Yeah I’ve had my new ones for a few weeks now. Main differences for me are it’s a bit quicker to switch between devices, the range seems a bit better and hey Sri.

The battery life is great again but that’s just because my old ones had gotten bad over time. That’s the main reason why I got the new ones coz the battery life is so bad on li old ones.

Yeah you shouldn’t have to have so many work arounds to get the buds to work. They should just work.
Yeah it’s what has made me buy the air pods again. Getting the wireless case as I do like my wireless devices.

Got to wait til 16-23 may though. Guessing still in high demand.

Yeah same here. I’m going wired for the next month. Oh wait. Best Buy has stock for shipping them. Hmmm.

There’s a lot of things you need to change or do and i can see why you decided against it even though i know you love the hardware of android.

The fluid connection and the way things work is why it’s why people keep coming back to the iPhone and apple even if it may appear boring as the iPhone had become boring for me.

S10 is a stunning device but when you part from your iPhone you don’t just part with the phone it’s the Apple Watch/air pods/iPad the way it works with each other/passwords/smoothness.

I have the tab S4 and smoothness the iPad simply destroys it...no ecosystem can compete with apple and i found this out with going all in on samsung.

I don’t have a bad word to say about the S10 apart from notifications not coming through when they should when in standby...but while i think the s10 has better hardware and features in terms of ticking all the boxes with performance/smoothness/updates/ecosystem apple still has the best you can offer in terms of your daily life.
Welcome back!

So which iPhone are you getting after S10?

I got bored too and sold my iPhone X for huawei....

After how many days i miss my iPhone and apple watch haha. The simplicity of iOS is what makes people come back..
Everything just works right out of the box.
There are so many things in android that u need to configure to make it work the way u like it.

I might get XR or XS next week.

Luckily I still have my iPhone XS Max

I had ordered new air pods from apple but 16-23rd may is too long so got some from John Lewis here to deliver on Tuesday while the Nike series 4 arrives Wednesday

Wish I hadn’t sold my series 4 now a about 3 weeks ago and costing me more money but mistakes happen

What’s John Lewis???

Yeah it’s 2 years which is better than Apple offer.

If you sell your Samsung watch you can at least recoup some of the cost of buying your Apple Watch again and your galaxy buds were free so that doesn’t matter.

Been looking around on comparison sites and most can get for it is £120 and £750 for S10 plus

It’s not too bad but that’s what held me back from getting the S10. I got the S7 edge, note 8 and S9 plus and every time I ended up selling them after a month or so and then loosing money.

Yeah could be worse, obviously the longer I wait though the more it goes down so my put in the latest quote now so price won’t drop

Galaxy S10+ review: Too many compromises for the sky-high price
https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/201...msung-needs-to-offer-a-more-complete-package/

“so many other nonsense features that give a good demo but aren't actually things you'd want to live with. The cameras aren't great. The fingerprint reader is slow. The curved display just distorts the image. What good is a heart-rate sensor that isn't on a watch? The phone will be quickly be out of date. The entire device feels like it's designed around a sales pitch rather than the end user.”

Guy really didn’t hold back.

“The Ugly
It is still shocking to pay $1,000 for a smartphone and get crapware and ads.”

^Shame. Galaxy S10 is awesome for me. The recent update fixed the fingerprint scanner for me. Fantastic phone with the best screen I've seen this far.

That’s the thing about the s10s fingerprint sensor, hardly anyone complained about it on the until the fix. The one or to that did, got flamed.

Can’t have it both ways.

I never had issues with ads

Only slowdowns I had was if I had a lot of notifications and tried to close all the UI just crashed and I couldn’t get in the phone

Notifications was the biggest issue. Notifications never came through straight away...yesterday had one that came through an hour after my max. Nothing worse than 15 notifications coming through at once

S10 is a great phone but a few areas let it down...I had to do loads of different things to save battery and got tired of playing around with stuff. Shouldn’t need to. Some reckon I just had a lemon but not convinced I did or if it was just how it ran...oh well least I tried the other side

That’s pretty awful writing right there. I moved back to the iPhone but still think the Galaxy S10 is an amazing device and well worth the money when you compare it to Apple’s pricing.

