Yeah, because transmission isn’t a result of shopping at freaking Apple store in all likelihood. Transmission happens when families and friends are bored of lockdown, and gather in homes, apartments and exempt areas with no precautions.
I know, my point was that NY has avoided a second full lockdown because we’re not letting our guard down and the infection rate remains relatively low. And we’ve had a drop in hospitalizations twice in the last 3 days. We were supposed to peak in mid January, and at a higher point at that, so it’s a welcome surprise

The overall store experience is abysmal though. Apple has made buying their product almost an expectation you have to be in a certain social class. Ultimately this for the best but I think the in store experience could be handled better.

when I went purchase at my designated time I still ended up waiting one hour. The store employee who finally escorted me in was like, are you buying this today or wasting my time?

no chance to interact with the product. If that’s the case what’s the point? Hopefully by summer 2021 this is over and done with.

I find it amazing how some of the same people b*tching that this virus is being politicized...many (but not all) of those same people call it the “Trump virus”. Seen how Europe’s doing lately? Is it the Trump virus over there too? The US isn’t the only country in bad shape right now. Shocking, I know. The fact that people have managed to take a WORLDWIDE problem and put blame on one man...is godda**ed astounding to me.
Wait - who has called it the 'Trump virus'? That's an insult to the virus. 😆

But seriously - turn off the Newsmax for a minute. People on all sides are tired of Trump's constant denials, deflections and blaming others throughout the pandemic. That's what did him in. Had he acted presidential or at least somewhat sympathetic to the plight of those suffering, I don't think as many people would have been so frustrated with his response (and nor would we have lost anywhere near 300k people so far). Who knows? We could have probably balanced keeping more of the economy functioning, had Trump himself simply issued clearer guidelines and support for those guidelines.

Despite what you might think - crises are incredibly easy opportunities for a leader to succeed. Unity out of fear is practically served on a silver platter. All people wanted was a unified, responsible federal approach with a leader who cared. Instead, we got a reality TV star / con artist who is very good at selling good news - but terrible at handling bad news. And that showed during this crisis. He simply couldn't put the ego aside for the sake of America.

Given the family track record of bankrupt casinos, failed hotels, and other phony brands that scammed millions of dollars of people's hard-earned income...is it any surprise that this turned out for America the way it did?

As for the Apple stores closing: people are missing the point if they think that the transmissions are likely to happen in the actual store. It's more about limiting movement and giving people one less excuse to have to go somewhere, and then Apple benefits from the PR of looking like it's taking extra precaution.

Yeah, so a Apple stores should be open? Glad we agree and Trump would agree too.

But masks work, don’t they?
Just wear a mask and everything will be okay, right?
I get that this is a highly contagious virus and CAN be deadly, but c’mon folks. >99.95% survival rate.
How many more suicides and livelihoods destroyed have been a result of this? Not to mention trafficking is up, divorce is up, drug & alcohol use is up...
But just for two weeks, right? Two weeks to flatten the curve...
Your facts are idiotically incorrect. The death rate globally is 2.2%. The U.S. death rate is 1.9%.

Tesla Cars, Apple computers, the best space program, the smartest engineers, and pretty much every social media platform you run. Oh yeah, and it’s America, which is the best country to live in, period.
Buahahahaa!! Whatever you took, I want some, must be a hell of a trip to feel good. Tesla... have you actually driven one? It's a piece of junk. The noise level in the car at 65mph is louder than a Ferrari at over 190mph. Quality control is really bad. Apple computers are build in China, nice try. Best space program? How exactly do they get "up there", oh right, by using non-US rockets. Except for a few non-exploding ones Elon is building. Smartest engineers? Where, when was the last time you actually were visiting Silicon Valley and other leading tech-companies throughout the world? I'd have a very close look at peoples nationality there. The US is probably the worlds biggest ******** right now, except maybe for North Korea. Perfect example of why the whole world is laughing at the US and everyone is convinced it's a country full of delusional idiots.

I am usually silent with these threads because when I tried to voice my option on other forums I got a temporary ban but this lockdown and mask crap is BS. Masks protect nothing. Matter of fact Covid is not more dangerous than the flu, but I have many mental scars because of this forced lockdown, mask wearing people as I now suffer from Maskaphobia and other bad habits because of social distancing crap which does nothing either.

Then I got to hear from these brainwashed populous to do this and that to prevent nothing. Nothing should have been lockdown or closed including schools ruining kids and teenager educations. All events, concerts and even the Olympics should have gone on without instant. What these quack scientists don't understand is two simple words "herd immunity".

A real pandemic kills millions or billions like lets say 99% of the population. This political pandemic kills what less than 1% of the population and most survive fine. But now the flu kills the same, but they don't close down hundreds of stores because one person has the flu or entire concerts, events, schools for that. This is all a political ploy, so we lose our freedoms.

Folks, the best virologists and epidemiologists couldn’t figure out the COVID-19 pandemic, but this MacRumors Forums poster has. Thank goodness.
Whenever a forum user with a clear lack of education shows up on a forum and claims the worlds smartest people got it all wrong, I'm like...

I don’t even believe the death toll number attributed to the virus. I think it would be too easy to state the cause of death as the virus versus another condition that is also present.

Here is a number that can’t be as easily faked — the total death count for the year. Every year 2.5 - 3M people in the US die. What will that number be for 2020? That is the number I want to see.

Pretty much everyone I know are effected by this economically.

0 people I know who are effected by this health wise.
Well lucky you. Except for all the hospitals that are full to overflowing. But I do have it on good authority that no one should wear a mask, it’s a tin foil hat that offers protection

Life is normal here in Australia. Because of masks and lockdowns in the beginning. Seriously, you Americans are the worst. Too selfish to put on a mask to protect your fellow citizens. You’re still mired in your first wave.
And let’s not forget an administration that wanted us all to get infected. Hard to believe, but true, they just got the emails to prove it
