My XS Max Case lasted from 11am Friday once fully charged and by 11am Saturday was at 30% never once using my IPhone battery. I’m a normal to sometimes heavy user. I’m very impressed exceeding my expectation and seems to be more effective then the Mophie case I returned. I also had the Mophie IPhone 8 Case and still do. For me the smart aspect is totally worth it and I’ve found my quick charging brick with a normal lighting cable seems to charge the Apple Smart Case really fast. I have seen the reports on my side with the wireless charging % amount jumping around and I’ve seen the display issue of both status of battery’s charging issue. I believe they’ll fix that in future IOS upgrades so no deal breaker for me. Don’t get me wrong the Mophie case is really nice I think it boils down to personal preference based on the features-material etc.

I’ve had the white case for my Max since Thursday. I’m already used to the size and feel of the case, and I actually love how it looks! It reminds me of 2001 (film), especially when it’s laying flat and you look at the bottom with the holes. Kinda cool!

Not sure about reports of it getting dirty. Mine looks super clean. But I’m also one of those people that has never scratched a screen or dropped a phone.

For size, it fits in my front pockets with no issues, and I’m able to take it out without hassle. Not too heavy, but you definitely notice it.

And for the important part, having the extra battery life is awesome!!! No longer do I have to give it a charge in the afternoon/evening.

I picked up one tonight in white for my XS Max. First thoughts....its big/heavy, but to be expected and not outrageous. If you like the silicone cases you'll like this, look and feel is exactly the same. Tomorrow will be my first full day with it. I'll put my phone through the ringer and report back tomorrow night!

BTW, if anyone is wondering about screen protectors fitting, I have a full tempered glass 3D (edge to edge) and it fits perfect with no issues.

My XR case has just officially hit 0% from a full charge (both case and phone was 100% when unplugged) after about 24-26 hours of normal/heavy use. I’m completely blown away by this thing with how easily it works with iOS. I’ve just added an extra 24 hours worth of battery life to a phone that was already lasting me over 24 hours from a single charge. This is crazy!

Anyone wonder if 0% battery case is truly 0% in the lithium ion battery? Seems they wouldn’t let you truly drain it to 0 seeing how it will happen a lot as it’s use case is to deplete before your phone.

Exactly what I was thinking when I made my earlier comment about not being able to turn the case off.
I don't want to mess up my phone battery, but I'm not looking to mess up the case battery either by letting it constantly drain all the way.

My battery shows erratic behaviour. Let's say I have 90% left, after putting it on my Belkin Qi it instantaniously jumps to 95% charge, after using the phone for a few seconds, it jumps back to 90%. I've seen cases when pluggin in the lightning cable it immidiatly show two extra % charge. Never had this before with other Apple cases. Anyone else has seen this behaviour? [OCD mode off]

Maybe this is similar to something I noticed.

Is it me or does this this case take a long time to charge? I left it on my charging pad last night, but it must not have been on it right so it didn’t charge . Today it’s been on my Samsung Qi (fast charge) it’s been 4 hours and only at 70%.

From 0%, the case should take about 1.5hrs to charge via fast charging USB-C. With wireless charging, it takes a lot longer.

Also noticing erratic battery percentages.

I’ve left it on a lightning charger overnight and when I took it off it only showed 99% for the battery case. Rebooted the phone and it showed 100%. 2 mins later it’s now back to 99% again.

The iPhone itself would stay at 100% for at least 15 mins.

It’s odd. It showed 100% while on charger. I took it off and looked a few second a later 94%

The battery either still needs to be calibrated or that’s a software issue. It was happening to me until the case hit about 80% then it stopped. I was getting 94%, 97%, 90%, 95% then once it hit 80% it went normal.

I just bought mine today. I love it but when I place the phone in the case and put it to charge while I have the phone off inside the case, the phone keeps turning back on. It's really annoying. I've also noticed the percentage being off a bit. I was VERY surprised that the case didn't have charge initially out of the Box. That's very un-Apple like.

I picked one up today at the Apple Store for my X. Fit is fine and no audio issues to note. Made several calls today with no issues. I also never got a pop up about compatibility. I am really pleased with my purchase.

I bought it for my Max and ended up returning it. The battery is great, I had some weird issues when using PD to charge the phone/case combo. It’d act like it was initiating charging over and over again (if I charged my phone on its own it was fine). Ultimately for me though it was just too bulky. I’ll stick and an external PD power pack to top off and use low power mode on days where I’m away from a charger for long periods of time.

The charging is what is baffling me. I went from 95% to 90% charge on the case in the matter of seconds. I put it to charge for a minute and went from 90% to 99% charge but the second I took it off the charger, it showed the case as having 95%. Apple needs to fix this or I'll be returning this.

Hopefully an easy software fix. Seems like a software/calibration issue. How many full recharge cycles have you done?

Apple store near me just received shipments today. Apparently we had a snow storm that caused the delay, anyways I picked up one today. Came with 1% charged but It's plugged in with my phone and is charging up the phone and will eventually charge the case. I'm currently using the Apple 30W USB-C Power Adaptor to charge my device to will have to see how long it takes. My phone was currently at 62% when I plugged it in.

Very interested in how long it takes with the USB-C.

So while the phone is on the battery case, I plugged in at 5:15 pm. However, at the time, my phone was at 62% and the case was at 1%. When the phone was at 70% case was was 24%, and at 6:45 PM, both my phone and the battery case is fully charged. Apparently with USB-C, depending on what you have, it can charge both the phone and the case at the same time.

I do love that 18w usb c charger. I use it everyday on my XR as it’s usually dead around 5pm -6pm. I’m in sales and on the phone all day. 15 to 20 min on that charger gets me almost 50% charge. That charger kinda holds me back from buying the battery case. I loved mine for the 6s. I need to go hold one of the new ones. I fear the wight and bulk will be too much.

I think I’m ending up the opposite. However, I have the XSM. I’ve been waiting for what seems like an eternity for 3rd party usb-c cables (I need 10’) so I can charge quickly when I get home. But now that I have the case, I don’t think I’ll need it. The phone now lasts easily all day, and just charge while I’m asleep.

I’m thinking it’s a choice of one or the other, not necessarily need both.

Of course, it would have been cheaper to go the fast charge route.
