Seriously, can we buy these part leakers nicer cameras and some photography lessons?

Was just thinking the same thing! Not only are they always blurry, poor lighting, but they always seem to take the most awkward pics. Why not take one showing the Apple logo on the plug? or the phone case next to a ruler so we see the exact size?

I just noticed something that's going to suck.

The current dock connector is sturdy and strong enough to hold the phone up in a dock. This means you can use your phone in any dock, even without having to use dock adapters or similar.

The new one doesn't look strong enough for this. This either means dock adapters are going to become mandatory, or accessory makers are going to have to make universal docks.

Not looking forward to that.

Hmmm, that's why there's a headphone jack on the bottom now. New connectors with have two sturdy things holding it in place. Even better than 30 pin.

I'm glad they are finally dropping the worst connector design in history.

really? worst connector design in history? That connector is also partly responsible for the biggest 3rd party accessory market on the planet. its sturdy and atleast for me indestructible. Everyone says "micro usb micro usb micro usb!" micro usb is GARBAGE. between me and my gf weve had like 5 microusb ports break on our mophie juicepacks. they are terrible. this new connector looks even more durable

Why are leaked photos always a tad blurry with poor lighting? It's like people take the photos with an old Nokia flip phone. Just something I've always wondered.

I was going to make the same comment!

Jeez, if I was in that position I would totally take clear, close-up, shots.

Assuming these pictures are taken at the manufacturing factory, it is very likely these people are under strict supervision and don't have the time to focus and find ideal lighting, and are probably using cheap camera phones to snap these shots when the opportunity arises.

I work at Disney World, where it is strictly forbidden to photograph any of the backstage/cast member-only areas, and there have been times where I've photographed some interesting things (ie: Cinderella smoking a cigarette, one of the girls who play Mickey Mouse with no head on) and a blurry picture is all I've gotten away with because I have to worry about all the security cameras, management, and even the snitches, and there's just no time or opportunity to create a better picture. I'm pretty sure these photo leakers are aware that a high quality photo fetches a bigger paycheck.

I guess the box will be a surprise. Better be good!

I wanna see if they updated the Apple Stickers that come with the gear. Maybe it will be metallic? Smaller, more streamlined? Maybe taller? Any leaks on those? :D

I was kinda hoping that they would have expanded the magsafe to the iphone and ipad...still looks good n small though.

I dont like the long white part after the adapter. Kinda like how it was on the older ipod cables before they slimmed it down. they should of slimmed this one down to start since thats kind of the whole reason for the new adapter.

maybe the inside of that part isnt just plastic? something like the thunderbolt cable that has more parts in it...

This one looked like it was taken on a leather couch or something.

Cinderella? Really? Is she really as hot as she looks in the parade? LOL!

man I want this iphone so bad! But i am still unclear as to which carrier to get it for!

In Purcellville, VA (The boonies and where I frequent for work), I get 3 bars of GSM from AT&T or 4 bars of LTE from Verizon. Easy choice for my area. ;)

The new connector is nice, better than the big wide one they have now, but I'll have to stock up on some extra cables.

Do dudes wear the Minnie Mouse costumes? I've often wondered this while taking a family picture with Minnie and 'she' has her arm around me. I'm not hating, just wondering if maybe it's a balding, short guy and not a hot 20 year old college girl.

It looks legit and the change to the plug certainly fits inline with Apple's hardware philosophy.
The only thing it looks like we'll be giving up is the strong catch the current 30 pin connector has which allows you to hang an iPhone upside down by the plug, if you want.

no, that's just a white version of Samsung's future data cable.

With every other phone out there using micro USB as well as all that Euro political stuff pushing that as standard i don't get why they don't just use that if they're gonna screw all their legacy add ons by switching the dock connecter anyway:mad:

MicroUSB is just that... USB... nothing else. Apple's connectors make way more than just USB available to docks/accessories.

As a side note, Mophie is a horrible company. I (as an external consultant) developed one of their enterprise accessories, and they screwed my company over.
Bad company, and bad (internal) engineers.

I just hope that they've upgraded the cable so that it can handle more power. The iPad 3 desperately needs a more powerful charger - it has a 20% bigger battery than the 11" MacBook Air yet a charger that can provide only 20% of the power that the MBA's can. As such it takes forever to charge.

This!

LOL, there dozens of girls who play Cinderella. Some are hot, and some are "okay". The hottest ones are usually the ones who play Princess Jasmine, in my opinion.

There is this one chick that dances at the castle during the show at Disney World. Wowee.

I'd like to show her a new white connector.

Exposed pins?

If this is the final design, those exposed pins look like trouble. I have a flash drive like that, gets covered in crud leading to unreliable connections. Have to treat these cables with kid gloves.

Same here. Do you find it a PitA to get it to re-establish itself once it gets in one of it's moods where it just won't sync? I will say, on my new iPad, I rarely ever have an issue, and when I do, it is easily resolved. My iPad 1 is a pain, but my iPhone 4 is downright evil, it seems, when it gets in that mood.

I've largely given up by now (this is a 4S syncing to my MBP). Sometimes it acts like it synced but the song didn't copy, other times it just doesn't do anything. Sometimes it works. A lot of times it tells me that iTunes can't connect to my iPhone for some reason. Fixing that usually involves...yep, plugging it into either the Mac or a wall.
