A lot of these problems I experienced with the many iPhone 6's I had to swap. Many had dead pixels, bad backlighting, darker segments, and about half of them had the loose screen making a popping sound. Reported them all to Apple and they still haven't fixed it one gen later. I've bought 3 premium Android phones this year and can't fault any of them.
Seriously? The 6S has the screen popping? I had to get so many replacements for my 6 because of that issue.

This is my issue too. On the phone to Apple now to see if I can get it replaced... although I bet they'll:

a) send me a refurb instead of brand new

b) send me one with the same problem...

If you really want to replace your phone and you bought it direct with Apple, why would you want to do a warranty exchange? Just return the phone and buy a new one.

However, if you bought from your carrier or another third party with restocking fees, I can see your point, though I'd still want my brand new 2 day old phone to have the same serial number as my box.

One of my 6 replacements had the screen popping near the home button, talk about a cheap feel to a device. I sure hope our S models remain pop free.

By the way, when you guys got 6 warranty replacements, did your Apple Care transfer? The two times I did, the Apple Care doesn't transfer to the new one, and it's a huge battle and 25 phone transfers to get it sorted out.

Any replacement you get this early on should be brand new and potentially screened more carefully. If they send you another with a credit hold you can also compare and send it back if it has the same or worse problem. Keep us posted.

I've just sent my 6S back for a replacement, it had a strange grey 'stain/streak' across the middle of the screen and a larger crescent shaped, slightly fainter area, just above it.

Looked like a dodgy backlight, but it moved around a bit when you pressed hard(er) on the screen, almost as if there was an air or fluid gap somewhere in one of the layers of the screen. I tried to take a photograph, but it really didn't come out very well at all.

Once seen it was difficult to 'unseen' as someone else pointed out. Hopefully it will only be a few days before a replacement turns up.....

I initiated an express replacement order for a new 6S to be sent out. Any idea how quickly it will come? If it's better I'll keep it, and if not I'll just go to the Apple store this time and return both (the current defective one and the new one if it's also bad) and buy a new one in the store.

I have a HOT red spot about the size of a pea right in the middle of the screen. This just started to appear..I'll post photos. Def going to the apple store for exchange

Is that a white touch ID button on a Space Grey iPhone?? Does Apple even make a model with black bezel and white button? What am I seeing here? Confused... Sorry to hear about the damage though.

That is just a packaging on the phone.

Went to an Apple Store today to show them the issue with the top edge of the display having light & dark backlight banding very visible.

The guy took one look and agreed that it would be fine for a replacement, but they had no stock of retail boxes, so they got me an genius bar appointment to try and replace it there.

The genius bar person said since it's still within the 14 day period I should wait for a store to have stock and replace it that way, because a genius bar replacement would count as a warranty replacement, which would mean I lose the option for a refund under the 14 day return policy. So I'm gonna wait for stock to turn up and get a swap then.

I looked at the display models on the floor thought just to compare, and every single 6s Plus has the exact same issue - very pronounced backlight light & dark bands at the top of the screen. The 6s models didn't seem to have the problem overall, although one very much did... but every single 6s Plus I saw had the same thing.

It's either the way the 6s Plus is always gonna be, or there's a LOT of them being made sloppily in the first batches.

Sorry some of you are having display problems. My 6s seems to be fine. This is only my 3rd iPhone and
luckily I've never had problems. I will definitely post if I do though.

Maybe they rushed too assemble these phones in time for launch day. If that's the case, not good
since these phones are so expensive.

I can understand OCD but I've owned all the iPhones since the iPhone 1 (except the iPhone 5C) and have never had to return any of them. If I saw something obvious, sure I would have it replaced but I find if I go looking for a problem, I probably would find one. That's why I don't take a microscope to my iPhone. Life it easier that way. Even if my first iPhone had a scratch on the back, would that defect really matter now? Just enjoy the dang phone because next year when you replace it with an iPhone 7, all the fussing you did this year wasn't worth your now shortened life span because of the stress you put yourself through replacing your iPhone 8 times!

It should be really fast. Good luck dude.

So they send out a replacement before you return the original? If that's the case I'll cancel my second order, as I don't want to be without a phone.

Yep, called Express Replacement Shipment. They put a hold on your card for the price of the phone, send you a new one, then you send back yours after the new one arrives!

Re: The pinched screen effect on the 6s Plus. I confirmed it on six display models at the Apple Store in all colors. Seems to be that it's a design flaw for now. Shame. Some are worse than others, though.

There's a visible brick on my screen so I had arranged to get an express replacement. Not sure said replacement will come in the full retail packaging. I will find out tomorrow.

I seem to have a dark/light bands in my screen. It's subtle, but I can see it..,I bought mine through Verizon. How would I go about replacing it? Never had to before...through Verizon or through apple store? Thanks.

Thankfully my iPhone 6s doesn't have yellowing, however one corner shows a slight dark spot but not as bad as what I head/read/seen of the original iPhone 6/6+ screengate.

As far as blemishes on the back, after I removed the protective plastic there were blobs of sticky brown/black residue and I had to use a piece of tape of lift the glue drops off... wouldn't be shocked if the other poster who claimed the antenna white plastic was stained could be related to the glue residue that I found on mine.
