Wait - who has called it the 'Trump virus'? That's an insult to the virus. 😆
But seriously - turn off the Newsmax for a minute. People on all sides are tired of Trump's constant denials, deflections and blaming others throughout the pandemic. That's what did him in. Had he acted presidential or at least somewhat sympathetic to the plight of those suffering, I don't think as many people would have been so frustrated with his response (and nor would we have lost anywhere near 300k people so far). Who knows? We could have probably balanced keeping more of the economy functioning, had Trump himself simply issued clearer guidelines and support for those guidelines.
Despite what you might think - crises are incredibly easy opportunities for a leader to succeed. Unity out of fear is practically served on a silver platter. All people wanted was a unified, responsible federal approach with a leader who cared. Instead, we got a reality TV star / con artist who is very good at selling good news - but terrible at handling bad news. And that showed during this crisis. He simply couldn't put the ego aside for the sake of America.
Given the family track record of bankrupt casinos, failed hotels, and other phony brands that scammed millions of dollars of people's hard-earned income...is it any surprise that this turned out for America the way it did?
As for the Apple stores closing: people are missing the point if they think that the transmissions are likely to happen in the actual store. It's more about limiting movement and giving people one less excuse to have to go somewhere, and then Apple benefits from the PR of looking like it's taking extra precaution.
