As a buyer for a University library, the prices are on par with other design and art books. I'm sure it's a small print run, high-quality book. It's basically a sequel to their other design books. (So Far, and the 1997 one).
Didn't Jobs say no one reads books any more?
Call me crazy, but for once, I'm actually kind of glad Apple has done this! It's something out of their norm, and just meant as a collector's item. So obviously it's not for everyone. $200 or $300, it's for a very niche customer, and I love that!
I think I'll get the $300 one.
I wonder if the 10.2" and 12.75" sizes are hinting at next years iPads...
[doublepost=1479228233][/doublepost]These $200 and $300 books are more evidence of where Tim Cooks priorities lie.
Give me a break. Apple has tons of circumstances where for example apps like the remote app (true story) was made by ONE PERSON. Im sure a couple people worked on this as a side project. A side project that had no bearing on current products.
Umm... I thought we had already established that.![]()
300 Dollars? I'm seriously thinking about canceling my Macbook Pro Order, selling my iPhone 7 and my iPad Air 2 and leave this godd**** eco system and this company FOR GOOD.
Id' just like to remind you all that those of us that went to college spent this much on a single book before that was absolutely useless. Just some perspective.
guess not, it needs to be repeated about 200 or 300 times.
[doublepost=1479249303][/doublepost]Let's see, the price increase on the MacBooks and now this book is all going to be used to make up the difference in decline on the quarterly profits its been missing on.
The height of arrogance and self absorption. What has been so special about Apple design lately?
Does anybody know if it's going to be on a yearly refresh cycle or will they screw us over by making us wait 18 months for the next gen? 2nd generations of Apple products are usually the best but I'm getting the itchy "buy" finger. Trying to decide whether to get one now or wait.
