The difference in hygiene and appearance in the post apocalyptic world between the sexes at least in some cases? Spencer Monroe looked pretty sharp until he found himself on the pointy end of sharp. ;) As I look back on colonial times, I think shaving and hair cutting might be a burden. I assume in the P-AW, that razors, and scissors could come up in short supply. I imagine in reality, many of the women would be wearing their hair longer, and their underarms and legs, would be on the bushy side but would this do for network TV? :)

My son refused to watch a show (I can't remember the name, but the one where all the power went out), because the characters didn't look dirty enough. I just want some uniformity. It was so nice when the first got to Alexandria and Rick got a shave and a haircut.

Personal hygiene really is personal. The Appalachian Trail thru-hiking community is a microcosm of this phenomenon. Some hikers are meticulously groomed for their 6 month trek, and others look like soap and water were nowhere to be found. I let my hair and beard go, but I washed daily...

I can't remember the name either, but I watched an episode or two and could not get into it.

Sounds like Revolution.

Was that a sabatical? :) 6 months to hike from one end to the other? What kind of shower facilities did the trail have, or were you jumping into streams and taking craps in the woods with leaves for wiping? ;) I'll attest that taking dumps in the woods is not my favorite thing. ;)

Yes, I took a leave of absence from work.

You hit a trail town every 5-7 days where you can shower, resupply, etc.

Every 8-15 miles there is a shelter with a privy. Carry your own toilet paper...

Thanks for the info. I made several day trip hiking the AT in my youth as a Boy Scout , and relative young adulthood in the Maryland and West Va vicinity. I've always felt close to nature, but rarely get the time I want to frolick in it. I envy the heck out of my brother who is a bachelor and is out hiking all the time, but he spends most time in the NE, and once a year in Alaska.

totally disagree. you are not understanding the story line from what i can tell.

I usually skip the boring parts of a story when I read some. Like the Carl or Michonne scenes were dull and full of emotions. I skipped those scenes and later on I stopped watching. I don't what progress the story has made may I'll start watching again with a pile of episodes to watch.

Yes. No I am not kidding. First episode of the season 7 was great but 2 3 episodes after it was dull.

My impression Kevin is that you're only interest seems to be action, and that's ok, but my counter argument ;) is that this show has plenty of action balanced by human survival morality, and impacted by human relationships and loss. I don't want shallow and one dimensional action. I'm sure you've noticed the zombies are just the side show. I want a full story, and all of these elements are an important part of this most excellent story. Btw, the parts you find boring are probably why this show is going stronger than ever into it's eight season.

Yes you can say that, I do follow story but when it hooks me up like with the Glenn and Carol where I wanted to know what'd happen next to them. I left watching where Negan came to visit Alexandria, I couldn't get the time to watch it though.

More like a great season opener and mid-season finale that sandwiches six mediocre episodes. TWD is recycling LOST's Season 3 with "The Others."

I will continue to watch as long as they don't kill me.

Wait! Do I count you in TWD or GOT? :p I haven't watched Lost so I don't know. I think you'd be dead by the season's end. :D

Both.

I'm related to Tywin, Tyrion, Jaime, and Cersei. The long lost brother from another mother. That's if I don't moonlight as a Brad Garrett and Javier Bardem look-alike during times I shave.

Negan and the Lannisters are the best characters for their respective shows. Negan and the Dixon brothers are my Top 3 for TWD. Without Tyrion or Negan, I wouldn't watch either show anymore. But the coolest actor from either show is easily Norman Reedus...

If based on the comics, I doubt Negan will be dead by season's end. He already showed a ton of mercy towards Rick's crew while several of his men have died. He should've killed Carl, Rosita, and Eugene. They might put him in Morgan's jail first. The Whisperers seems far more dangerous than the Saviors.

Would love if the writers make Negan the hero at the end but he probably dies but not likely in Season 7 as he is well-received by many fans in both comics and TV show. I see it happen more by the end of Season 8. He is that likeable, popular antagonist similar to The Joker and Darth Vader that shouldn't be killed this soon.

I don't follow comics so I have no clue about that. Negan is just playing the cards over Rick to keep him vulnerable. Daryl and Glenn are the two characters I watch the show. Pics look cool though (y)

I don't read TWD's comics and GoT's books. I like to keep myself in suspense with both shows and not outlines for future episodes. But several fans on sites say that Negan hasn't died yet in the comics. And the Whisperers are far more scary than the Saviors.

Agreed, they are just flat out brutal! It is like Kirkman is going past the gutter of civilization and giving us people who, to some degree, would be considered individuals who have lost all lines of humanity. Makes you wonder who we are going to see next!
