The question wasn't whether it does or doesn't.

The question that I answered was whether a person can have their gender legally changed from male to female or vice versa.

While most states require the complete gender reassignment process outlined in my prior post, a small handful of states do not require the full surgical and hormone treatments.

But, they do all require a doctor to confirm that your gender identity has been changed.

The article below describes the differences between different states regulations.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wa...hroom-law-debate-changing-birth-certificates/
That is the ONLY question and the answer is no. Regardless if they "legally" change their birth certificate or not, they are and will always be biologically the sex they were born with. It's really that simple.

Reading most of the comments/posts I understand, clearly, why a "person" (for calling him someway) like Trump is the president of the US. Bravo Apple and keep fighting, Gavin!
You haven't a clue. And why your candidate lost.

Can the mods please close this all-too-familiar thread soon?
Why exactly? Because you don't like it? Suck it up.

The argument about breaking down society was also used against those who wanted to racially integrate public restrooms.

Wait a minute!! Race and gender are NOT logically equivalent.

People are living in a fantasy land if they truly believe that anything is "what they feel like it is"
I'm sorry but this level of detachment from reality is truly mental illness.

The product of this insanity is chaos.

How is this topic not about thoughts and feelings? Transgender people want to use the bathroom they're comfortable and safe in.
No, the topic is not about feelings. Law does not care about feelings.
But I'll follow your train of thought...if it's about transgender feelings whether they feel safe or not, how about my feelings and my kids feelings whether they feel safe or not?

I have a confession. I don't need to have witnessed it myself to view him as a terrible human being and sexual predator. A confession works

Second, as a Republican (assuming you are one) you have zero credibility and absolutely no ground to stand on when it comes to the idea of propagating self serving ideology. GOP invented it and perfected it over the years. Your party still believes homosexuality is a choice that can be "fixed" with some prayers and treatment. Large number of Republicans today are backwards minded, stuck in the past, unable to cope with the progress of modern society scared little gun-loving racist, sexist, misguided nut cakes. The party is made up predominantly of old white man who refuse to yield social and political power to anyone who isn't them. Most of them "Christian," too. Lovely people. That's just the truth - whether you like it or not.

Psycho alert, writing people off entirely due to an assumed party affiliation. Talk about wagon before the horse.

Nobody takes you seriously with that self-entitled, SJW, echo chamber attitude. Confirmation bias and cognitive dissonance has literally ruined you and the way you interact in society. Ever heard of see no evil hear no evil? Except you are the exact opposite of that, judging by almost every single post you've made in this thread alone.

Thats just the truth whether you like it or not.

Or live with it, or speak with my congressman/governor or vote. Regardless of the situation, I will do what's best for me and my family.

Cool. Get ready to live with it. Because states rights on this issue will be struck down by the supreme court. Even with a conservative court.

Ahuh.. yeah ask a man to do 2 things at once.... exactly.

Here's a few links to show how male and female brains are slightly different as I stated, so what did I get wrong with my 'facts' again? In fact considering one used MRI scans for its results I'd say its results were conclusive, let alone the physical size difference.

https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2016/07/160713152154.htm

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencet...ses-area-responsible-experience-emotions.html

https://www.neuronation.com/science/male-vs-female-brains-there-scientific-evidence-our-differences

Your original point was brains are inherently male or female and cannot be surgically changed to the opposite, the implication being that transgender individuals are illegitimate due to there being a concrete male or female brain. That's untrue.

First of all, we are just scratching the surface in our understanding of how the human brain functions. Statements like male and female brains being different are based upon statistical observations rather than a complete understanding of the full functionality of the brain. More recently - as was highlighted in the article I linked - we've started to understand that there is not a "male" or "female" brain but rather individual regions of our brains can exhibit behaviors that are statistically more masculine or feminine as far as our understanding of such limits. So you could very easily have one region of your brain that is 80% masculine leaning and another 75% feminine and a third 60% masculine etc... The brain is a mishmash with no clear definition of man or woman, just statistical anomalies that are pervasive across the entire population. None of this is contradicted in the articles you linked, in fact the article I linked builds upon these previous assumptions and expands our knowledge of the topic.

