Hey everyone, I noticed there aren’t as many Roblox players on this sub as I’d like, so I thought I’d create a thread here.

I know many folks enjoy Roblox on their phones, like iPhones and iPads, but I mainly play it on my MacBook Pro.

It’s got better performance, a better chip, and no lag/crashes when I’m playing those heavy-render games.

If you’re Mac users who play Roblox, please share your favorite games and your settings in the comments!

I’ll kick things off with the Games I usually play on Roblox:
Flee the facility
Bee swarm simulator
Super bomb survival
Destroy the neighborhood
Ant war
Theme park tycoon
Mega hide and seek, hide and seek extreme
Doomspire brickbattle and its non-cooldown version
Mega noob simulator.

Not trying to sound negative or rag on your post, but when I visit the grand kids, they show me the Roblox games they are playing to get me to play and I tell then no thanks. Instead, I talk them up to something more interesting, but those are more involved difficult games or how about good ‘ole Minecraft, on creative of course? :) My granddaughter played a game, that to own in-game property, you had to spend time in a game store in the game, selling stuff to other players. The property was nothing to write home about and generally speaking the graphics in these games are cruder than I’m used to.

Its more of a kids game, where as the demographics of MacRumors is adult, probably well beyond 20 something adult. My point is that I don't think this game appeals to the general population of MR - I could be wrong but that's my take.

My kids played roblox when they were younger - loved it, but now that they're 20, its not something they really do.

That’s right! I agree. And I’m not going to get too political, but I’ve heard that countries like Russia and Algeria have banned Roblox because it doesn’t have enough protections for younger players and privacy laws. Even with Roblox putting so much filters and restrictions for players who are younger, it still gets out of hand with the privacy settings they get around with and especially since they allow players to curse or say bad words in higher age rating games (which requires verification before they can play games that are 17+ maturity rating).

I’ve also noticed that many Roblox games make you pay for a lot of in-game items. The removal of Tix and the switch to Robux as the only currency has made developers focus more on making money and tricking people into paying for VIPs, small upgrades, and other things with Robux instead of in-game currency earned by playing.

I’ve taken breaks from playing for a few years at a time because I have a lot of responsibilities like working internships with NASA and the state, and school (I’m now doing online engineering classes). I mostly only play Roblox when my younger brother asks me to. But when I have my AutoCAD certification exam next week, I’ll have to say no to him to make me play games like making a cake or goofy gods.

I get it! We’ve got folks of all ages here. I’ve been playing since I was little, and my family—siblings and cousins—have been playing with me ever since. They introduced me to some great games, like Super Bomb Survival and Super Doomspire. And classics like Work in a Pizza Place. Even though I’ve been playing Roblox for years, I still enjoy it now and then, on my MacBook Pro, using some VIP game passes I couldn’t afford to lose.
