A 5" iPhone would be too big. Like I said, Moto X sized would be perfect. That means a smaller screen than that phone to accommodate the space-wasting home key.

I hope Apple makes the iPhone 6 in two sizes. A 4" and a 4,7" for those that need a bigger screen. I would still go with the 4", unless Apple finds a way to make a bigger phone usable with one hand.
There is also a fragmentation issue here. What resolution would a bigger iPhone have? What about all existing apps? How would they run? How easy would it be to develop for a bigger iPhone and all older models? I think this is the biggest problem here.

I didn't at first and then i got a note 3 one you use an oversized phone its hard to go back.

We're talking reality, as hard as that may be to comprehend for those who allow Apple to do their thinking for them.

Why is it that preferring a smaller screen means someone is incapable of thinking? People have reasons for what they prefer, as hard as that may be to comprehend.

Because most people are just going to upgrade to a larger display when Apple makes it.

People say **** about how Steve Jobs would never do it, how Apple would never do it, how there's no marketshare, how people only use iPhones with one hand, how other phones are too big.

...

Then Apple does it and everyone shuts up.

I live in a major US city(not stating for security reasons) but I hardly ever see people with them now and when I do it is people who don't know how to use new tech

Security reasons ?!?
Are you afraid someone could reach your home based on your forum id ???

If Apple will release a 5" iPhone 6 I'm probably going to buy it, since I need a new smartphone and I'm not going to use any Android phone as my primary smartphone.
But I won't be happy ....

If phones aren't being made with smaller screens and updated tech what choice do people have?

What choice do iOS users have? Maybe 95% of the current user base would love to buy a 5" screen iPhone.

Also there simply is an undeniable demand for large screen phones. Look at the note which is selling quite well. Specially in Asia people are preferring larger screens because their phones might be their only computing device.

Now you can say the 4" iPhone is the best sold
Smartphone on earth. True - but maybe a lot of people are buying an iPhone despite their display size and not because of. One would need surveys to know that.

On the other hand I know a lot of people
Who bought a galaxy s3/s4 because of the nice, big display. There are many people like this so why should apple leave this lucrative market sektor without fighting? There are also 2 different iPad sizes because - you know- different strokes for different folks.

I'm not denying the demand and desire for a larger screened iPhone, I just want there to remain a 4, maybe 4.5" screen option for those of us that prefer a smaller, more pocketable and usable with 1 hand device.

Bitcvh and whine all you want but a larger screen iPhone 6 is coming. People will buy it just as they did going from the 4 to the 5 and 5S. It is fact:eek:

Time to wake up. It's neither an oversized display or a fad. We're talking reality, as hard as that may be to comprehend for those who allow Apple to do their thinking for them.

I hate to see such a good company live in denial for years on end while foisting off demure little phones on the unsuspecting public. :)

No one does my thinking for me...Ever. I just don't like wider larger phones and will stay away from them and keep my 4 inch as long as possible if Apple ever does go way larger. Larger perhaps with the same form factor is do-able, but 5 inches or larger like some Android and its a no go for me. But the guy above who thinks Apple is thinking for me, should get a grip on common sense when he makes a dumb remark like that in bold..

Live in denial ? Perhaps you have not seen the sales number. They don't follow anyone but the market numbers.

A larger display doesn't mean an ugly device like a Note.
Moto X and HTC One has a larger display and still are beautiful smartphones. Galaxy S4 is a piece of crappy plastic oversized smartphone and Galaxy Note isn't a smartphone at all ...

I'd like to have a slightly bigger screen on my iPhone 6, but I still want to carry it around comfortably.

We'll maybe you need to see your way around the streets of some major cities then instead of cow country. Bt headsets are alive and well. Also it's what you notice or not.

Unless they had moved international airports to cow countries, major cities are actually where do I belong.
And people using BT headsets are a minority ....

People who used by headsets were always in the minority. I have two myself along with car hands free. I can't stand walking and holding the phone to my ear.

A lot of delivery, livery and taxi drivers use them, from the get go they were always the biggest users.

Outside of the us excluding canada, maybe a different story. However in north America to use a blanket statement isn't true.

Oh no. If they go any bigger than 5' and don't have smaller options, I'll be pretty peeved. I am probably in a small niche here but I like my phablet to be Android. I chose an iPhone as my work device because of its smaller size. There is no way I'm going to keep around 2 humongous phones....

It's just a trend that manufactures market as a must have feature to sell phones, although useful we don't need PHONES to so huge. I currently use the iPhone 5 and although 5 inch phone would be welcomed to be honest I just don't find myself wishing the screen was bigger whenever I use my phone.

that is a weird asssumption to make. Phones like the Note are simply succesful. So if larger phones are succesful its due to marketing but the iPhone is succesful because it is the right formfactor?

That is kind of a double standard dont you think?

I for one would welcome a bigger phone with larger resolution. Not only can the battery life be improved, but also a bigger screen allows the operating system to do more stuff and evolve.

I don't know, its probably just a MacRumors thing but most people don't care that much.

I don't know why people get angry at random stuff.

Why yes actually, you are miraculously the only person to feel this way! Amazing isnt it?!
