... Because installing a 3rd party app is hard?

No 'installing a 3rd party app' isn't hard, but, compared to having it built into all your devices automatically, and working without you having to do anything, it really sucks to have to:
  1. Realize that there even exists a quality of life benefit in having something like those options mentioned above.
  2. Do the research to find the best/safest 3rd party app.
  3. Install it ... and not just on your one device, but on all of them.
  4. Configure them all.
  5. Hope that company doesn't go out of business, share your data/information, etc.
  6. Re-do most of that when you get a new device.
... and that's just for one of the listed benefits mentioned in previous posts. Having to go through that for a dozen or more features? Feels bad, man.

Lmao who's the current president of the US in this alternate universe of yours?

Did you really go this far into the iPhone forum to complain that people who post here prefer iPhones?
I take the esoteric approach.

All those compromises in the phone at such a high price, for a built in calling function. Really?

You just get used to the subpar iPhones, I get it now. Enjoy using dated hardware and OS for a high price, then

It’s not hard but if you have to do it to replicate every single little thing it can be a pain. Imagine all these features you have on the iPhone. It’s all done without thinking. If you want to switch you can do all of the same things but you have to spend time investigating alternative apps and services which can replicate then setting it all up on the new phone. Some of us are too lazy to just too lazy to go through all of that.

I had a s10e for a couple of days and returned it due to iMessages. I was aware of that but in real life I just hated not having it. Several people I text with are in bad cellular connectivity areas at work and using another platform just wasn’t going to cut it.
Also it bothered me that some apps weren’t scaled for the s10e and just thought it was sloppy feeling. The bloatware was also more annoying than I thought it would be. I got the phone for the headphone jack but will deal without it when I upgrade. Have a 6s now still very smooth but with bad battery drain.

It doesn't surprise me a tall, they raised prices to compete with Apple at the same level, but at the end of the day the device is indeed using Android at it's core. For that price it needs a full on ecosystem on mobile/desktop like I have with iOS /w Mac OS.

One of the things that pissed me off the most is how there isn't any communication between the mobile phone and a PC, taking calls on the Mac for me is over the top because I don't have to take my headphones off and pick up the bloody phone to take a call.

Other small features like being able to copy paste directly from the phone without having a third party app.

At the end of the day it's the ease of accessibility that wins me over every time.

It was a mistake for Samsung to raise prices this year, premium galaxy sales are suffering further because of it.

The way the iPhone works seamlessly with Mac OS and other iOS devices shouldn’t be understated. Really love icloud Universal Clipboard as well.

The ecosystem talk is not relevant worldwide.

Apples ecosystem is not relevant worldwide, but the iPhone is the starting point to Apples ecosystem (Those are two things mutually exclusive). So when you factor in the iPhone is the most popular phone in the world, don’t you think it’s logical to believe that the user will eventually expand that by buying AirPods, maybe an Apple Watch, and iPad, that’s all part of the ecosystem, because the user enjoys their experience with the iPhone, and they realize that the quality and support is included . Do you see how that contributes to the factor that the ecosystem eventually grows? It’s all relevant.

You still don't get it, that not the whole world uses Macs, do you?

The ecosystem talk is not relevant worldwide.
I agree and disagree if that makes sense lol. In the grand scheme of things any tech eco system is not relevant.

But Apple has carved out a very unique set of apps and hardware that complement each other and work together very seamlessly. Combined they make a great overall user experience. It is very hard to replicate that experience with other brands.
Where this fails is when they withhold features from one system so as to not hurt another system.
Such as touchscreen displays on laptops. They do not provide this feature so as to not cannibalize sales of iPads.

Overall though the Apple eco system is very well thought out to keep customers in that eco system while providing a great user experience.

When I said it isn't relevant, I think of this way, because nowadays people that use Macs are too little as a number, compared to PC users.

I really don't have a single friend or even known people that use them.

