This is my wife's 6s. Sometimes I don't even seen it, and other times it's like... what the heck is that? If you sit back a little from your computer, you'll probably more easily see it. In person it's a lot worse, of course. Either way, not exactly acceptable, (and that's irrespective of the yellowing around the edges etc).

If you can't see it, sit back a little, and it's a streak/blob in the top third of the screen going left to right - all the way across the screen. In person, it's so noticeable I've no idea how quality control let it through.

My iPhone 6s has a slightly darker, shadowed area in the upper left corner of the screen; definitely noticeable on an all-white screen, and now that I've seen it, I can't un-see it. I'll likely try to have it exchanged, but I'm also wondering if this is similar to the yellow patches some folks saw the past few years, which had to do with an adhesive that needed to dry, and which resolved on their own?

I'm afraid most of them do, and I've seen about 10 already. But they do vary by degree so hopefully you get one slightly less.

I just came home from the Apple Store and I can confirm your statement. My original 6s+ also had the pressure point, and I came to exchange it (more for battery issue then this) and I inspected all the 6s+ demos, and all of them seem to have it to some degree.

Some were more noticeable while others were very faint but still there. The 6s demos did not have this.

Now I hope, aside from the battery issue fixed, that my replacement has a very slight faint instead of a noticeable one on my original.

This is very common with the 6 looks like the 6S now too. All of my 7 iPhone 6's have had this to some degree whether it's a darker upper left/right quadrant/corner or some shadowing with dark smudges or a color temperature shift that goes from a warmer yellowish white to a cool blue left to right. It's most noticeable on white backgrounds and this very forum. I think has to do with the nature of the LCD's some are better or far worse than others. Hard to find a perfect one. Hopefully they go to OLED on the iPhone 7.

I have an issue where the live wall paper isn't working. Figuring it's just a software issue, called apple support and they had me do a few different kinds of resets. No dice. She then had me do a remote diagnostics and said I had a hardware issue and they have to do an exchange. Charged me a full price hold on my credit card while I wait plus a ship and handle fee of about $31. The phone is perfect cosmetically and the display is excellent. After hearing all the issues you guys are having I'm seriously considering keeping the original device and skipping the replacement. Maybe buy AppleCare+ just in case it really craps out down the road. Hmmmm
I would get AppleCare+. The great news is that it includes free express replacements (no $31 fee, but still a hold on CC) so you can keep swapping until you get one you're satisfied with. It is a $1000 phone anyways, give or take depending on the model. Make sure you're happy with what you get and that you don't feel you're accepting subpar quality.

Exactly this. Just above the carrier bars. I've ordered another device rather than raise a ticket for a technician not to spot the issue, and I'll return my duff device before the 14 days are up. I'm worried that this issue is more widespread, and that I'll get another with the same issue. Wonder if it's to do with their new screen tech.

I ended up walking into the Apple Store today and exchanging for a new phone, no trouble. I haven't noticed any problems with the screen on the new one (knock on wood), so so far, so good!

The only new part of the screen tech is the pressure sensors below the same old crap LCD's that are also found in the iPhone 6's.

Did you get a white box warranty replacement (which this early into the game is simply a new phone as there aren't any refurbs yet) or did you bring your original box with EarPods, etc and get a brand new sealed unit? Still on the fence on if I want to exchange my 6S+ for the band issue/pressure point in the lower left corner that hexxed pointed out that apparently quite a few people now see/have.

my 6s plus is the same way. You're absolutely correct that this is acceptable QC

I must be pretty lucky because I don't think I've ever had a defect out of the box. The original iPhone developed bubbles under the screen that was fixed, and my iPhone 5 had lock button issues that was fixed. My 6 Plus was kinda buggy but that might be software, idk. But never out of the box.

mine has screen click issue like this:
I'm moving to another country soon, so I won't be able to return it. I'm planning to give it to repair service when I move to that country, they also have Apple Store and as far as I know we have international warranty with our iPhones.
I just wonder, if I go to Apple store, they would replace my iPhone right away or not in US or other countries that has Apple Store.

if they have the same phone in stock they will give you an instant replacement so pay a visit to ur local store before moving

My slight defect is that the sleep/wake/mute toggle on my 6s doesn't shift fully to the on position, it moves way more when I turn the mute on then when I turn on sound. It still works but it's not as full of a movement between settings as my wife's 6s. I arranged the express repair so they're sending me a new one, then I return the old one within 10 days. Any reason to think they wont agree with it being a big problem and I'll get charged some fee, or are they pretty good about simple exchanges like this for a brand new phone?

No one else had something like this? I also think the sound is more distorted from the speakers during podcasts/music vs. my old 6 and my wife's new 6s.

I brought my box in, so I got a full retail replacement.

I think I'm actually going to return the 6S Plus. Not so much because of defect, but because it was an impulse buy, and the money is more important right now.

HOWEVER.

I plan on buying the phone again in November or December, and I hope by then there will be some improvements with the pressure point at the bottom, because it's very distracting to me. I know with the Air 2 the distortion problems eventually were solved, and many models now aren't nearly as bad as they were at the beginning, mine included.

So by then, I hope the 'pressure point' is resolved. A slightly warmer screen is okay to me, so long as it's not piss yellow and it's uniform.

so whenever i try to use Facebook messenger the speaker phone has rattling sounds when on phone. i tried other Phone app but that seems to be fine. Anyone else facing this problem? i am using 6s plus!

I've now seen 3x 64GB iPhone 6s Plus, and all 3 have the blue tinge spine, with a small pressure point toward the lower left edge of the screen.

This is my issue too. On the phone to Apple now to see if I can get it replaced... although I bet they'll:

a) send me a refurb instead of brand new

b) send me one with the same problem...
