Ummmm

iOS has been a world of control, I really wanted iOS7 to introduce Vector graphics but they didn't.
.

Again, sir...it depends on who you roll with. Our guys have been doing SVGs for awhile...as well as Paintcode...

Last time I logged in on Mac Rumors was when the "OG" iPad was launching. A big howl-woo to S.J. and a lil pour of this Tecate that I'm currently indulging in.

Let's say this is, in fact, the real deal iPhone 6... let's just say iiiit : [

There's a few things to consider.

The materials.
Rigidness.
The contour. The form factor.
The way it feels in your hand. When your holding it.

Of course, when you grasp it from time to time and figgit your finger around that protruding lens and flip it over to see the atrocity of those bands that has bestowed on us... it's not pleasant. It's not.

In fact, it can be a little bothersome. Aggravating. A nuisance if you will.

I'm hoping on the 9th, they'll pull a rabbit out of the hat or 9/9/14 shall not only be a day of revelation, but a beginning of some ocd shoulder scratching epidemics living with this thing on a daily basis

One thing that makes me think its a fake is the spacing between the apps and the edge of the screen. Whether it be an iPad or iPhone, every iOS that I can recall has the apps equidistant between one another and the edge of the screen. The "iPhone 6" has a noticeably smaller distance between one another and a bigger gap between the edge of the screen.

Thoughts?

The more I see the design and specially after coming to peace that this is something that I'll carry for the rest of the year.

I'm seeing a lot of influences of one of Jony Ive favorite industrial designers "Naoto Fukasawa" Jony already took inspiration from him when he designed one of the iPod Nano iterations and I see a little bit of Naoto's Infobar in the curvatures of the new iPhone 6.

I think you are 'Zaprudering' because "Apple Pre-Launch Leak Letdown Syndrome"...

No 5.5" model?

I'm starting to think that there's not going to be a 5.5" model. We've seen tons of images of the 4.7" version, but close to nothing of the 5.5. Either it's behind in production and there simply isn't anything to leak yet, or it simply doesn't exit. Either way, I'd be hugely disappointed. I know other people won't care, but I was looking forward to the bigger model.

Yeah...that iPod touch protruding camera...the horror! THE HORROR!!!

After having an N5 and a 5S for about a year, I can get with the 4.7 but something the size of like a Galaxy Note just seems nuts. I see people with them on BART all the time and...I guess it's just not for me.

People seem to like them tho.

I expect to hear this from the marketing team:
  • Organic
  • Natural
  • Ergonomic
Jony: "Feels so natural in your hands"

man everyone is so delulu it's ridiculous. apparently the camera bulge is enough of a reason to think that apple would never ever ever. they did it on the ipod touch and honestly that looks better than the iphone 5, so..

looks real enough to me. if its real then its a very nice looking phone, the form factor looks extra sleek. no complaints on this end!

It's ok design. Nothing spectacular. Worst iPhone design and will age badly compared to the yearly updates of the now design conscious Android competitors.

Money is on the Space Grey version for the 6.

For this state of the game this design is a letdown on every way. The 3G was what is was for its time this is 2014 the iPhone 6 is bulky and chunky.

Recessed volume buttons make me wanna puke...

Sorry I reedited my original post. I added I haven't logged in on Mac Rumors since the "OG" iPad was launching.

This to me has to be a fake. There's just no way.

Maybe you could get away with this during the "dominance" back with iPhone 3g... actually no, not even then.

You accept this model, that's fine. That's great. I don't think it's that bad either. But is this something you would be happy with or proud of? Amongst the competition or choices out there?

This is what I expected:

Beauty and precision.

Maybe the 6S will work out how to make Touch ID work under a full glass panel like that with the induction trigger not being a conductive metal ring...while having the whole phone incased in metal, like they seem to like to do, but still have usable reception. They tried with laser holes, it doesn't work.

Here's the thing tho. As of right now, it is going to be the best phone on earth to run iOS. If that actually matters to you, it is a no-brainer.

My first smartphone was a 3gs, i carried that thing for 3 years, after apple refused to make a larger screen (longer doesn't count) I reluctantly made the switch to android and bought the galaxy note, was a great phone till about 4 months ago now it is starting to become slower than i can bear and battery life is getting worse and such. When the rumors started flying of a 5.5" iphone i was very excited and made the decision if it materializes that would be my next phone. Which I will carry at least until a 5.5" iphone 7 or 7s. I am pretty confident that they will debut the 5.5" and the iWatch on Tuesday but probably won't release them until closer to christmas which i'm ok with, as long as the 5.5" or "iPhone Air" as its been called (which i kinda dig that name) comes this year, I can hold off on replacing the OG Note until then, if it's release isn't until early 2015 (which I HIGHLY doubt), I don't know if i'll be able to hold off that long. In 2 days, 11 hours and 41 minutes, we will all know and can stop guessing.

I'm sure that's it and I think it looks awful. One of the least attractive smartphones on the market. I'll still get it because I'm dependent on some of Apple's ecosystem and aesthetics are not paramount, but I am not impressed.

If this is real, doesn't that mean that many of the parts we've seen leaked - the front panels I mean, are not genuine? They don't seem to match up.

One or the other isn't real.

I think it looks great, i would of rather had the more flat sides of the 4/5 then the rounded but it still looks good, if they would of thrown nice front facing speakers on this thing like the HTC one, its a home run.

the 3g looks amazing still
the 4 looked the best when it came out
but for me personally the 3g holds is beauty best with the years
