it is if its not the actual color of a blush. its not exactly gold. the band is nice though
I had the Gold 7 Plus, it was ok, but I prefer space grey for all of my iDevices now.

I see Gold watches, Gold necklaces, Gold rings, Gold ear rings on various men of various ages often.
Oh, undoubtedly. Literally ALL their marketing has been for the gold, even down to the invitation to the launch event. It makes no sense that they’d usher customers towards the colour for which they have least supply.
Gold color seems to resemble 8+
Stainless steel band is a rich gold too bad the back is a copper gold and not true gold
The gold band with cream back looks great to me. Will be my third gold iPhone if you count one rose gold. The other colors are awesome too, though.
Edit: I do plan on casing it so it's part of the lure. Flashier colors look cool as subtle accents popping from beneath the case. Here, I imagine the gold will look great peeking out of a black or brown leather case.

The gold frame is nice but the glass is more of cream/nude color, which I don't like. For that reason I'll be ordering the silver Max.
Does anybody get tired of the ‘can guys own gold products’ question that pops up every year? If you think blokes can’t buy a gold iPhone then the issue lies with you, not them.
its just a preference of color. I dont like the muted gold it doesn't look right to me its besides the point if its masculine my eyes just dont like it. id prefer a darker color more like the band. its to creamy off white gold to me. Id want bold and darker
Man, how did you get the 21st delivery, ordering so late?? For me it was showing the 28th in the afternoon. Then I ordered a few hours ago and it said the 5th. So I did store pickup on the 21st instead.

Same thing happened in the Apple Watch forum when the rose gold Apple Watch launched and then the rose gold iPhone. It’s just a color, I think some are way too fixated on what others will think about a certain color, when it shouldn’t matter, it’s no different than thinking what color car someone choose based on what gender. All that matters is what you like as you said.

the "gold" back on the 8 looked like dirty nicotine stained white. The metals side might be OK, the gold Watch looks fine but the gold iPads always looked a bit "Fools Gold".

The gold was an instant sale.
When I saw the rumors of gold, I thought "Yeah, what kind of tint in the gold. If it's like they did with rose, no thanks." The renders looked good, but you can't always trust with that specificity...

I have the stainless steel space grey iPhone X and I can confirm it is still in perfect condition, I regularly use without a case and I have no peeling issues.
I've been torn about what leather case to use with the gold Max. I have a saddle brown on my silver X and I can see where you would prefer that on the gold too. I've ordered the black as well as the cape cod blue to try and choose one but maybe I should go back to saddle brown again.
I'm really intrigued by the Gold XS Max. One of my causes of hesitation is that I'm a slightly OCD about matching and don't want the gold SS AW Series 4.
I have the Gold and I like it. And yes, it can look a different shade depending on the light. It looks much better than the Rose Gold model did.
I wanted a change from the usual Space gray and I am glad Apple offered Gold this year, instead of Rose Gold again.
