I think I'll wait till tomorrow just in case my restore goes bad.

how long is this supposed ot take? my itunes has been saying prepairing for restore for about 5 minutes, and my phone is stuck with nothing but the apple logo on it.

I just updated and i had no problems. Went from a jailbroken 1.1.4 restored to 1.1.4 then restored to 2.0. Everything is great exchange works, mobile me push email works, i have synced and bought apps. The only thing that is broken is visual voice mail. When i click on the button nothing happens, if i hold down the button it will select, but the screen does not change. Any suggestions?

just got mine working and i've played around with a few apps. A lot of them seem sluggish though.... and I too have had trouble with apps crashing and sending me back to home screen.

It does take quite a while, just have to be patient really!

Is mobile me up where you are? Still getting nothing there.

Radio apps are amazing (and function just as well even on EDGE). Only a matter of time before there's an XM App. That'll be great.

k,maybe i am a novice but i changed the file to a .ipsw but when i go into itunes and hit option update, in the window the file does not show up.

any ideas? oh i have 'hide files' turned off

Reinstalling 2.0 through itunes isn't going to make a lick of difference with these issues. If it IS the firmware it's going to need a new version (i.e. 2.0.1), not just a gui updater that uses the same file.

I don't think these are problems with the firmware. Seems very easy to update the Apps (in phone and in itunes) and I think there will be many updates in the coming week. For ex Google Mobile isn't even a 1.0 release! Bumpy App road ahead for a bit

i got an error the first time i tried... im trying once more, any ideas?

EDIT: worked the second time!

1 hour with 2.0 and this thing is amazing. Have downloaded only one program (Texas Hold'em) and the graphics are incredible. However, it showed me NO ONE should really consider 8gb 3g - Hold'em is 127mb.

So far, everything is actually snappier than 1.1.4. Only one problem so far - when I first tried contacts I got a search dialog - but now no search window. Not sure what that is all about.

Exchange Activesync = works great - took a while to do the first sync to get all the contacts, emails, and calendar info - so I'd clean out the Inbox on your desktop before the first sync. Gets to and from my iPhone as fast as my BB Curve (In other words hits the Inbox both places about the same time).

WinMobile and Palm look so 1995 now, and if I were RIM, I'd be more than a little nervous...

So if I have 1.1.4 and restore though iTunes, will it automatically come back as 2.0? I've been trying to download the file but for some reason can't open the file.

Has anyone updated from an Unlocked (tmobile) 1.1.4 to 2.0???

Let me know, I really want to try!

2.0 = broken volume slider?

The volume slider in General Preferences after I installed 2.0 resets to about 20% every time I relaunch preferences. It doesn't affect the phone's actual volume and updates as soon as you hit the volume up/down buttons on the phone, it's just annoying!
