Do we have a reliable leak about how much ram it will have? I haven't seen one but maybe I missed it....

We never get leaks on ram. Apple makes us wait until the first break down a few days or a week later. Have absolutely no idea why they don't. We are going to find out anyway.

There is a rumor of the s7 mini which is supposed to be 4.6" Snapdragon 820. Looks like a powerful small phone. Really hoping for 2gb ram on the SE but if not, I'll consider the s7m

I'm more than thinking about it, I'm going to get it on day one. I had an iPhone 5 for 2 yrs and loved it, it still worked perfectly up to the day I sold it, kept a case on it all the time so it was brand new. I got the 6s basically to get back on contract with Verizon to keep my unlimited and to avoid the extra $20.00 a month, so I've had the 6s for about 5 months and I can't wait to get the iPhone 5SE.

The main things I hate about the 6s are the power button on the side, I never realized how much I would hate it until using it in the real world. I am constantly either turning it on by mistake or turning it off by mistake. For example, I'm watching a u tube video and I wanted to turn up the volume so while doing that I inadvertently turned off the phone argh!!, pulling the phone out of my pocket or putting it into my pocket has turned on the phone by mistake. The power button directly across the volume buttons just isn't working for me.

The other main thing for me is the 6s is just too tall, I love the wider aspect and the 4.7 screen is really nice but I can't get use to how taller it is from my iphone 5. Because of the tallness of the 6s I have literally caught myself almost dropping the phone several times and yes I have a spigen case on it, it's not the slippery ness it's the height of the phone.

The only negative for me with the SE will be that it might only come with 64 GB and I am currently using 128 GB so I'm going to have to downgrade to a lower space and I've got lots of music so I'm going to have to condense my music down which I'm not happy about doing since I'm a huge music listener and want all my music with me at all times.

Since what we know indicates the 5SE will use the same size sim card as the 6s, I can swap out my unlimited sim card between phones and still keep my existing data plan. So I'm really looking forward to getting the 5SE in space gray.

Just trying to decide if i want the smaller screen again or not. If I really do, then it'll be worth it to get the SE and not get the 7. However, I just think when the 7 comes out I'll want it no matter what....
But if I like the smaller size it shouldn't matter what the 7 is like. Just have to decide if I really want the 4 inch or not. Right now id probably say no. I've gotten attached to my 6, and really like it. Will see on Monday. Might change my mind (I do that a lot with gadgets lol)

I'm not sure why I'm so hung up on ram but if it's 1gb, I'd be more inclined to watch real world reviews before I buy. If 2gb, I'll most likely buy day or week 1.

I feel the same way, not sure why but for some reason it's a sticking point. While 1gb of ram might be passable on the 5se... if it doesn't have 2gb of ram I'll simply stick with my 6s.

You've been saying that on numerous occasions throughout this thread ie. if the SE has this or that, you might buy it.

But putting words aside, the odds are I suspect you wind up with the 7 at the end of the day.

Yep, I think so too.

But if the 7 retains the big bezels on top and bottom (which it most likely will) I don't see the point of waiting for the 7 it's still going to be too tall and out of portion.

It's supposed to be the same design as the 6 except for the antenna bands and bigger camera lens. That's one reason I'm considering the SE cause the 7 doesn't seem all that exciting.

Well I can tell you 2GB of ram really gave the 6s a huge boost over the iPhone 5 but to be honest I'm not 100% convinced that is due to the 2GB of ram or the effectiveness of the A9 chip. The page reloading in Safari is non existent on the 6s.

Just thought of this: how will the SE have Live Photos if it doesn't have 3D Touch??? Maybe it will have 3D Touch after all...

There was a rumor a while ago, claiming that the SE release would lead to Apple cutting the price of the 5S in half.

I doubt this. No, I seriously doubt this.. But if it were to happen I'd be really interested. The 5S was a great phone, and I miss it.

I would argue that it's not the least bit pointless if around a quarter of the market prefers a 4". I'm going from a 5s to the SE because I don't like the size of the 6/s. My parents prefer 4". My roommate prefers 4". There's still a large market for it.

But you don't know (and Apple doesn't either) how large the market is for people that want small screen iphones. Everyone on a small screen iPhone isn't sticking with it because they like the screen size, some use it because that is the cheapest iphone. Not everyone buys the top of the line flagship phone. Some people buy used or older phones to save money and the only old/cheap iphones are small screens.

Any 4.7" users thinking about the iPhone SE?

Nope, not thinking about it... doing it.

If it has the A9 chip, 2GB of RAM, decent battery life, and doesn't cost more than $450 I'll consider it. I have $85 for purchases for the Apple Store so it will cost me the same as a mediocre Android phone. Otherwise no.

I was a staunch supporter of the smaller size. I stuck with my 5S through the 6 but when the 6S came out I bit the bullet and upgraded to the larger size. Now I am not so sure I could go back. I have gotten used to the bigger screen and can do most things one handed. Plus I don't know if I could go without 3D Touch now.

For me 3D Touch is not a must have feature, I would prefer to have Live Photos over 3D Touch.

Also remember that the SE will not have the haptic feedback bar that is in the 6s there is no room for it. That feature will be for the 6s and plus.

Same. I also loved the 4" and said I'd never switch, but i eventually did and also am not sure if I could switch; I can use mine one handed pretty easily, too. I'm really excited for tomorrow to see what this 4" SE ends up being.

The same way the all devices without 3D Touch allow you to view Live Photos. Just tap and hold.
Ah ok, didn't know exactly how they worked on other devices. Sounds good.

i agree, 3D Touch is cool but certainly not a must have feature for me, I would rather have live photos, they are really a neat feature IMO
