I have the XS Max case and the battery case went dead after a little over 26 hours. Made calls, checked email, texts, Facebook, Snapchat. Now I’m on the actual iPhone battery. This case is amazing. It was little more bulkier and heavier but not enough for me to return. I am glad I purchased it

Most getting the black one? I would prefer the black but my gray 6s one, once the case broke in after a bit, the lint thing went away buy the fingerprints showed like crazy.
The oils on the hands I assume, eventually break down the surface of the case. Because when it was a lint magnet, i had no fingerprints. When the lint went away the case was shinier and showed lots of fingerprints.

For those reason, I’d prefer the white as I don’t think fingerprints would show thru but does it show everyday dirt and blue jeans dye?

I picked up the black one earlier today for the XR. Just finished charging the case up which was pretty fast. Case feels good in the hand and while heavy, it doesn't feel like it is too substantial and the phone doesn't feel top or bottom heavy when using it either.

12 hours into my day I have 61% battery on my XS Max. Why do I want one of these cases?

Edit: I'm not saying why would I want one, I'm saying why do I want one.

They've improved it significantly over the previous gen. I just hate the lint.I'm also not sure it provides a lot of protection for the screen if it falls flat on the face of the phone. The phone doesn't sit deep in the case.

That's my biggest concern. I checked it out in an Apple store today. It is the same thickness as my OtterBox Defender, it's taller than the Defender. It felt good in the hand and grippy. They were out of stock so I didn't have to make a decision on the spot. I am concerned that I am giving protection for the extra battery. The lip on the Defender is really great.

Not sure why the other member said there’s no lip.

I have a glass protector on and there’s still a raised lip all the way around the edges of the phone.

[doublepost=1548298211][/doublepost]I went with the white case, but I’m super nervous about it. Just think it’s going to look super gross once it gets dirty. I’m considering returning for the black one. We’ll see...‍♀️

Update, After using the case for the last few hours, I might consider returning it. The weight is starting to become noticeable enough that its a little overkill

I bought both black and white for my iPhone XS Max. Black is a lint, oil and fingerprint magnet. White is cleaner for now, but might get yellowish over time. Probably returning the black case.

Mine is just as white as the day I got it (that first day of deliveries)

Check the voltage. Almost double what the original cases were so it greatly increases the effective capacity of the case.

I’m not. I have an XS Max and just don’t feel that the battery case has enough battery to warrant a purchase.
I got the black one for my XS Max and my iPhone battery hasn’t been below 100% charged since the day I put it on. Only time I charge during the day now is when I’m in the car and it’s on my cradle which has a built in wireless charger. (GA is a hands free state so I don’t even risk touching it while driving so, why not.) Couldn’t be happier.

Gonna bump the screen brightness up a bit today to see how much of an effect it has on the case.

Yep, no charge at all. I agree, I don't think I've ever had that happen before.
I wonder if they conditioned the battery case and (in a rush to get them sold and shipped) left them discharged. Mine was at 0% charged as well so it was intentional whatever their reason.

12 hours thats cute. Last year I went to Tommorowland spent 3 days away from a charger, I can’t wait to buy this

Working great on my X! Will be my go to case when traveling (no case when I’m in town).

I bought one last night. I haven't decided on whether I'm keeping it. I don't really go out, and I usually end the day with 60-70% battery. I really like the way it feels, but I noticed the buttons aren't as nice the Smart Battery Case for the iPhone 7.

Because there are situations in your life where you could see it being beneficial and it's also a new product..i'm in the same boat.

These Apple cases are significantly superior to any other battery case because of iOS integration, but the rubbery/sticky silicone is very unfriendly to pockets and loves lint.

I think we'd all just rather have a phone 2-3mm thicker with a bigger battery inside.

Just picked it up through my employee pricing program and saved 13 bucks.

Weird though- when putting my iPhone on my Anker wireless charging stand, the phone does not charge.. nor does the case. However I can take the case off and lay it on the charger and it charges. Kinda weird and inconvenient.

I’m using the case with my XR and with the phone and case unplugged at 100% I can get over 48 hours use from one complete charge.
[doublepost=1548466512][/doublepost]I’ve also upgraded to the 18W USB-C charger. Using it charges both the case and the phone at the same time. I was under the impression that the 12W charger did the same thing but from my experience it didn’t.

Update! The iPhone with case on, works in my Anker wireless charging stand. Fits and charges the iPhone and case at the same time.

I’m wondering the same thing...but maybe that’s because the XR battery life is insane!
I have it but am going to return it. Case is way too heavy for me to want to deal with on a regular basis. And as you said, battery life is already great and I'm usually topping off in the car multiple times a day anyway.