To be fair though it has been a mixed bag - Some people didn't have issues with it when it came out. It wasn't something every reviewer brought up because it wasn't an issue for everyone. When I got the phone I was a bit dismayed. It worked sometimes but not all the time. Seems like those with screen protectors had more issues, vs those who removed the preinstalled screen protector, I kept mine on (not sure if every country got them pre installed but in Canada they have been)

Doesn't matter now as it's been working without issue for me. If someone else has had issues with it, It wouldn't surprise me - I did until the update and it was disappointing/frustrating because you have this awesome new tech that only worked half the time or unless you set it up in a very specific way. But now I haven't had a fingerprint rejection yet including the few times when the finger has been wet from rain and has given me a new improved User experience. Though I never removed my screen protector to see if that played a role in errors, which might have been the case especially considering the video MKBHD did with it

It was reassuring to see it get fixed with a software update, hopefully Samsung continues to refine it and in future phones expands the area we can scan

I wanted to find out if anyone recently tried the S10 and returned to an iPhone? I got an itch to switch to the S10 due to the Qualcomm radios, a headphone jack, no need for an Apple TV to mirror a screen to a smart TV, a compact device (S10e), PiP mode, split-screen apps, an always on display, and to save $ over the iPhone XS Max.

However, I am having some second thoughts because the XS Max has great battery life, FaceID, less software quirks, handles SMS and MMS much better with low signal strength, and works well enough to do the core functions pretty well.

I wanted to read up on someone's thoughts on switching over and if they had similar feelings about being unsure about a switch?

I made the switch from the X, and now I'm back on the X lol. I know everyone has different experiences, but the only thing I liked was the screen. The fingerprint scanner was insanely frustrating for me. I typically have dry hands, work on cars, outdoors, ect. The fingerprint scanner was basically useless for me, and face unlock is straight trash as far as security goes, so that is out. And truthfully, iMessage was deeply missed for the short time I was away. I even did the iMessage hack using my MacBook and an Android app. That wasn't any good either.

I think the S10 is a great piece of hardware and I don't think I would have any issues with it. However I know I would switch back to the iPhone because it's simply what I prefer.

Back on Xs Max after trying the Huawei P30 Pro and the Galaxy S10.
It just works;) .
I just don't have the energy for it anymore. The past 3 years I got the latest Samsung phone and tried to use it alongside my iPhone and every time the Samsung phone went into a drawer after a few weeks. In each case the Samsung phone was great and I had no issues with it. I really like the look of the S10+ but I know what the outcome would be so it's not worth all the hassle.

S10e: Born 3/14/19, RIP 4/23/19. Put it up on Swappa last night and it sold instantly for $620. Was a fun few weeks but I am sticking with Pixel 3XL for my Android fix. Have been back on my iPhone for the past 2 weeks as a daily driver.

His conclusions aren’t as awful as you make it out to be;

“I think when you are charging $900-$1,000 for an Android phone, you ought to be able to offer the whole smartphone package. But Samsung's cluttered software and its historic inability to deliver the latest functionality and security improvements in Android make the Galaxy S10 a tough sell at this ultra-premium price point. High prices come with high expectations. You'll have to accept a lot of compromises with the Galaxy S10, and I just don't see a reason to. When companies like OnePlus are offering a similar hardware experience with a superior software package, why would you spend $350 more for a Samsung phone?”

He doesn’t believe that the device justifies the price tag and that’s a fair point. I don’t either and judging by the samiple of returns in this thread, I’m not the only one that thinks so.

If it is a great device people will judge it on it merits and purchase one, if not they will purchase something else.

Didn’t expect you to switch back so soon either.
