Please, just please, give me one thing.

Give me a power button on the side. I don't care if it's 4.7in or if its made of paper, I just want a side power button.

I agree. I had the HTC one and there was some stretching and re-adjusting to get to that power button.

And yet... Apple is selling more iPhones now than they ever have. What more do you want them to do?

Don't forget... you're comparing a single company (Apple) to dozens of companies (the Android collective)

Apple will never have the majority of smartphone market share in the future... and they never did in the past either. That's fine. When the iPhone first came out... Symbian was the market share leader. Now it's Android.

So what?

Hey Michael,
My point is that I believe the 'leaks' are not really leaks, but rather, shrewd marketing by Apple to increase buzz and market share, hence my thread title referring to TC's doubling down on security.

You are 100% correct in that Apple will never have a majority of the smartphone market, nor PC market, for that matter, but to keep shareholders happy and profits rolling, you need great marketing to go with great products.

What is interesting is that there are 'leaks' about the iphone but not one single, photo, image or reflections about the watch, just rumors on this board and ohters. Which lends support to my contention that Apple either leaks or allows other to selectively leak things where they need or want additional spin. BTW, when the original iphone came out there were no leaks and the same holds true to the pads, mini and maxi.

Nope, they look ghastly. To be fair, iPhone leak pictures have often looked kinda nasty only for the final product to look nice, but those do look pretty bad. I'm not a fan of that aspect of the iPhone 5 - I think it looks cheap and amateurish (as do the big breaks on mobile-ready iPads), and this looks worse!

But if the rumours about size are true then I don't need to worry about it, as I won't be buying a new iPhone anyway (too big) :(

Won't those sections be covered in glass? It shouldnt look like that

I honestly don't think Apple needs to create buzz. But you're certainly entitled to your opinion.

I'd love to know what "Xiao Long Tea House" is... was that part of the "deal" Apple made for these controlled leaks? They leak pictures and get free advertising for some Chinese restaurant?

wow the thickness of those separators on the back, ugly... Apart from that looks nice ;)

You mean like these that everyone drooled over?

This... This looks horrible to me.

Meh, I hate the idea of a bigger screen anyway. I'd rather have a phone, not a tablet in my pocket. I think I'll just stick with my 5S.

Oh Boy!!! Watch me run….. D-Yikes!

100% agree with U. Like I said, I'm gonna run, far away from this thing.

Having a phone (My Moto X) that has the power button the side is so much more comfortable, esp. if the phone is going to be 4.7in/5.5in. No matter which hand you grip the phone in either your thumb or finger is right there on the button. Imagine having a large phone and having to stretch to hit the power button.

Go try an HTC One M8. It's power button is on the top. You really have to stretch to hit it.

Wait. People turn off their phones?

Is it just me that thinks that the back would look much better without those breaks?

Indeed. I don't see why Apple isn't using the 5C design elements which certainly results in a cleaner look.

Such an aesthetic design.

Bet that is going to be comfortable to use. /s
Nothing that a case can't fix though.

Agreed, but it needs to be made from metal at least. I love the shape.

Apple needs to start buckling down more.....all these rumors of Apple products/pictures on the most part become true.

I watched the WWDC live and to be honest, I read about everything already online from websites like this...hardly any surprises anymore.

Well, almost all of the iOS 8 features didn't leak, only Healthbook which became Health and didn't look anything like the leaks and Extensibity was only referred as "new APIs for contact between iOS services and apps". Mark Gurman's sources were nice to not leak everything for the sake of surprise.

The MBA is ultra thin yet is able to retain an all day battery.

The MBA is about 24 iphones stacked side by side. Of course it's going to last all day.

Nah, that looks cheap to me. We want metal. So we can cover it up with plastic. ;)