Indeed, I’m not gonna try to go Android again to then 3 weeks after sell the device and buy an iPhone again lol

There’s a lot of things you need to change or do and i can see why you decided against it even though i know you love the hardware of android.

The fluid connection and the way things work is why it’s why people keep coming back to the iPhone and apple even if it may appear boring as the iPhone had become boring for me.

S10 is a stunning device but when you part from your iPhone you don’t just part with the phone it’s the Apple Watch/air pods/iPad the way it works with each other/passwords/smoothness.

I have the tab S4 and smoothness the iPad simply destroys it...no ecosystem can compete with apple and i found this out with going all in on samsung.

I don’t have a bad word to say about the S10 apart from notifications not coming through when they should when in standby...but while i think the s10 has better hardware and features in terms of ticking all the boxes with performance/smoothness/updates/ecosystem apple still has the best you can offer in terms of your daily life.

Are you sticking with your S10? Or coming back? Or waiting a while?

Well i’ve Just ordered the series 4 nike addition and the new Air pods as i’ve Had real issues connectivity wise with music on Spotify. Music drops out in the car too and the galaxy watch is not great for music as I have to use my phone while with series 4 and air pods i don’t need to access my phone to listen to music.

I’m going to go back to my iPhone i feel as how things work is perfect while the S10 plus and galaxy watch i have to do too much to get simple things to work like music connection. Notifications is frustrating that i need to open my phone to get notifications through as they happen.

I don’t want to lose my S10 plus as i love it as a phone but i currently have medium power mode on it to get longer battery and have back wallpaper to help with battery life which i shouldn’t need to do...i love night mode for settings e.t.c but with that coming to the iPhone soon i won’t miss much there.

Galaxy buds don’t work on my tab s4 so air pods I know will work on my iPad without needing to do anything....

The misses has said you can’t have two phones lol so i think iPhone will be what i will stick with.

Welcome back. Lol.

Yeah that was a big thing for me too. The Galaxy Watch is close, but nowhere near Series 4 AW. Especially if you go cellular. The Galaxy Buds were a nightmare when I tried to use them for calls at work.

There are things I definitely miss about the S10, but I haven’t had an itch to pick it back up since switching back.

I think the thing for me is that all the things you have to do to get things working that would outweigh most of the advantages for me in terms of how I use my phone on a daily basis.

So the galaxy buds only work with phones? I was going to ask you how they connect with your Tab s4 but it seems they don’t. None of the reviews mention using them with anything but a phone.

Yeah it’s just the little things that you think nah i will get used to it but can’t. After having both the galaxy buds and the air pods fit in the ear i like the air pods better. Granted it doesn’t feel as safe when running but it doesn’t hurt my ears like the buds did.

As for calls i don’t use my buds for calls but if i did i would likely decide against it as it is better on air pods.

Twitter notifications is a big thing for me as I follow a lot for sport scores and news and on my s10 it stops sending you notifications when you reach 49 tweets. On the iPhone/iPad it doesn’t stop.

Notifications wise and how they are stacked via being grouped look better on IOS.

Yeah I tried to get it to work with the tab S4 by downloading the gear app but they work sync at all. Somebody suggested it working if you turn Bluetooth off on your phone but that goes against the point of things as nothing would come through on the watch.

The TAB S4 will get use for my partner and daughter to use and for us to stream movies to the TV but i will be using my iPad Pro tablet wise. It’s so much better in all areas apart from screen quailty and everything syncs with everything better.

My dad is wanting some wireless buds so he will be happy to have the galaxy buds...although not sure how he will cope call wise as he makes calls with his headphones so hopefully they will be ok.

You got your new air pods yet? Any difference from your previous gen?

Yeah I’ve had my new ones for a few weeks now. Main differences for me are it’s a bit quicker to switch between devices, the range seems a bit better and hey Sri.

The battery life is great again but that’s just because my old ones had gotten bad over time. That’s the main reason why I got the new ones coz the battery life is so bad on li old ones.

Yeah you shouldn’t have to have so many work arounds to get the buds to work. They should just work.
