 Pro and Pro Max have a USB-C charger.
Yea but I hope it comes to the iPhone as well. Now I need 3 separate chargers, USB-C for my iPad, USB-A for my iPhone+AirPod, and thirdly the watch cable. And a regular Qi charger doesn’t make it better, since it can only charge the iPhone and AirPods.

Then there is a bigger issue, since I my hearing is not so great, is it really worth it to buy $250 earphones?
Are you annoyed by background noise with your current earphones?

Please forgive this take if it offends anyone... I'm sure she's a very nice person, but I can't help but think that her entire appeal is about making dudes horny while watching her.

The few times I've listened to her I felt like I was getting marketed to by the head of the high school cheerleading squad.
Correct, she knows very little about tech. Just read the comments on her videos, pretty much all the same stuff over and over. She reads product details and what she over hears, uses it as review fodder. I’m sure she’s a nice person but she’s not a techie. But alas that’s where reviews are these days.. it’s what is “cool” and has very little to do with the actual product.

Their strict contracts with Apple only allow comments about "unboxing" and "impressions" to be made. Nothing that can be considered a "review".

The point is to generate hype not informed decisions.
This is untrue. Apple's restrictions on reviews deals with time embargoes, not content. A reviewer can give a bad review. They may lose their early access, but they are free to review the products as they please.
MKHB must run like Phoebe on friends lol
Dude is a professional athlete... in a goofy sport imo, but a professional athlete nonetheless.
Does anyone know if the new AirPod Pros have active *mic* noise cancellation, this to mute out street noise as you're walking around a city?
Yes. These are ANC earbuds. The "A" stands for active. Even a cursory skim of the article would have told you that.
Edit: all I want to know is how do these sound compared to other popular wireless headphones (e.g., Powerbeats Pro, Airpods v1/2, etc.)
The MKBHD video was a first impression video. He said he would do comparisons in his full review. It's kind of hard to criticize and complain when you don't even take the time to read or view.

Yeah - it's a sad state of affairs..
Everyone just rushes out "something" to try to dip into the traffic

MKBHD's full review will be using the "retail" AirPods he buys himself.

Tech companies send their products with a requirement that you can't mention anything negative because it's not a "final" product until release.

In-ear is a no no for me, I don't want to dull one sense completely whilst running/cycling. Original airpods are perfect for me.
You know, you just turn on transparency mode, and it bleeds through all the sound that the mics pick up from outside. It's mentioned in most of the articles.

If these came in black I'd go for them. Prefer the style and shape over my PowerBeats Pro.
$249 and a can of black spray paint.

It’s the entire idea to hear opinions of normal people? I don’t care that much what an audiophile thinks about the new AirPods, I care about what normal people thinks (since I’m also normal guy). Of course looks matter as well, but that is true for both genders. At least she is very happy and gives out a positive vibe, many people appreciate that.

I'm glad you enjoy her videos
Cheers

Why is everyone on this forum so set on gatekeeping technology? What exactly is wrong with someone who isn't super tech savvy reviewing a product from a "normal" person perspective? You all realize that the millions of people who buy these products are not people who are gonna sit and read some in-depth technical review about every little thing?

Average people want to know the basics - how well does it work and how does it integrate into their lifestyle? That's what all these YouTubers go over and the reason they have the audience. Good for you guys for not liking that and not watching the content this people make. You're sooooooo different and cool and smart. I swear people bitching about "dumb YouTubers" are more grating than the actual YouTubers themselves.

Where can I read anything that these people wrote? Who has time to sit through the same, contrived hype reels for 3-4 minutes of close-up shots of the products while the "influencer" drones on about the packaging? MKBHD can get the click from someone else, but these 5-10 minutes "impressions/unboxing" videos are as close to worthless as a 30-second tv spot.

"integrate into their lifestyle"?
lol - ok

Honestly, there's nothing a superficial YT review can really share that's going to actually answer that other than buying and trying them.

Wha tis with these youtubers who think normal AirPods sound bad. They are clearly bias, the original AirPods sound amazing for what they are... in fact some of the best sound.... NOT THE BEST, but still much better than most..

The article states they go as low as 20hz. If that is even true, it would probably at be at -30db lol, meaning it’s technically true but It’s not percievable.

Yeah, frequency response specs without a response graph are useless... something any audiophile has known since at least the 1960's. Also, with headphones, especially in-ear ones, that curve depends on fit and the physics of your ear canals, not to mention the quality of your ears machinery (old ears like mine often suck).

The only way to understand sound quality is to do it the old fashioned way. Listen to very familiar and demanding music through various devices and decide what headphone, etc. reveal the nuances you like in the music the best. And people can have honest and legitimate differences in those observations.

In other words, it's personal. And frankly, putting "sound quality" and Earpods in the same sentence is ridiculous. I own a Gen 1 pair, and use them in certain situations, but I would never pretend that they sound good. But they are better than nothing sometimes and in some settings they're perfect.
