all i can think to do is put it all in there again do u have it stored somewhere else. and some1 PLZ HELP ME TOOOO:confused::confused::confused:

If you sync your phone after installing 2.0, it should just go off the last backup that is stored in iTunes, which would be from whenever the last time you synced before today.

i got an error the first time i tried... im trying once more, any ideas?

EDIT: worked the second time!

I got a error when i tried to do it also 2wice, i was still running a old version of itunes like 7.4 is everyone using 7.7 is that the problem do u need 7.7

Yeah, I've upgraded. Seems nice, searching for contacts has got slower using SMS though, quite sluggish.

Can't wait for iCall to appear on the AppStore :)

update thru PC at work

if I update using my PC at work, will I be left with an empty iphone. All the music are synced with my home PC. I remembered I did my 1.4 update at work too, but all my content remained intact afterward. Just wanna confirm this, anyone?

Before someone with a jailbroken phone/touch updates, SFTP into your phone and copy a few applications from Installer to your computer. Then drag the folder into the "Applications" section of Itunes. Upgrade to 2.0 and see if the applications can be added.

Mine show up in "Applications" (without icons - see photo) but I don't feel like upgrading to 2.0 because I love Orb and Mobile Scrobbler and others.

Mail Keeps Crashing

Updated successfully from 1.1.4 to 2.0, synched the iphone with a back-up which I did just before the update. Everything works fine except Mail. I use gmail (IMAP), when I open the mail program it crashes and returns to the home screen.

I tried deleting the account in settings and re-entering the details, but it doesn't delete the account, nor does it allow me to add a new account or turn off the Gmail account. Correction it lets me fill in the details, click the buttons etc, but with no results. I've tried turning off the Push settings. Nothing works. I also tried syncing selected mail accounts in iTunes but get the attached error message.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

If you update to 2.0, it will erase everything. Wait until you get home.

Successful update. However...

I can not receive incoming calls. They all roll straight to vm.

Also, internet access is sloooooooooooooooow.

Any suggestions.

UPDATE: Fixed! Just had to reset the phone.

Where is the application Folder?!?

I updated my itunes, and manually installed the 2.0 iphone update, but I don't seem to have the applications folder that is part of the update (Below the Library tab) Any idea what is going on?
oops, got it! never mind.

Success

I am now running the 2.0 firmware:D

I had a jailbroken/unlocked phone with O2 SIM.

Restored to virgin 1.1.4.

Activated iPhone with iTunes account.

Updated to 2.0.

Activated again with iTunes account.

And now playing with the App store.

Very happy.

contacts app

is anyone else getting a contacts application after updating to 2.0? i dont really mind it, but it's kind of weird considering this is the iphone firmware and we already have the phonebook functionality. you can't even delete it.

The upgrade takes about 15-20 minutes, but just be patient and let it do it's thing. It's not a corrupted or bad firmware at all; it is downloaded from Apple's servers, and they're obviously aware of the downloads. If it was bad they would have blocked it off hours ago.

I'm running 2.0 just fine, getting calls and texts and all that. But the EDGE/Wi-Fi switching seems to be a bit quirky. The App Store seems to switch over to EDGE even though I'm connected to Wi-Fi.

And I can't get the Remote to work :(

Yeah that appeared on page 2 after I did the update.
