Is it possible to have actual numbers on the watch faces so we can easily see what time it is and dont have to guess it? Thank you.

Looks nice and it's time to let my old Series 0 to retire.

Yep, same

It's Been ok but I can't use it for apps since 2016 and it's only good for the time or notifications.

Will be good to use a fast watch at last.

Looking back, series 0 was a mistake and a rip off really and not ready for public use.

Not one peep, or leak anywhere in the last few months about the processor in the Series 4. This is the heart and soul of the watch. Sure hope they have upgraded it.

They absolutely must have, to drive all these extra complex GUI elements with any level of smoothness. I’m really excited. The S3’s CPU was such a big jump over S2 & prior. If they manage that again this is gonna be an unreal device :O

So beautiful... take my money!

What is that UVI thing on the watch face?? A new sensor detecting the UV?
Not sure if someone's replied to this, but it's UV Index. It will probably draw the data from a weather app rather than detect it directly, but who knows! We'll see on the 12th.

Regarding the invite logo: it is the Apple Campus plain and simple. Even though there will be a new Series 4 watch, the revenue from it's sales are dwarfed by the other Apple products. Apple would not promote something that has such low relative revenue.

How would that face look on the 2 and 3?

Guessing it'll be S4 exclusive, like the "explorer" one for the S3 LTE

Totally agree, people look into these far too much, but it's obviously just the new campus.

Yes it's slow...maybe the slowest gadget I currently use lol

A pressure sensor would allow the watch to measure depth when swimming or (if water resistance gets better) scuba diving...will we get a dive computer app?

Well, long hair hanging down, hoodies, broad-brimmed hats... Fusing sensor data is no good if the sensor data coming in is bogus. :)

Cushion, do you mean like, a bulging display? Apart from being a potential scratch magnet, I'm thinking it might make touch sensing more difficult. Also, a bulging sapphire display cover glass grinding and polishing would probably also be a lot more time consuming (which means even pricier stainless and ceramic models.)

Hi, no by a 'cushion' I mean that the watch case is shaped almost like a cushion (hence the name) that the display is then set on.

It means that the case 'bulges' out beyond the watch face. Imagine taking a round wall clock and putting it on top of a typical loose cushion that you'd have on a couch and it's kinda like that!

It's very much associated with 70s watches and makes for a chunky feel to the watch.

That alone probably explains why it's not on the watch - a cushion makes the watch larger (and hence it feels more 'masculine') and also works better with circular or 'square-circle' faces.

I'd hoped that Apple were going to go for a square-circle - as they seem fond of that shape - but it's probably too hard to do on a watch right now, when there is 3 years of UI and 3rd party apps that expect to be on a slightly tall rectangle.

Ah well - in the next two years maybe!

All these smartwatches are so bulky, thick and ugly. Definitely something you don't want to wrap around your wrist. Tech still has to go a long way to make these devices more appealing.

That Watch face looks way too busy. What are you supposed to be glancing at? I wouldn’t even know what to look at there’s just too much noise there. At least make it look nice, I don’t understand anyone saying how it does. Just a cluster of information slapped on the front with no thought put behind it. Then again that’s what I’ve been to myself about all of Apples software descions as of late.

well, I for one would appreciate having an information-dense display with lots of complications. i always felt, that i wanted to see more of them on the face. after you‘ve looked at it three times, you‘ll know where to look for the information you‘re seeking at the moment. and, if you don‘t like it, just leave them blank or use one of the old faces. at the moment i got a few different faces wih dfferent sets of complications, depending on where i am or what i‘m doing at the moment. but in reality, i often don‘t bother switching those faces, so one face to rule them all is very welcome. I wouldn‘t mind automatic, intelligent face switching depending on time, location, etc... though.

I was hoping for something more spectacular than an uv-sensor (e.g., body temperature, infrared thermometer, laser for measuring distances, gas chromatograph & geiger counter :) ...) but I guess we‘ll have to wait a bit longer for something like this.

The other analog watch faces all have customizable details for the tick marks, I don’t see why this wouldn’t. You could also use one of the NINE COMPLICATIONS for a digital clock if you wanted.

CPU specs generally leak through something like GeekBench, of which the watch has no equivalent.