Now, I'm going to make a leap here but with those data it is entirely plausible that a portion of the population could have brains that formed in such a way that they absolutely feel feminine or masculine despite the genitalia they possess at birth.

Finally, although surgical alteration of the brain to affect gender is currently not in the realm of possibility the brain has also been found to be incredibly plastic, to the point of documented cases of the blind "seeing" (measured via MRI as stimulation of the area of the brain associated with vision along with descriptions from individuals that they "see") via auditory signals similar to bats' sonar. There have been studies that the way in which we think and perceive change greatly over the span of our lives. We know that our chemistry affects the functionality of our brains via both medications and chemical abuse. Again, it is fully plausible to think that various gender reassignment treatments (e.g. hormone therapy) could alter an individual's brain; in fact I would expect as much.

Mmm, not really. Might want to check on that again.

Last year the supreme court sided with a school banning a transgender from going into the boys bathroom. Oh and thats with conservative judges and liberal judges.

I am really, really, sick of reading all this transgender/bathroom/etc. crap. The human species is male and female. If someone makes a CHOICE to live a deviant lifestyle, I don't see why they should get special attention and privileges.
[doublepost=1488461298][/doublepost]

Don't be another liberal robot spouting what hear other people saying. Trump did not take away anyone's rights. His decision was to leave these policies to the state level.

As a transwoman with actual experience in this issue, I can tell you that it is NOT a choice. What part of my life makes me a deviant ? You don't know anything about me.

It's always interesting how the argument is always claiming special rights. That tired argument was used over and over regarding gay marriage. It's about EQUAL rights.

So looking at my profile pic, do you -really- think I belong in the mens room ? Hell no, I would opening my self up to all sorts of mindless attacks from bigots.

Lev. 18:22

  • ‘You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination." The Lord said that.

Talk all you want about that in church or with those who believe in your religion. Not everyone follows your religion and not everyone is religious. Not a single thing in that book can have a bearing on public policy.

Regarding your "looks", no offense but that's how you choose to make yourself look. How you look has zero to do with biology.

So, do you want a man with a beard to walk into the women's room because they were born with a vagina ? They belong in the mens room like they identify.

Do you want me in the mens room wearing my fishnets, skirt and heels ?

Transgender folks have been in the bathrooms for pretty much ever. It wasn't a problem until the GOP lost the battle on gay rights and decided to attack LGBT on another front.
[doublepost=1488500000][/doublepost]
If you have a penis you go to male bathrooms and if you have vagina you go to female bathroom and Apple should remain off bathrooms and concentrate making good tech devices

Why are you so concerned or interested in the genitals of another human in the bathroom ?

Apple like many other bay area companies protect their employees rights. They respect their employees and don't want to see them mistreated. A good company produces great products _AND_ treats their employees well. I don't just support Apple because of their products. It's also because they treat them employees with dignity and respect.

Companies that don't support my rights, don't get my money. I applaud them for doing the right thing.

Are you a doctor ? Because you seem to know more than my doctor. What else do you know about being trans that my doctor and psychologist doesn't know. Maybe you can give them some tips.

What research have you done on the human brain that says it's a choice ?

Exactly, sorry but this notion of Trasngender and being able to change your gender just isn't physically or biologically possible. Yes, you can change the appearance to resemble the other gender, but there is actual chemistry and DNA that goes into gender than cannot be changed.
Gender is state of mind and transgender minds are wired to the gender they transition to. The body parts and hormones they have are irrelevant compared to what they know themselves to be. Just respect that.

As a human, an earth citizen, a male, a bisexual, an atheist person..you name it I do have a problem having females disguised as males entering men’s bathroom it makes feel very very uncomfortable so it’s my right to express my feelings to refuse females to enter men’s bathrooms. So it’s my feelings against hers I guess. Unless she becomes biologically a male she goes to female bathroom.

Wrong again. If you read my previous post, the transgender that challenged a school and lost was under your buddy Obama's watch.
Do me a favor and bring facts when you have a discussion with me.
