Lmfao Knliebe you are absolutely ridiculous. Maybe you should get into anger management or just stop taking drugs. Good lord.

----------

You probably sent 5 emails in 2 minutes probably right after you said you would give them 12 more hours.

This is the reason I dislike ales's reply. It is just unfair to post these details and seems an attempt to discredit knliebe and change the focus of the discussion.
At least they could put it in a funny way: "we failed at communicating because we needed to answer to knliebe!".

I'd settle for ONE picture of an iPhone 6 or 6+, in one of their new cases. No Photoshops, no renderings, no BS.

This thread has almost 13,000 views and over 200 posts. You mean to tell me that, with all of the "product" they're purportedly shipping, there isn't ONE individual out there that has received a new Calypso Case?

Just one?

Not to mention the fact that CalypsoCrystal chose to put itself into the luxury brand niche by its own choosing. If they were selling $30 iPhone cases then people would surely cut them some more slack [not that they deserve it]. However, when you advertise your company as one of the premier makers of high end luxury iPhone cases then you better deliver. On their website they say things like "Discover true luxury customer service.", they assign serial numbers for iPhone cases to make it feel special and limited, they give you certificates of authenticity to make you think people want to counterfeit the case, etc. They do all of those things by their own choosing, trying to mask themselves as a HIGH END LUXURY brand, which they are clearly not. Do other high end brands not deliver on taking a photo of their main product for over a month? No. Do other brands keep making excuses about shipping delays? Nope.

Its one thing to have huge demand, as Apple does with an iPhone every year -- but part of being a true company and high end brand is managing the DEMAND and expectations. If they have HUGE DEMAND then they should raise the shipping times for cases, not LOWER them as they did recently. Multiple times their own employees have PROMISED it would ship by a certain date, and to this date, it never has.

Thats why people are upset. They got convinced this was a good brand selling a luxury case, and after 6 weeks they found out what they really were dealing with.

----------

Also:

THREE weeks ago you guys sent an email with Serial Numbers saying the case is "looking great" and "we're just putting the final touches on it". That leads everyone to believe that its almost finished, right? So now three weeks later, you're here trying to justify delays when the case was supposedly almost finished three weeks ago? If you're making these things "one at a time" then why did every single person with an order get their serial number at the same time? Seems hard to make everyones case, assign everyones serial number, and almost be finished with everyones case… all at the exact same moment in time. [and this was 3 weeks ago…]. Maybe the marketing manager can explain that.

Very well put and I agree on all counts (deserves quote)

Not only is the CS subpar regarding information, but airing out a certain customers email count AND responses was in very poor taste and is very telling

I already received my refund, but If I was still waiting I would cancel upon reading that post. This is business not personal, if we the customer hand over money whether it is a pre-order or not it is the sellers job to meet the agreed upon terms of sale

Here I thought the sudden spike in posts meant that Calypso finally posted a pic of the "cabrio" haha. What happened to cases that were supposed to be sent TODAY, anyone get their notification?

It speaks volumes when the Cofounder and Marketing Manager of a company comes and posts a useless attack on one of their [former] customers, and then immediately goes into hiding again... without addressing their multiple other customers, whom are still waiting for their case to ship or a photo of the product they paid $150 for 7+ weeks ago.

I guess thats the "luxury customer service" from the "Calypsocase personal assistants" that they were talking about on their website.

Although I didn't order one I have to chime in. I have purchased cases from them before. Every time I had the case in my hand I was amazed by the quality of the leather. No other case, Vaja included, has leather like they do. I am sure that they would want nothing other than to have all of you get your cases. Actually following this thread I feel for all of you. For those that ordered I can guarantee you it will be worth your wait. Get something for the meantime and you will be grateful. I would order one but just too much for me. Kids you know!! With that that's why these forums exist. To vent, to express our anger, it gets us through it all. You will get your cases and love them. I would be complaining with you all. Just my two cents.

I appreciate your post. I'm sure there are people waiting patiently who appreciate it as well. I'd like to believe that what you say will come to fruition. But I'm thinking I'll stand a better chance of seeing God before I see one of Calypso's cases.

Any update from the people who's case was supposed to be shipped out yesterday?

Yup I am interested to know this as well. I ordered 5 weeks ago now [later than most people] and Manca their customer service representative guaranteed my order would forsure ship out by the end of this past Tuesday. So anyone whom ordered sooner than me should definitely have had theirs shipped by now.

Remember to post some pictures of the paris glory cabrio when it arrives, with a gold iphone if possible :)

That was the case that I originally had ordered too :( Any word from Calypso lately? They seem to be missing in action ever since Ales came here... Maybe they know their game is up and nobody is believing their stories anymore? Dunno. They haven't posted on Facebook or anywhere in over a week now.

It wouldn't be the first time a company with a previously good reputation decided to close up shop and make off with the cash box.

I have not. Manca asked me to wait for the beginning of this upcoming week. My Plan "B" Vaja case came in and I'm not happy with it....it's going back. I'm hoping that Calypso gets their production issues solved and start moving these out. Meanwhile picked up the Apple Midnight Blue leather case today.

Unfortunately thats seems to be their favorite line: "Your order will be shipped at the end of this week or in the beginning of next one for sure" -- thats the response that I received twice from them... and it never happened either time. Just one of their many delaying tactics.

I think I got that same Vaja. I'm quite pleased with it, but mine doesn't have that large line that yours does.

They told me it was a natural leather vein. It's not and I stopped arguing with them after 4 photos and several emails. I'll lose the shipping but at least I'm not stuck with it. Will not be ordering from Vaja again. Have my fingers crossed in the Calypso Cabrio case.

You aren't the first person to complain about their customer service. They seem to really like to explain away faults and differences with excuses about the imperfections of real leather. None of the cases I've seen in pictures are quite the same shade as they were on the website. The real things tend to be darker, sometimes much darker. For making "luxury" cases they should try to get their pictures a little more accurate and show a little more concern when a customer has an issue. In my opinion, a large part of offering luxury goods is the customer service aspect. It's important to fully stand behind a product and offer 100% satisfaction guarantees. It can be the difference between losing a sale and losing a customer for life.

Mine is definitely darker and more red than what's in the picture, but I like it. I'm glad I'm not going to have to deal with them on a return.

The calypso was also on my list of options. It's going to be great, but I'm just too impatient to wait.

I had a similar experience with them when I received my Vaja Grip and emailed them about it not having the raised edges / lip that was seen in the photos on their website and product page. First the customer service told me that it wasn't supposed to have one because it wouldn't be functional or aesthetical -- then eventually they said it wouldn't help even if there was one anyway -- then finally when I disputed the charge they took it back. They are very stubborn.

Has anyone heard anything from Calypso within the last week or so? I couldn't wait any longer, I had to get a refund.

Nothing, they basically stopped posting anything once Ales came here and posted. Dunno what's up with them. I may order if they ever do come out and have good reviews... But because all of their bogus stories and excuses about supposedly shipping them out everyday I would say it's safer to get a refund and wait to see what happens. They are a very small company and have funded most of their other cases through a kickstarter style campaign, which means they likely don't have much capital / money available... What I fear is that if enough people request refunds the case may simply be killed off and never created.
