It's still a valid complaint even if it doesn't cross the threshold of unacceptability. I don't have any USB-C chargers, but that is the cable this will come with. I only have 5-watt chargers, but that's changing too. That's two changes happening while simultaneously dropping the charger and now there's a price increase on top of it.

Just because it's not my breaking point, it doesn't mean I don't have a valid criticism. I have a breaking point, I hope Apple never finds it for me.

This was a response to a now deleted post. It said something like, "why complain if you then give Apple your money anyway?"

Uhm idk why people are mad, this is apple, they do that all the time, give less, charge more.

Seems abit cheeky hiking the price
Then removing items such as Lightening cable and Adapter and the EarPods

what if some of us have had there previous iPhones for the last 4 years like myself have.... 🤦🏻‍♀️

The point is I don’t want to plug old tatty stuff into my new iPhone I want it fresh sealed with a new phone as I’m sure many others will aswell

If there removed then the iPhone will have to come down to match and compensate the prices of the missing accessories 😈

Fanbois just got one of their key justifications for removing the charger and EarPods taken from them.

Guess it’s “muh environment” or nothing from here on out.

Know what’s even better for the environment? Not releasing 4 new phones every 12 months.
And making the existing phones more easily serviceable to extend their life.

Never ceases to amaze me at all the people currently mad at Apple OVER RUMORS!

Jeez people: save your anger when facts come out. Right now all this is rumor and supposition.

No-one except senior Apple leadership knows exactly what’s going to happen come September. Anything you read or see until has just as much chance as being bogus as it does being right.

We now return you back to your regular scheduled spleen venting at Apple.

Accepted by consumers? I guess for those that have jobs. But for a lot of people in the country, and the world for that matter, things look very different this year. And probably next year too.

Buy the charger you want 29W. 20W or higher. Chargers and ear Pods are a thing of the past unfortunately. Its too bad Apple doesn't value its loyal customers as we value Apple.

I think if Apple increase base specs model pretty significant, it would turn going ballistic people less mad, e.g. base configuration should be 128 GB across model, 6GB LPDDR4X like iPad Pro to justify price hike.

Nothing past the iPhone 8 adds anything worth spending money on to me. I could afford a high end new phone, but I see nothing new that's worth anything in newer phones. It seems like madness or foolishness that so many people spend so much on recent phones.

I stopped buying new products from Apple around 2014. I haven't recommended an Apple product to a friend in years. I'm waiting for Apple to stop being so anti-consumer... maybe whoever Cook gets replaced with will restore some sanity to Apple's pricing/value proposition.
I haven't bought any in a long time, but the alternatives aren't any better. Just not excited about their new stuff, a little annoyed at their pettiness too.

That's what the SE is for.

Its just bad optics, I don't really care about the charger or EarPods but if Apple were smart they would have launched the phone at ~$25 less than the previous model and said "See, we didn't charge you for them!".

Fully agree. Charging more for less is not a good move and difficult to justify even if the phone hardware has been improved.
I was planning to buy a new iPhone this year, but will now wait and see whether I can use my current phone for another year. If I end up buying the new iPhone nevertheless, I will certainly not buy any accessories from Apple, but other companies.
